Home to Seaview Key by Sherryl Woods
Description
New York Times bestselling author Sherryl Woods reveals that the most delightful surprises may await right in your own backyard!
Falling for a handsome stranger on the very morning they meet is hardly what recently divorced Abby Miller planned for her return to Seaview Key. Hoping to mend an old friendship and to give back to the community she loves, Abby's definitely not looking for love.
For ex-soldier Seth Landry, Seaview Key seems like the perfect place to heal a broken heart…eventually. And when he rescues a beautiful woman on the beach, his nightmares about the past are eclipsed by daydreams about the future.
Neither Abby nor Seth are looking for forever, but powerful love has its own timetable. And taking a chance on the future will test their courage in ways neither of them could possibly have anticipated
My Review: Home to Seaview Key
4 STARS
This book had some serious flirting going on. It makes you smile. I loved the characters how they all had different relationships with each other in the book. The characters made you want to see how they are doing as well. They are in each other faces and give lots of advice. Weather they wanted it or not.
The plot is simple. Abby Miller has come home after her divorce. She wants to develop her property on the island. Her best friend and boyfriend in high school have married. She wants to reconnect with Hannah. She gets rescued from drowning by Seth. They are both weary but can't stop flirting with each other.
Hannah is feeling stressed and afraid that her breast cancer will come back. She is also afraid that Luke will like his old girlfriend better than her imperfect body.
The setting is Seaview Key Island. A small friendly island.
There is plenty of drama going on the island. The characters are what sells the story and keep your attention till the end.
There are a lot of little characters that help still the show of all ages. From babies to senior citizens who all have opinions and are not afraid to give them to each other. I did not want the story to end.
Their are a couple of love scenes that I skipped over.
I would come back and read more books about Seaview Key and the characters.
The pacing was fine. Makes you want to go to Seaview Key and stay awhile.
I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harlequin.
