My review: Newborn on Her Doorstep by Ellie Darkins
3 STARS
This is a sweet book. Plenty of drama, cute baby and loveable characters.
Lily Baker wants a family. She does not expect to open her door and find a newborn on her steps. Her house is being remodeled. She works from home.
Nic Johnson is out running and he is going to pick up his keys from his sister Kate's friend. He works trying to make life better for children. He never plans to get married and have a family. He also can not turn his back on a child in need. He finds Lily with her arms holding a newborn and is in shock and steps into help.
Nic does not want to look at the baby but he can't leave Lily alone either.
The setting is London and Italy.
I felt bad for Nic and could understand a little about how hard he felt looking at the baby. Also admire how he is fighting to help children in different places around the world,
I would read another book written by Ellie Darkins after reading Newborn on her Doorstep.
I was given this ebook from Net Galley and Harlequin to read and in return I agreed to give honest review.
