My Review:Maltipoos are Murder by Jacqui Lane (A Doggie Spa Mystery#1)

4 STARS

I liked the characters and want to see more of them in the future. The plot was a good suspense was not sure who the killer was till the reveal. Fast paced cozy mystery. Easy to follow and makes you want to take your dogs to a doggie spa. Has some nice humor.
Their is even some dog recipes in the back of the book.

I really like Cara Rogers. She is a strong female character. She takes her responsibilities serious. She has had some bad luck and come to help her great Aunt run her doggie spa til she gets back on her feet.

Detective Cole Sampson is good looking and has his own troubled past. He is serious about his job. He likes Cara and can't see her as the murder.

Cara first day on her new job she finds her great aunt dead in the swimming pool. She does not believe it was an accident. She wants to find out who has a motive to kill her. She finds a few with motives for wanting her Aunt dead.

The only problem I had with plot was I think someone who ran a business for a dog spa and was involved with a dog rescue would have had a dog of their own.

Cara Rogers to save money is living with her mother. Her mother has her own boyfriend. Cara has just lost her business that she loved and broke up with her lawyer boyfriend. She is very attracted to Detective Cole Sampson.

The setting for the book is Middleburg, VA a small community about 45 minutes away from D.C. area.

I would love to read more of this series.

I was given this ebook to read for the purpose of giving a honest review and being part of its blog tour.
