I am impatient and hate to wait for next book. So I waited to read till I could read all six books around same time. Goodbye to Yesterday is the first book in the six-part serial series. This was good and am going to start reading book 2 right away. It is also a good clean read.

It starts off right getting you involved with the characters and the plot. Meredith and Luke Stoltzfus are newly weds. Her husband has been without a work for six months. Luke had a good job working for a furniture store. Right now people are not buying furniture. No one is hiring. Luke has been depressed.

Luke has the chance to buyout his Uncle's business. He would teach him the trade and Luke only has to pay part now and the rest after he starts making money. He has to leave his wife for a month or so.

It leaves you with a cliff hanger so you want to know what happens next to Luke and Meredith.

Save the Lemmings by Kai Strand

Save the Lemmings is a fun about a girl who invents a texty-talky. They take off big time. She is overwhelmed with all the attention from news reporters. Natalie then has false news stories made up about her.

Natalie besides inventing sees a story about saving the Lemmings and tries to get the word out about the Lemmings. No one wants to really save them they all just want to talk about her invention.

The story is fast paced. Kids can be nice and they can be cruel to each other. Natalie always tries to be nice. She does change a bit, but who does not change at that age. Natalie has to decide what to keep and what is not working for her.

The Save the Lemmings is not a real charity it just made up for the book.

The Wishing Well: Another Weaver Tale by Kai Strand

I had won this book from Kathy at I Am A Reader, Not A Writer blog last October 2012. I just finished reading it. I had not read any of Kai Strand books before. This was good and different twist on a Cinderella type story. It is aimed at readers 8-12 years old.

It has lots of poems or tales in the story itself. It is a enjoyable story and has a lot of good lessons in it. I was most impressed with Molly's good friend Riddle.

Molly is the youngest of three girls. She is treated like a Cinderella by her own mother and sisters. She is given so much work to do every day. She cooks, cleans, does laundry and has to put up with verbal abuse daily.

Her friend Riddle comes over after her family leaves and helps Molly to her work so they can go off and play together with all the other children. Riddle does not have to help Molly.

Molly is only 11 years old and has been treated different by her mom all her life. I wanted to scream at her mom for the way she treats Molly.

Empty Net(Assassins book 3) by Toni Aleo

I really liked Empty Net book 3 of Assassins except for the love scenes and some language. It was fun to see all the characters from the first two books back again. Makes me want to go to a hockey game for the first time. This book brought out arrange of emotions from me. Like wanting to yell leave him to Audrey, cry with Tate. laugh with them. I admit to tears of joy, compassion at different points.

Audrey still loves her boyfriend Levi who is still a creep. One of the times he breaks up with her is at her sisters party. She drinks too much and ends up in bed with a good looking guy. When she wakes up in the hotel room she hurries and dresses telling him it was a mistake.

Tate tells her it doesn't have to be a one night stand. Audrey tells him it does. Neither one can remember the others name if they knew it. Audrey feels like she did it with teenager.

Tate is still mooning over his runaway girl. Lucas tries to get him to come to his wedding dinner the night before the wedding.

Audrey finds out her new neighbor that she has yet to meet at the wedding is Tate. She is glad to find out he is 21 but still turns him down.

Tate knows what he wants and is willing to be just Audrey's friend tills she realizes he is a good guy. He is talented, nice and wants a relationship with her.

I liked the plot, like the characters can understand why Audrey is so unhappy about some things and picks looser for boyfriend.

I hope their is a Assassins book 4 in the future.

Talon: Combat Tracking Team (A Breed Apart #2)

Suspense, action, drama is high in this book. It is also a clean read. A Christian romance, mystery book with spies, military story.
The characters are good but you don't always know who a character really is till the book is through. Some of the suspense mystery I was able to figure out but most did not even guess.

The plot seems simple but their is always more going on than seams. It jumps time frame with lots of flashbacks into Russia. I admit I was lost at times till we got more information. You want to keep reading to figure out the answers.

Cardinal is a man with a mission. He does not want to work with a woman or use her. He is forced to work or play Aspen. Cardinal is a spy but he has so many secrets. I really like Cardinal and want to know all his secrets.

Aspen twin brother was missing on a mission. His body was never recovered but instead of calling him MIA they declared him dead.
Aspen thinks their is something wrong with that. She was working in the JAG during her military service. She boxes with guys. She has been training her brother's dog Talon.

Talon was in the military but when Austin went missing, during the fight he got PSD and now is afraid of loud noises. Did not realize that dogs suffered from that too. Talon is the hope of Cardinal and Aspen to find where Austin is alive or not. If he is alive why did he disappear.

I like Ronie Kendig books, they are full of action. I look forward to reading more of her books.

Missing Barbados is a violent, slapstick, action P.I. story. Susan "Ice" Berg starts the story with throwing men off her building.
It was also caught on video so when she was asked to take a case in Barbados she was glad to get out of town. One of the P.I.s Dutch
she has working with is in jail on the island.

Dutch had freed some prostitutes who did not want to be their by taking out two walls in a cat house. It was full of judges on convention and the owner of the cat house was the police chief. After Dutch is bailed out he agrees to help on this case with his friend Crane.

Dutch and Ice remind me of the shoot first ask questions type of characters. A little like A Team, Dirty Harry, and Stephanie Plum where everything gets destroyed around them.

Ice's case is to find Lady Melody who is 17 has been kidnapped. Her father is getting ready to display some family treasures. They have a little bit of a hard time finding clues. At the same time Dutch agrees to take on a case to find a historic gold sword.

The story line is good, the characters were a little hard for me to connect to and I don't know why. Their is plenty of action in the story, with gun fights, helicopter, boats, houses being blown up, drug dealers and you are not sure till the end who the good guys and bad guys are.
