I liked Baby Out of the Blue. It had some sad spots but so much joy too. It tugged at my emotions. Would love to explore around Greece too.
Fran Myers has come to spend her vacation in Greece to visit and explore it with her best friend Kellie. When she gets to Greece she realizes how unhappy her friend is.
Fran & Kellie are 12 miles from the resort they are going to spend the night at but Fran gets Kellie to stop when the weather gets worse.
a tornado hit thier hotel and they are glad that they had stopped at a different one.
Next morning Fran goes to get a table for breakfast at back of hotel and she hears a baby. The baby is covered with cuts sitting on bushes all alone in a torn t-shirt.
They rush the baby to the emergency room.
Fran stays with the baby in ICU so the baby is not alone till they find who she belongs too. Fran sings and touches her hand and wills her to be okay.
CEO Nik Angelis was in a different tornado and made it safe and then finds his sister and brother-in-law that were on vacation was in a different hotel. They can't be reached.
Nik and his brothers fly to the hotel and find that his sister & brother-in-law were dead and thier baby is missing. They join the search to find his niece. They don't know how there parents will survive if they can't find their only grandaughter and bury her with her parents at least.
Kellie's husband is the owner of the resort and he joins his wife at the hospital and is telling them about the poor couple who were killed and thier baby can't be found and was his good friends sister.
Leandros goes to see the baby at Fran & kellie request and he thinks it could be the right coloring and age of the missing baby but 12 miles is along way for the baby to have traveled in storm.
Nik gets the call from Leandros about the baby in the hospital could be thier miracle baby. They rush straight their.
Fran and Kellie both are having issues with having children. Fran has known for years she could not have one. It ended her marriage when her husband decided that after all he did not want to adopt he wanted his own.
Kellie and Leandros are having problems and can't concieve together and thier marriage is on the rocks.
It is a tough issue with so many couples wanting children and can't have them. So many others are throwing them away because they dont want them.
I can't wait to read Kellie story that will be coming soon and see how they are fairing. I like the characters in the story. Love the scenery and the bits of history of some of different places they visit or ones they can't visit.

My Cowboy Valentne is two shorter stories set around Valentines Day.Be Mine, Cowboy and
Hill Country Cupid. Both also have cowboys,kids & romance.
Rachel is a single mom and things are tight. Her son is 4 and has special needs. He is cute. Rachel is trying her best to give her son what he needs. She has lost her home and then things get worse.
Cade is a rodeo champion and a acholic. 5 years ago Rachel wanted him to get help with his drinking. If he did not then they were done. Cade chose boose over Rachel. Now Cade is sober and he is back. Will he remain sober and can they work things out.
I know that boose can really mess up peoples lives. It is hard to believe in acholics word. But they can change with hard work. I like both Rachel and Cade's characters in the book. They both have faults and good traits. They are likeable.
I enjoyed reading Jane's story and will look forward to reading more from her in the future.

Nick was shy. He had a stuttering problem as a young kid. He is a good caring father.
When Tess shocks him by telling him that she would help him to get the other women.

I like Nick he does not give up on when things are important to him. It was too short I wanted more.

A Spies and Thieves story
I liked it but had a hard time getting into the story but that was not the story's problem but either my new kindle fire or the digital copy. Kept having to back out of it and try again.
I liked Ally's characters. Would love to read more of her work. This novella was good. It had both of her series characters that are in one book.
Gallagher Girls is a boarding school for genius girls but they are training to be spies. The story is fun and left me wanting more of them. I would read the series even if I am older than 12 by decades.
High Society thieves books. W.W. Hale V is a very rich in family of old money. He is a teen and likes to rob high end. His friend Kat left the family business and conned her way into a boarding school. She wants a normal life but Hale got her kicked out for pranking the headmaster's car.
I don't recommend robbing but the series looks like it would be fun to read. I wanted more of Kat and Hale and see what they get up too.

Carolina Girl is the third book in the Carolina/McCloud Brothers.
In the McCloud brothers they all had money and then lost it in different ways. This book ties up the loose ends in the
previous books. Some sex scenes.
It has some great characters, some old favorites and some new ones. Has drama,danger and heroes. Shows how much family can do and share each other burdens and trials.
Clay is hiding out at the beach house this book. He was betrayed by his fiance and business partner. He does not plan to let anyone else take his work. He is going to control everything. Right now he is being a beach bum. Also he is tinkering with the clock tower he plans to get it working.
Clay watches a Loggerhead turtle come onto the beach and lay her eggs. He wants to protect them after that. He also wants to protect his brother and sister-in-law land from being overrun.
Aurora is back home after being fired. She is also helping her family both her sister and father were hurt in a accident. She has sold everything she can to help pay the bills. All she has is her expensive car.
Someone wants to buy the land thier family has had for generations. If one person sells to the state it will force the land to be auctioned off. some will make money the rest won't even have a home if that happens. She wants some changes but not the swamp gone
and condos built.
I liked how the story ends even if I guessed some of the story.

Wild for the Sheriff by Kathleen O'Brien

My main complaint against Wild for the Sheriff was it ended. I wanted to know what happens with the other characters. I hate to wait for the answers in the next book.
I was lost in the story. I like the characters. There was one love scene in the book.
Rowena Wright has come back home after her father died in prison for murdering her mom.
She has come to fix up the ranch for the next renters or for selling it. Her two sisters wanted to sell it. They had found thier mother at the foot of the stairs. When Rowena was 16 and the oldest.
Rowena loves to work outdoors. She has kept moving from one job to the next. She is restless. She ran away from her Aunt's place and did not tell anyone that she was leaving. Rowena had a rep. as the town trouble maker. She even went after Dallas Garwood the town's good boy to take him down a peg. But a few days before her mother's death. Rowena's father shot Dallas Garwood when he got them having sex in his truck.
Dallas Garwood is now the town Sheriff. He is raising his son Alec by himself. Also his younger brother Mitch. He wants Mitch to go back to collage. Dallas is goodlooking and always has someone flirting with him.
Alec hates homework,his babysitter. He loves to ride his bike 2 miles out to the ranch where no one lives and explore it. He loves to be outdoors too. He wants to find his dad a girlfriend so he can go to France and live with his mom and her new twins.
I enjoyed reading Wild for the Sheriff and look for the next story in the Sister's of Bell River Ranch which is coming in July 2013.

Yellowstone Memories by Jennifer Rogers Spinola

Yellowstone Memories is a collection of four stories in different eras that tie in loosely around lost gold. One of the four stories hit me hard last night and just cried. They are Christian based stories,clean language, and are well told. I was feeling for the characters and reacted to the stories. Also make me want to back and see Yellowstone again.
Black Widow
Collette Moreau was half french and half Arapaho and at age 14 sold to a trapper. She is accused of having killed her husband and is on the run hiding on a ranch pretending she does not know English. She has a letter and a key that would help her find the gold.
Wyatt Kelly is 25 and all of his family were killed by indians. His Uncle took him in. He was week physically but smart. He was determined to find the hidden gold that was supposed to be close by his Uncle's ranch. He thought if he taught english to Collette that would help him find the gold.
Others are willing to kill to find the gold. They don't think the law is for them.
Finding Yesterday
Justin Fairbanks is working as a CCC recruit to help build yellowstone park trails. He is trying to hide from his past. Justin sends money home to help support his sister and little brother. He drove drunk and killed someone.
Lia shows up at yellowstone with a friends family. It was Lia's father Justin killed.
Justin has changed his life around and he asks for Lia's forgiveness.
After the Ashes
Thomas Walks-with-Eagles and Alicia Sanchez are firefighters fighting Yellowstone's big fire.
Alicia has had a poor background of abuse physical and emotional. She has eating problems and not caring if she lives or dies.
Thomas cares for Alicia always sharing with her. He is worried about her and shares his past mistakes and his conversion to follow Jesus has helped him change his life around.
Alicia's old boyfriend has threaten to kill her if she ever left him. That was two years ago. She thinks she sees him around.
Kamikaze
Taka Shimamori is researching wolves and other animals at Yellowstone. He is different and thats his truth and he embraces himself.
Jersey Peterson has predjuced against the Japeneese and judges Taka unfairly. The rumor about the gold is being looked for again.
I loved the characters in all these stories and wished they were longer. This makes a good book to read in short bits with the different stories. Or read all 4 at once.
They make you think and realize the power of Christ is.

Refuge by Carole Rummage

I looked at some of the early reviews before I started reading Refuge. I agree with some of them about somethings. Yes I guessed
at somethings that were going to happen. Yes the big mystery part was not really a mystery. But others I totally disagree!
I never saw it billed as a mystery. I would say it is more a romance character YA driven story. I connected with the characters a little too much. I cried in too many places. I like Laney.
she has gone through so much all at once. I like her Aunt & Uncle. Her Aunt took more time for me too warm up to her.
Most relationships build over time some quicker than others.
I don't know if I would go back to the Refuge like Laney does after her first experience there. The Refuge is a animal refuge area they have red wolves and bears. Her first time there Laney is rescued by Gabe. Gabe is newer to the area too. He is a artist and paints animals. His paintings already hang in some galleries. Gabe also has some work that is commissioned.
Gabe spends a lot of time painting the wild life at the Refuge. Gabe keeps secrets about himself. Laney & Gabe have a lot in common and talk to each other since they first met.
Matthew is a collage student. He wants to be a Doctor someday and make a lot of money. Matthew's mom is Laney's Aunt Helen best friend. She is always encouraging Laney to go out with Matthew more. Inviting him over to meet Laney.
This is a sweet story. Has some good lessons. I hated to put the book down to go answer the door or phone. I look forward to reading more from Carole Rummage in the future.
