Discovering Sophie by Cindy Roland Anderson

Discovering Sophie

Sophie Kendrick’s father has gone missing in the jungles of Costa Rica. Desperate for answers to his whereabouts, she decides to search for him herself. She hires Jack Mathison to guide her through the jungle, but the two of them seem to be at odds from the moment they meet. Sophie finds Jack conceited, sarcastic, and worse, very good-looking. He is totally not her type, so how could she possibly be attracted to him? Likewise, Jack can’t wait to be rid of Sophie and her optimistic outlook. Seriously, how could someone be that nice? Jack isn’t looking for a relationship, and finds the electrifying chemistry between the two of them completely annoying. His job is to lead Sophie to a remote village deep inside the rainforest- her fathers last known location. Still, the jungle is a dangerous place and Jack does everything in his power to protect Sophie, but who will protect his heart?

My review: Discovering Sophie by Cindy Roland Anderson

5 stars

I was given this ebook to read and review but I had already bought it and had not had a chance to read it yet. So many books to read.
I enjoyed Sophie, She is smart, loves to help kids, She runs to Costa Rica to try and find her missing father in the jungle. She tries to be good but she is not perfect.

Jack Mathison is hired to take Dr. Kendrick into the jungle to help him find his father. Never expecting Dr. Kendrick to be a beautiful woman. He does not want to take women anymore into the jungle. Jack used to love God and he even went on a missionary trip the first time to Costa Rica Jungle. He came home from that trip and his life plans were changed.

Sophie knows she needs to look for her father and not just hire Jack to look for him. With prayer she convinces Jack to take her.

There is a lot of fun banter between the characters on there trip into the jungle. It is full of drama, action, sorrow, joy, jealousy and dangerous trip too. Makes the jungle alive and I want to go see it all.

Most of the setting of the book is in Costa Rica jungle and Colorado.

There are a few love triangles in this story. Sophie and her boyfriend Peter. Peter wants to marry Sophie. He is a lawyer and wants to hire someone to find her father. Sophie is more in love with his family. Peter is a good man.

I did not want to put the book down. I really enjoyed the story. It is a clean read.
