This is quite a adventure. Lots of mystery, danger, treasure hunt, with characters you can't trust.
Charlie is twelve year old. He is smart, nerd, scared. He is raised by his mother.
Charlie is doing a report on Keegan's Point. Twelve years ago he was found in his mansion dead. With lots ID.s and lots of questions are left about him. His heirs are unknown.
He over hears three guys talking about sneaking onto the island and looking for something. Charlie is kidnapped and taken along.
Nick is the one who forced Charlie to come with them. He has promised that he will be returned Monday. He seems to be in charge of some things.
Zoe does not like Charlie. She threatens him a lot. She stays with the boat. Sometimes she talks with British accent.
Paulie is the explosive guy.
Monroe is quiet. He breaks into the house.
There is a lot of mystery about the mansion and Keegan who lived there for 56 years without leaving.
I would love to have secret rooms, and live on an island in a mansion.
This is a exciting book. It is a fast clean read.

Kill and Run can stand alone fine by its self. In the front of the book it tells a blurb about the characters you. meet.
There is a lot of murders, but not blood and gory. There is a bunch of animals and I could deal with them except Monique. No to her in my house.

Murphy is a Lieutenant in the Navy working with NCIS and he is in a Black Op group that is secret. His boss does not like him and sends him out on the death of 5 women who were murdered and one of them is in the Navy. He brings the whole case back.
Jessica is Murphy's wife of four months. They met four months ago. Her father is Mac Faraday a retired homicide cop who inherited millions. Jessica also at that time received 10 million dollars.
I guessed at a few of the twists in the book but not all of them. The mysteries all make sense and work. There is a lot of humor in the book too. There are characters that you like and some you are meant to be disgusted with. Others you want to hug and comfort them.
I would read more of this series in the future.

Seth Starke is a rodeo bull rider who chased off Tonya's stalker. He has always liked Tonya so after he is hurt after a ride he asks Tonya to come home to his ranch and let his brother the Sheriff help protect her.
Tonya after a bomb scare agrees to go with Seth but doesn't want his family in danger.
I did not want to put the book down. I loved the ending. I will look for more books by Lynette Eason in the future.

The Throne of David is a exciting blend of action, history, heroes that I did not want to put it down. The characters are such a vast range. I fell for David and Enrigue. Two different characters fighting for answers in there own way.
David Lord owns his own business of Forensic accounting. He is single. His good friend in England asked him to come help him. David goes right away.
His friend works as a private secretary to Prince George of England. It can't be traced back to him but it has to be done with someone he can trust. He gives his a list of women's name that left England in 1980 and had a baby in the US. He also needed to collect a DNA sample.
Enrique lived on the streets of New York by David's office. David got him in rehab. He turned to drink after a mission went wrong in Afghan. His wife left him. He has two daughters. He is asked for his help to find these women and find the one who had a baby. He owes David and has the skills to help.
The second task to find out about the Stone of Scone. If they had the right one. He did not know if the two tasks has anything to do with each other. David travels the British Isles to find out the answers about the Stone.
The history, the chase, action, is so well told about the different stones and different names of places it was spell binding.
The answers could throw a wrench in who would be the next King of England.
There starts the race. Some people are trying to stop David from succeeding. They are willing to kill for the cause.
I loved the ending chapters. The story came together so well. I am glad that I was given this book to read by Cedar Fort. In return I agreed to give a honest review of it and be part of The Throne of David.

This is a book I would have liked for my girls to have when they were younger. It is full of women in the scriptures. It has plenty of pictures. The story, the lesson and it gives the scripture reference.
It is aimed at LDS audience because it includes scriptures from Book Of Mormon and D & C. But anyone can enjoy and learn about the women in the scriptures.
They are about real women of faith and the lessons we can learn from their examples. Some of the Women are Eve, Ester, Mary and many more including Emma Smith.
This is targeted to young girls 6 to 12 years old but can be good for all ages and sexes. Some good roll models for girls to look up to and learn from.
This would be a good book to give to young girls in your lives.
I like the pictures I have seen on this PDF copy. They fit the stories. I can''t wait till I see the book in print though.

While this is book #11 in the Lakeshore Chronicles, it does a good job of standing alone. I did not feel that I missed anything.
I love the cover of this book it makes you want to go there out to Willow lake.
There is a lot of drama, lots of characters that draw you into there lives. You don't want to see them go. There is one love scene.
The story opens up with the three Bellamy's Mason, Adam and Ivy skiing in New Zealand at there parents favorite ski place to spread there father Trevor Bellamy's ashes as he wanted them too. It is also the place that he died and their mother became disabled after the avalanche trapped them a year ago.
Allice Bellamy is always angry at being trapped in a wheel chair not being able to do anything. She has a hard time keeping a nurse.
She lives in a big house in Avalon, New York on Willow lake. Adam lives on the property too, but he is getting arson training so Mason agrees to stay there awhile.
Faith McCallum is a widow raising two daughters. She is a nurse with a lot of debt and worries.
Cara is in high school and is very smart and hard working.
Ruby is in second grade, has diabete type 1. She has a lot of fears.
When the McCallum family becomes connected to the Bellamy they both blossom and help each other. It is nice to see the changes.
I did not want to put the book down. I would read more books about the Bellamys.

I liked it! Has characters that I like and wanted to find out more about. I was sorry to see it end but I liked the ending. Lots of charm, drama & family conflict. Had a couple of love scenes that I skipped over.
Annie is one of the main characters. She takes photos, was laid off from teaching art. Her nick name is bump.
Annie, her Aunt Addie and her mother fly into Atlanta for her younger sister Charlotte engagement party and shower. They are small town coming to the big city. They are not high society but I like them a whole lot better.
Charlotte and Henry wedding has a lot of things go wrong for them. I do like Henry.
Annie had a school girl crush on Nicholas Conrad. Nick introduced Henry to Charlotte. He has not been back to Truhart for sometime.
I love the golf game. The guys are trying to teach Annie about golf because she is just a woman.
The secondary characters make this book so funny, warm hearted and just want to come back and see them again.
Annie's family runs the small inn in Truhart, Michigan. They are struggling and it looks like it.
I will read the next book in this series.

My review: Keeper's Reach by Carla Neggers (Sharpe & Donovan #5)

It is better to have read the other books in the Sharpe & Donovan. Lot of characters we see back in this book. Plus some new ones.
The suspense and mystery were good. Was not sure what was really going on till the reveal. There were a lot of different things going on at times confusing but it all came together at the end.
Emma Sharpe and Colin Donovan are both FBI Agents. They are now engaged and planning the wedding. They are both from small towns on the Maine coast.
Mike Donovan has a bunch of people from his past show up at his parents inn. They are now in private contractors and want him to come work for him. He wonders what they really want. Mike is living in a cabin and takes people out in wilderness.
Naomi MacBride is a freelance civilian intelligence analyst. She has a past with Mike. Now she is being followed in England. She shows up at Mike's parents inn in Maine.
The setting for this book is Maine and England.
I like this series. Look forward to reading more of it.

My review: Chasing Justice by H. Terrell Griffin (A Matt Royal Mystery)

I like Matt Royal. Chasing Justice has Matt going back to defend his good friend Police chief Bill Lester's wife Abby Lester from a murder charge. It reminds me of the Longboat Blues. Where is more a legal mystery case.
I loved the trial part of the book. I wanted to be there and watch him work and cheer him on. Wanted to boo the prosecutor too.
The suspense was good. Did not know who to trust till revealed. Matt tried to prove Abby innocent and try and figure out who the real murder was. Was Abby and Bill cheating on each other like some people believe.
J.D. also had a murder case working as a police detective. J.D. is a strong female character and has a good sense of humor. She hear
Some of the police and lawyers I found sad. There was also ones that I admired. Like any organization some good and others bad.
As other Matt Royal books there is lots of drinking and lots of bars that everyone goes to. There is a lot of murder and attempted murder.
There are some good twists to the plot most came as a surprise and some you could guess were coming. I read it in one setting because I did not want to stop reading till I was down.
I will continue to look for more H. Terrell Griffin novels in the future.

I was drawn right into the story. I missed reading the first book but plan to read it. This has drama, action, characters that I cared about. Some of the war scenes were terrible. But believable.
The drama follows three members of the Williams family and the Vice President of the United States.
Robert Williams has joined the army and war has broken out in Europe. Russia has attacked
Germany. I really liked Robert and want him to survive the war. He thinks a lot of the girl he left behind.
John Williams takes his younger children and his wife Becky and go to be in charge of Camp Valiant.
They are gathering the saints in around a farm. Trying to get community buildings up first. The people are living in tents.
Sarah Williams does not believe she needs to flee with her family. She is 18 and is planning to move into a apartment with a friend, She is also going to work with that friend Brook. She is out in the world. With more fights, work place shooting, more drinking, food shortages.
Calvin McCord is Vice President of the United States. He is in the opposite political party than the President. President Boggs is shutting him out of meetings. His secret service agents our really baby sitters trying to controlling him. He tries to help.
The book bounces back in between these characters story and I can't wait to get back to the one I just left. There is so much drama. You don't want to put the book down.
The book makes you think what would you do? Would I be willing to go pickup and move? Christians all over are being hassled. Mormons are thought to be trouble. A radio jockey is stirring up the people and blaming each other for it.
I hope another book comes out soon. I want to read more from Randy Lindsay.

Jill Gardner is back in her 5th Tourist Trap Mystery. I kept in suspense for most of the book. I like this series. There are so many familiar characters that make this more than just a mystery story. I want to see what they are up too next. I like the characters. It is a involving story.
Jill is the owner of Coffee, Books and more. She is planning on going away for a week on a cruise with her boyfriend Greg king the local detective. First though is the fundraiser 5K walk for Mission funds she is sponsoring.
Jill is always wanting to read a book calling it research. I can get behind that kind of work.
Setting for Killer Run is South Cove, California. A small coastal town.
Right after their last planning meeting comes in and announces they are supposed to be helping promote it and help plan it. They are both good looking and snobbish. Because they failed to do their part there is trouble with the run.
There is also vandalism of one the business in town. The owner tired of it asks Jill to help find them and stop them because her boyfriend is not doing it. Jill agrees to help look into it because she knows Greg will be busy solving the murder.
I have read all 5 book of the series and have enjoyed them and will keep looking for more books by Lynn Cahoon.

This book goes into what the Young Women Theme really means and how it came about and why. Each chapter gives examples, scriptures, stories and additional resources to look at. In the back of the book are questions with room to write goals, what you want to know, what questions do you want to find answers to. (If you get the ebook than write the questions down in journal or notebook just for that.) I did not take the time to answer the questions but would love to go back and read again slower and ponder.
First few chapters really meant a lot to me. Just really needed to read that last night. Telling us that we are daughters of our Heavenly Father. He loves each of us and knows us. That he sent Jesus down so we can be saved. That he paid the price for our sins. If I was the only one on this planet he would still send down our Savior for me and for you. Because he over came death we can return one day to our Father in Heaven.
These values are to help us all to come closer to our Savior, to return someday to our Heavenly Father. To be better daughters and someday mothers. Too realize how special everyone is and loved.
One quote I wrote down for me is Don't be just a Sunday Saint be a Weekday Warrior!
Meaning live your religion all week and not just on Sundays.
This book is written for LDS Young Women but the values and principles can be for anyone. The Young Women stand up every Sunday and quote this together. I put the theme down on the bottom of blog if anyone wants to copy it feel free to.
I am glad that I got to read this uplifting book. I know it meant a lot to me and touched me deeply.
