A Cold Creek Christmas Surprise by Raeanne Thayne

Description

USA TODAY bestselling author RaeAnne Thayne brings readers back to the ranch for an emotional holiday visit with The Cowboys of Cold Creek

Hardened rancher Ridge Bowman has long told himself he has no need for love—just work and his little girl are enough to get him through. But when his "cleaning lady," Sarah Whitmore, gets injured on his staircase, well, of course he has to invite her to spend the holidays with him. It's only the responsible thing to do.

Only, Sarah isn't really there to work on his house. She came bearing precious artwork belonging to Ridge's late mother, and possibly a secret that could devastate them both. But as Christmas draws closer, so does Ridge—and Sarah convinces herself that she will tell him what she knows as soon as the holiday is over. She might be the key to his past—if only he could be a part of her future….

My Review: A Cold Creek Christmas Surprise

4 STARS

We finally find out what happened the night Bowmans died. This story has some real sweet Christmas moments in it. It also has some funny moments.

I like the Bowman family. This is Ridge Bowman story. He is the oldest of the brothers and sister. Ridge is a single father.
He takes care of the ranch. It is the day after his sister's wedding. He is expecting the cleaning company to clean up after the wedding.
So when a couple of hours late he is abrupt with Sarah and really does not give her a chance to say anything just tells her where the cleaning supplies are and to take care of the mess.
Sarah is not the cleaning lady. She decides to help anyway and then trips down the stairs. With a concussion and broken arm she can't stay in the motel. So Ridge brings her back. Sarah tries to stay at motel but no one listens to her. She has lots of secrets.
Sarah is not lucky with her family. She enjoys spending the Christmas with Ridge and his family. She knows if he only knew the whole truth about her she would not be welcomed their.
This is a clean romance. Cute kids and dog. Lots of snow and Christmas traditions. Has some suspense but mostly character driven. It is a fast read that makes you want to curl up and enjoy the fire. If I had one like the Bowmans.

I was given this ebook to read and asked to give honest review of it by NetGalley and Harlequin.
