My review:  Wild West Brides by Lori Copeland

Three novels that were published earlier.  The first novel is called The Peacemaker and was published in 2004.

Wynne was left at the alter by Cass Claxton and he took almost all of her money.  Now she wants revenge and travels to his home after the Civil War ended.  She keeps trying to justify her actions and that killing Cass wii be right thing to do.

She is beautiful owner of plantation but the war destroyed her land and emptied her home.  On her way to find Cass her stage is robbed and she is now penny less. She has a temper.

Cole Claxton on the way home from the war comes onto the stage right as they were robbed and his brother Beau stepped into bring her to his home.

I like Cole he sounds tough but he keeps helping Wynne.  Wynne says one thing but acts without thinking.  She is brave, feisty and keeps getting into messes.

The Drifter
It is so far my favorite book.  I cried, laughed at times.  It really had me feeling a bunch of things in this book. It starts really sad.

The setting is Missouri 1867 at the start and most of the book takes place in Kansas frontier.
Beau loses his wife and baby. Just decides to leave.

Charity Burk was left a widow from the war.  They were homesteading on 160 acres.  She has one year left to make improvements on the land to receive the deed.  She needs help but there is no help to be found.

She finds Beau being attacked and drags him into her cabin and tries to save his life.  She thinks if she does maybe he would marry her and help her for a year and then go if he wants.
Charity is a strong character.  I like her.  She is kind, hard worker and good neighbor.

The Maverick

This book takes place right after the Drifter ends 1868 in Kansas frontier.
The main character is the youngest brother Cass Claxton and Susanne McCord.  When I first met or heard about them I did not like them but in this book I have come to admire and care for them.

Susanne is spoiled.  She is willing to do anything to get back to her Aunt and a city.  She lies and tells her father that Cass had dishonored her when she spent the night in his brother's home.  Cass has no choice but to marry her and leave her at her Aunt's and get the marriage cancelled.

Years later Susanne is raising nine children that were in a orphanage that her Aunt started.  They are getting kicked out of their home and she blackmails & tricks Cass into helping her get the kids back to her father's home.

The children are fun, loveable and I wanted more of them.

These three stories are clean Christian romances.  I cared about them. I would read more books by Lori Copeland in the future.

I was given this ebook Wild West Brides to read by Net Galley and  Barbour Publishing, Inc..  In return I agreed to give a honest review of Wild West Brides.
