My Review:Hidden Falls: The Groundskeeper Remembered - Episode 12 by Olivia Newport

4 STARS

Some answers, more drama, more cliffhangers and more frustration when it ended and I was not ready for it to end so soon. If your a fan of Hidden Falls then you will want to get this episode. If your new to the series start at episode one.

By the title of this episode I was expecting something different that did not happen. When I was trying to guess where this episode would take me.

I want next week episode to come faster. I think I will want to read all the episodes in a row again to get the whole picture in my head. That's my memory problems.

We still have no real clue what or where Quinn is now or where he has been gone too.

There is finally arrest on the missing money.

Still don't know what will happen to Ethan's career. Or even if Nicole still has a job to go back too.

Still a clean story that is full of interesting characters and full of drama. With only one more episode left to this season. I will be sure to get that last episode as soon as I can.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agreed to give honest review of it.

SWAT: Top Cops—Love in the line of duty

My Review:Wrongly Accused by Laura Scott

3 1/2 STARS

I like the characters Caleb, Noelle and Kaitlin. Lots of action, drama, prayer and fast paced.
Parts I did not like was a few chapters close to the ending. I felt they were rushed and really left part of the story out. Like it was cut out or something. I needed to know more about the first murder and the revenge. I don't really want to say more in detail because I would be giving too much of the story away.

The plot was Caleb O'Malley was framed for his wife's murder. He got out of jail because the witness disappeared. When Caleb is going to pick his daughter up from her foster mother Noelle someone tried to kill him. He made Noelle, leave with him and his daughter and they took her car.

Who is trying to kill Caleb and why now? Who really killed his wife? Noelle does not trust Caleb but she loves Kaitlin. Kaitlin is scared of her father she has not seen for over a year.

Noelle was Kaitlin's preschool teacher and applied to get her as her foster daughter. She has taught her how to pray and taken her to church.

Caleb was a member of a SWAT team. He can not believe he was framed. He feels it must be a member of his team that framed him for his wife's murder. He goes on the run instead of calling the police to protect them. No one believed him even his best friend and fellow S.W.A.T. members.

I like how Caleb was so tender and loving with his daughter. He realized he had made mistakes with his marriage. How even though he never went to church he is grateful that Noelle took his daughter and taught her about faith.

This is a clean read. Talks about prayer and is not afraid to mention it more than once in the story.
I want to read the rest of the series and see how the different members of the S.W.A.T. team cope with the changes.

Defending the Eyewitness by Rachel Lee

Description

Return to New York Times bestselling author Rachel Lee's Conard County, where a killer lies in wait

The note wasn't a threat, exactly. But for Corey Donahue, who'd witnessed her mother's murder as a child, it felt very menacing. Surprisingly, the one person she trusted to show the note to was a man merely renting a room from her—Austin Mendez. Traumatized since childhood, Corey had never trusted men…until Austin moved in.

Six years undercover had caused Austin to shut everyone out…until Corey. The vulnerability she hid from others made him yearn to break down the walls she'd erected around her heart. And with a killer closing in, two lost souls were discovering the trust they'd lost—and much more—in each other's arms

My Review: Defending the Eyewitness

3 STARS

I liked parts of the story but never got lost in it. The relationship felt rushed to me and went straight to physical when Corey spent all of her life avoiding men. She had reasons for her fears. She saw her mom murdered right in front of her. Then she lost her memories at 7.

Corey rents the upstairs of her house to usually to college students. Now the Sheriff brings over a man and asks her to rent it to him that he is the friend of a friend. Corey agrees to rent the upstairs to Austin and he gets kitchen uses.

To me Corey is afraid to leave her town, really only deals with women in her business. She does not seem real to me. If she is that scared then why agree to let him into her house just because the Sheriff asks. Then after a few dinners and a fight she asks him to make love with her.

Austin character seems real. He has been undercover for six years and needs to have a change to figure out what to do next. He shows how hard to join again. Also he figures like a cop that there is something wrong with the notes Corey is getting.

The Killer does not make sense but then killers don't to me. I wanted to know more about him and his motive.

There was a lot of sex scenes that I skipped over. The threat of danger was real, a little action.
I really enjoyed the dinners that Austin and Corey made. How Corey was trying to be around Austin in the kitchen. Those scenes really worked for me. I wish there were more of them.

There have been so many stories by Rachel in Conrad County but this story really only 5 different characters really only three. I would have liked more.

Will God stir up love along a trail filled with their Plots and Pans?

My Review: Plots and Pans

4 STARS

I like the cover it fits with Jessalyn personality. I like the characters, the plot, not to preachy just how prayer helps in lots of ways. Like the secondary characters too. Clean read.

I was expecting more of the story to be on the cattle drive part of the story. Wanted a little more to their courtship besides fighting. Maybe more long walks and discussions ect.

Love how Jessalyn accepted her Aunt and welcomed her into the family. She just wanted to be loved and accepted. Did not matter the color of her skin.

Jessalyn has been away from home for seven years. She has been sent over to England to become a lady. She just wants to be free and be back home in Texas. She did not like her answers to prayers so stopped praying. She is feisty, brave and sometimes jumps into things before she realizes the dangers.

Tucker is the ranch foreman. He does not want to see Jess hurt and takes his responsibility too heart to protect her. He is a hard worker. Is afraid of Jess getting hurt and causing lots of trouble.

It touches a little on troubles of slavery and acceptance of blacks after the civil war. A little about what woman were expected to be and do for their safety. About ranch life and being on a cattle drives and the problems.

The setting for most of the book is Bar None Ranch 1872- 79.

Full of laughter, drama and action

I would read more from Kelly Eileen Hake in the future.

My Review: Sweet Callahan Homecoming

3 stars

This is one series that I get lost in. I have missed to many or forgotten some of the bigger plot lines. If you have been following this series you will like this one. Not to be missed.

I thought Xay had been running harder from Ashlyn. Now it is Xavier running after Ashlyn and when he finds her he is the one that gets a big surprise 4 babies.

I like that 6 brothers and Ashlyn are willing to protect their family and community. They are willing to fight for what they believe in. They have all sacrificed for the good.

There are some surprises in this book that I expected and some that I did not see coming. Some good and some bad ones.

Most of the characters I understand them and like or hate them. A couple of them don't seem like real people to me, but that good just be me.

The setting is Texas on two big ranches that are close to the borders. Smugglers want the ranches cleared off. Wolf sold his brothers and wives out because he wants to own the ranch and silver.

The story has drama, action, romance, danger , cute babies and a touch of Magic in a wedding dress and Indian faith. A few sex scenes that I skipped over.

My Review:200 Harley Street: Surgeon in a Tux by Carol Marinelli

3 STARS

A short novel that takes place in a medical clinic. Lizzie Birch has been hired to run the clinic. She has not really been interviewed for the position. It comes with lots of benefits. Lots of sex scenes that I skipped over. The medical patients are interesting part of the story. Lots of drama, starting with Lizzie's first day of work.

Lizzie is nurse. Both of her parents are in a care center. Most days her mom does not know who she is. Her father does not want to leave the care center even for a short walk. Lizzie is paying for their care. I like Lizzie.

Leo Hunter is a famous plastic surgeon who runs the clinic. He is also a playboy. He does not want to ever get married. He plans to always stop a relationship before the fights begin. He cares for and pampers his patients. He is good looking and full of pride.

Ethan Hunter I want to know more about him. Lizzie was his nurse after he came home from the war and helped him a lot. He got her the job with Leo.

A good short story if you want to escape into a book.

I was given this ebook to read for purpose of giving it an honest review by Netgalley and Harlequin.
