The Colton's of Oklahoma is a series that is written by different authors each month.
Protecting the Colton Bride is a good suspense romantic story.  Lots of mystery, full of action, danger and romance.  Few love scenes that I skipped over.

 This story is about Daniel Colton. Daniel is half- brother to the other Colton siblings.  His father had an affair with the housekeeper.  Daniel was raised by his mother for the first 10 years before she died.
He is starting a horse breeding program on the ranch.

Megan Talbot has worked as Daniel's assistance for the last 4 months.  She loves working with horses.  Her family wants her to come back home to California or they will sell her horses to the glue factory.  They want her to be married and stay away from horses.

Daniel is drawn to Megan but he does not want to act upon it.  When Megan quits and tells him why he comes up with idea that they marry for a short time.  It would make it for Megan to receive money from her trust so she can by her horses. Stop her parents from marrying her off.  It will also help Daniel be able to get breeding stock he needs.

Someone is trying to kill Megan.  Daniel is able to save her but she keeps getting in situations where she needs to be saved.  Daniel is going to protect her from everyone.

This is a exciting story that keeps you interested in the drama, mystery.  I want to keep reading this series.

The setting for this book is horse ranching in Oklahoma, California, Nevada.
