Claiming the Cowboy's Heart by Linda Ford (Cowboys of Eden Valley)

Description

A Haven Out West

After witnessing her fiancé's murder, Jayne Gardiner won't let herself be caught on the wrong side of a gun again. But a disastrous first lesson in self-defense has left her with a wounded cowboy. She insists on nursing the handsome stranger back to health—whether he wants it or not!

Getting waylaid by a wild shot has definitely put a hitch in Seth Collins's step—and plans. Duty may call him home, but Seth can't resist lingering on Eden Valley Ranch to teach the English beauty to shoot. And when a shadowy figure from Jayne's past resurfaces, Seth's sudden urge to protect her has nothing to do with duty.

Cowboys of Eden Valley: Forging a future in Canada's west country

Review: Claiming the Cowboy's Heart

4 STARS

I have enjoyed reading Claiming the Cowboy's heart it is my second book in the series. I wish I had read all of the series. They sound interesting. I will have to be on the lookout for them.

It had some twist that I did not see coming and others that I did. It was fun reading this morning. I like the characters. The fact it is a clean read. Had plenty of drama, action, cute animals and kids. A little bit of faith and scripture that seemed natural in the story. Even some gunfights with bad guy and good guy.

The setting is a ranch in Eden Valley Canada in 1800's.

The plot three young ladies traveled from England to Eden Valley Canada. Jayne Gardiner after witnessing the death of her fiancé came to stay with her brother. Jayne is determined that she learn to shoot. While shooting the gun with her two friends she wounded a cowboy when she closed her eyes.

Seth Collins is on his way home to take care of his father. He is talked into staying till his leg starts healing. Seth takes on the job of teaching Jayne how to shoot a gun safely.

It was a fun charming book. I laughed at the fawn and children playing together.
I like reading Linda Ford's book and will continue reading them in the future.

I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it when done by Netgalley and Harlequin.
