My Review:The Texan's Baby by Donna Alward

The Texan's Baby is a nice romance story. I believe it is a start of a new series with a bunch of writers each writing a book in the series.
Lizzie Baron is the oldest child of Brock Baron. She has sisters and a full brother, 2 adopted brothers and a half brother. Lizzie works in the family oil company with her father. She is a vice President. She is also pregnant from a one night stand. She does not need anything from the father but she also feels she needs to track him down.
Chris Miller has taken a leave of absent from his job for a year. He wants to give a year to the rodeo before he gets to old to do it. He wants a year of freedom. He figured he had enough to money put aside to cover his expenses. He is surprised when Elizbeth tracks him down to tell him he is going to be a father.
While Lizzie is telling him who she is and why she found him. Chris realizes he knows her brothers. She gets a phone call that her father is in the hospital.
While they try and decide about the baby, they don't want their families to know it was only a one night stand. Chris does not want to forget that he is about to be a father.
There are some plot lines that are not answered in this book, which I am sure will run into the other books of the series by different authors.
The setting for this book is Texas modern times.
I prefer to read series of books by same author than a bunch of writers with the same characters personally. The stories tend to be deeper.
I would like to see how the rest of Lizzie's family turns out and who they end up with.
This is not my favorite book by Donna Alward but is enjoyable fast read.
