Synopsis
Sunny’s
life is finally on track. Her fortune-telling business in the quaint
town of Divinity, New York is running smoothly, her parents have finally
stopped interfering, and her boyfriend Detective Mitch Stone has moved
in with her. But then her life derails, leaving the palm of her hand
empty and her dreams just out of reach. With Sunny’s mischievous cat
Morty under foot and quirky Granny Gert flitting around, cohabitation
with Mitch becomes nearly impossible. Then Sunny’s parents show up for
her best friend’s wedding, causing all sorts of trouble. Sunny’s future
is put on hold when the innkeeper’s lifeline is literally cut short at
the reception, and Sunnys’ mother is named the prime suspect. Sunny must
use her clairvoyant abilities to clear her mother’s name and take her
life back in her own hands before the real killer gives a whole new
meaning to ‘till death do us part…

My review: Perish in the Palm by Kari Lee Townsend
4 stars
This is the fourth book in the series Sunny Meadows Mystery but the first book that I have read in the series. While it does stand alone, I know I missed a lot of the characters relationships in the past. I would have liked to read the other books first in the series.
I had no clue who the murder was and why. Plenty of suspects.
The one character I would of really liked to know more about there history is Morty the cat. He really has a bad reputation. I can tell he must have done a lot to some of the characters.
Sunny is the main character. She reads palms, is physic, helps the police. Her parents don't believe in her. Neither does her boyfriend Detective Mitch Stone. She does have some good friends who do.
Sunny gives a reading for entertainment and the next day he is murdered at her bestfriend's wedding. Sunny's mother is the prime suspect.
I cared about Sunny. I wanted to see her and Detective Grumpy Pants work things out. I really liked the ending. I would read more about Sunny.
The setting was Divinity, New York.
This has plenty of drama, characters, murder, visions and a good dose of humor. It is also a clean read.
I was given this ebook to read and in return I agreed to give a honest review and be part of Perish in the Palm blog tour.
