My review:  The Purrfect Lie (Klepto Cat Mystery Book 12) by Patricia Fry

4 STARS

This is book 12 in the Klepto Cat Mystery.  It does a good job of standing alone.  This was a good clean fun mystery.  The characters are well developed and a lot of them are animals. I enjoy seeing them.

The couple of mysteries where easy to solve before the reveal I knew where each story line was going but the journey was good to get there.

Savannah's baby Lily is almost one year old.  She realizes Lily has no playmates her age.  So Savannah is going to find her some.

Someone is going to the cat shelter that Max and Margaret own and is letting the doors open so some of the animals keep getting out.  While searching for the cats Michael finds that Max has a basement that he did not know he had.

In there they find a letter admitting to a kidnapping.  No dates or names are on the letter though.  Of course it was Rags the kleptomaniac cat is the one who finds the letter.

The vandal at the cat shelter is not a high priority for the police.  Also the kidnapping is not much to go on.

Savannah and Margaret are determined to solve the two mysteries.  Rags helps find clues too.

The setting is a small town in Northern California.

I am not a cat person but enjoy this series of mysteries.

I was given this ebook to read by the author.  I agreed in return to give a honest review of The Purrfect Lie.

4 STARS

I would love to have the garden in my yard.  The setting was described beautifully.  It is Australia in a mansion with a garden that is out of control.

The characters were interesting and well balanced with good points and faults or trials that they had to get through.  I really liked Delcan and Shelley.

Delcan is a billionaire who is hold up in his home and wants no one around.  He is unhappy and grumpy.  He is a widower and has a sad story.

Shelley is a hard worker.  She wants to tame Delcan's garden.  She is unlucky in her past boyfriends.

I would read more books by Kandy Shepherd based on Hired by the Brooding Billionaire.

It was entertaining romance that was a good story to get into.

I was given this ebook to read by Harlequin and Net Galley.  In return I agreed to give a honest review to Hired by the Brooding Billionaire.

My review:  Switchback by Catherine Anderson

This is a reprint which I did not know till the end, but I should of got details about typewriter ribbon or payphones.  I remember those so it worked for me.  Lots of drama, action, some love scenes.  I wanted more to the ending.

The story starts right into the drama and does not let go till the end.  Some of it I could tell where the story was going.  Other twists I liked.

Bud Mac Phearson is asked to protect Mallory and Emily,  but he gets the message too late.  He is going to protect Mallory and find Emily.  Bud is a private investigator.

Mallory Christiani is a rich widow.  She is a nurse.  At time she is a little wimpy and others so strong and smart.  She is holding it together so she can get her daughter back.  I was really glad we got to see more of what she is like when her daughter is not at risk.

The setting for this book is Washington state. Probably around 1990s.

I would read more books by Catherine Anderson in the future after reading Switchback.

I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley and Harlequin.  In return I agreed to give a honest review of Switchback.

My review:  The Temptation of Dr. Colt  by Karen Whiddon (Coltons of Oklahoma)

3 stars

Good romantic suspense. A couple of love scenes. Lots of action, danger& drama. I like the Coltons of Oklahoma.  They are a big ranching family.

Dr. Eric Colton has left the ranch.  He is a trauma surgeon.  He is walking back home after work and he sees a woman hit by a car and take off.  Eric is always at  work .  He takes a personal interest in the woman he saw hurt.

MW can't remember anything.  Surprising she was not hurt except for bruises.  The hospital after keeping her over nigh had to release her.  Eric decides he can't just let her be homeless so brings her home.  He names her MW for mystery woman.  She finds that she likes to cook when she is stressed.

While out shopping with Eric's sister to get some clothes a van pulls up and tries to force her into the vehicle. It could be random but it worries them.

Every time it starts to settle down something else happens.  Makes you want to know what will happen next,

I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley and Harlequin.  In return I agreed to give a honest review of The Temptation of Dr. Colt.

My review: Frontier Engagement by Regina Scott (Frontier Bachelors)

4 STARS

This is the third Frontier Bachelors but only first one that I have read.  I would like to read the first two books of the series but you do not need to.  This is a western , romance story.  It is also a clean read.

Alexandrina Fosgrave does not trust anyone now.  All she has is fancy clothes and her education.  She has decided to teach school.  She has traveled to Seattle,  Washington to be hired in a frontier school.  She does not plan to marry. Alexandrina has a unique past.

James Wallin has come to hire a school teacher for their town.  He convinces Alexandrina to give them a chance.  He does not tell her that there is only 3 students right now. James is always trying to make people laugh.  He also likes fancy stuff.

I like the Wallin family.  I would love to see more of them.

This is a good story and a fast read.  It is also a positive story.

My review:   Forgotten Memories by Laura Scott (SWAT: Top Cops #4)

4 STARS

By the title alone I knew where the story was going, but there was some twists that I did not expect.  The characters were likeable and human.  You wanted them to work together.

Shane Hawkins was a character that quietly lives his faith.  He believes in prayer, during his job and remembers to always pray over his food.  I respected that and the other characters.  Shane is a member of a SWAT team.

Gabriella Fielding is the youngest trauma Dr. She puts everything into her job.
After working 24 hrs straight she is tired and as she is leaving the hospital she is kidnapped by three men and forced into a truck.  She has no idea why someone would kidnap her.

Shane is going to the hospital to pick up some evidence when he sees Gabby leaving.  He decides to go and thank her again for saving his life months ago.  He is wearing all black SWAT clothes and sees the men take her and follows.

This is full of drama, action and mystery.  It does a good job of keeping my interest in the story and not wanting to put it down till through.

I was given this Forgotten Memories by Harlequin and Net Galley to read so that I can give a honest review of it in return.
