Blue Suede Shoes by Deborah Reardon

4 STARS

Blue Suede Shoes is a well told story. But I had a hard time getting into it. Maybe because the missing is a little girl. I raised two girls and thinking if one of mine had gone missing.

The characters are interesting and I like them mostly. Clare is not happy to be back in her hometown. Clare relationships are strained around her. Clare keeps trying to figure out what happened to the little girl. Her good friend found evidence of blood and her shoes. She is dating the sheriff but not ready to get serious. Clair has a lot of anger in life.
Clare is a banker but she wanted to go into police work and actually took two years in collage in thier program, but had to go back home because of her moms health problem.

For her first book was pretty good and I look forward to reading her next novel. I was
given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.

Description Netgalley
Thirty-one year old Clare Paxton opens the door to her childhood friend Derek and his discovery. Little 4-year-old Mary Martin had been missing and all that was left were her articles of clothing and a large pool of blood. Having interrupted her Criminology Degree for her mother's feigned illness, Clare's unending questioning her own life's choices is heightened by this tragedy. Clare embroils herself in the investigation because of her personal mistrust of Mary's parents while romantically conflicted with the Chief of Police.
