Synopsis
The septuagenarian women of the Summer Ridge Bridge Club have gathered in secret late one July night to check skinny dipping off their bucket list. But as Francine observes, the jittery members seem more obsessed with body issues and elaborate preparations than actually stripping down and getting in the pool. A pungent smell emanating from the pool shed provides a perfect distraction. When a dead body flops out, it’s an answered prayer for Charlotte, since the first item on her list is to solve a murder.
Unfortunately for Charlotte and Francine, before they can discover who really killed the man, they must negotiate neighborhood tours of the crime scene, press coverage of their skinny dipping, an angry Homeowner’s Association, a disastrous appearance on Good Morning America, media offers sought by a hungry publicist, and a clever killer.

My review: Murder on the Bucket List by Elizabeth Perona
4 STARS
I liked the characters. I can see a group of friends doing the crazy stuff together. Makes me want to put together a list with my friends. They help each other accomplish their goals.
Summer Ridge Bridge Club is a group of 60+ year old women who play bridge together. They also have made a bucket list of sixty items when they turned 60. They help each other cross things off there list.
They had gathered to skinny dip in Alice's pool at midnight with just candles lit. No one wanted to get disrobed and in. They decided to check the pool shed when they smelled something bad. When they opened it a dead body fell out.
Friderich was the deceased. He is a mechanic in the world of Midget racing.
Some wanted to lie about what they were at Alice's to do. Others wanted it known because being on the front page of the newspaper was on their list. Charlotte has wanted to solve a murder on her list so this was her chance to do it.
The ladies got opportunities to cross off things on their list as they tried to figure out who the murder was and clear Alice's husband Larry of the crime.
Larry has lots of secrets that he is keeping even from his wife. He is a prime suspect. He rented space out to Friderich Guttmann.
The setting of the book is Brownsburg, Indiana. Most of it was set around the racing world of Midget cars.
At times it was funny and other times it missed the mark. Lots of drama, fun good times. I like the characters and would love to see them back for another story. This is a good mystery that works and pulls it all together. It is also a clean read.
I was given Murder on the Bucket List to read and in return agreed to give a honest review of it and be part of Murder n the Bucket List blog tour.
