You might want to rethink your morning routine.
A cup a day won’t kill you, but a few might.
Their first case as private investigators have Sean, Sara, and Jimmy neck-deep in coffee beans trying to find a killer. With their client certain that her mother was poisoned through her coffee of the month club, it has them setting out to Williamsburg, Virginia. But instead of approaching matters from the traditional standpoint, Sean and Sara brew a robust plot and stir Jimmy into the blend, all to get close to their top suspect and grind out the truth.
Going undercover at Tasty Beans, the coffee company, the three of them work to expose the culprit before anyone else dies.

Another good story in this fun series. The McKinleys are kind generous people that I would love to know and work with.

This was a very fast read. I did like the characters and the premise of the book…

Ms. Arnold is a talented writer and I was impressed that she was able to write a novella that didn’t feel too rushed…
All in all an interesting mystery with a clever, satisfying conclusion.

My review: Coffee is Murder (McKinley Mysteries Book 9) by Carolyn Arnold

4 STARS

This is book 9 of the McKinley Mysteries.  It is the first one that I have read.  I liked it enough to go and buy the first three books of the series.  This is a novella and only 155 pages.

This is the first case for the new PI firm.  Sean, Sara, and Jimmy are the investigators.  They are charging only expenses and the rest of the fee goes to three charities that the client chooses.

Sean and Sara are married.  Sean inherited billions when he was a cop unexpectedly.
Sara is addictive to coffee.

There new client thinks her mother was poisoned by her coffee.  She drinks lots of it and belongs to coffee club.

They decide to go work undercover at the coffee plant to see where the poisoned was added to the coffee beans.

I liked the characters and want to see more about them. That is why I went and bought more of the mysteries and am going to read them next.

I was given this ebook Coffee is Murder so that I could give a honest review and be part of it's blog tour.
