When Emma got a phone call from a sorce saying a agent needed help. So she was able to send it in for Colin. Review:Black deeper than Death by M.E. Purfield

3 STARS I liked the story idea, the characters but hated all the profanity. So I would rate a lot higher except for that. Miki Radicci is a 16 year old living with her grandfather and friend. She is an artist makes a lot of money. She drinks way to much. She was made an adult from the state. She is psychic and feels the violence around her. She is on the street when she felt someone stabbed to death. The police questions her about the death. Miki wants to find and stop the man who killed Kathaleen and herself in that dark alley. The killer knows who she is and sends email to her. Miki meets a rich collage student after the funeral for Kathaleen. Christopher and the next day he shows up at her art showing. The story has a few surprises that I did not see. I like it that way. I was given this ebook by author in exchange for honest review.

Review: Zero Visibility by Sharon Dunn

4 STARS I liked this fast paced book. I had many start and stop on this book because my town was evacuated for fire. I had to take my kindle. I liked the characters especially Nathan & Merci. Merci is putting herself through collage. She works for 1 year and than does a year of collage and than over again to work. Her parents are not going to be in the country for her break. She failed a class & her car broke down the week before school was out. She is looking for a ride to her Aunt's place and Lorelei offers her a ride to where she wants to go. Lorelei knows a shortcut through the backway but winter storm is here and she drives off the side of the road. When she goes to start the car it won't start. While they are seeing what they can do to get it unstuck a car with two guys come around. They put the girls in thier car which is on and heater is working. They open the car hood and trunk and Merci can't see what they are doing so she gets out. One of the guys is going through her bag. He sees her and pulls a gun on her. Then the other guy pulls a gun. Nathan was up to his family cabin saying goodby before he has to sell it and the ski resort and summer camp. Nathan is on snowmobile and sees the guys pull the gun on the girls. He races down and knocks one down and gets the girls to jump on behind them. He takes the girls to his cabin and calls to the sheriff that the girls were robbed by two gunman. After the girls are warm they try and make it down the mountain in his four wheeler and have to turn back. The phone does not work and roads are too snowy. Lorelei for some reason goes outside amd Nathan goes after her and gets knocked out. The gunman takes the snowmobile and Lorelei with him. Nathan and Merci try to find them and rescue Lorelei with his knowledge of the area. The adventure keeps going on the whole book. Lots of surprises in store for them during the spring blizzard. Lots of questions that finally get answered towards the end. I would love to see Nathan's twin get his own book. Thier is nothing in the book that needs a warning for. EVACUATED FOR FIRE

Been watching the fire outside my window since sat but today my whole town of Fairview got evacuated. Not a good time to be without a working car. This has been a big fire before today over 100 buildings and they think of those 25 to 30 houses destroyed. 1 death of someone who did not get out when they said too. They were hoping to get exact count but had to do more evacues. we are a small town but fire is on at least two sides and a new fire up the canyon got started now . we need rain. woodhollow fire they are calling it.

Her Cowboy Distraction by Carla Cassidy

4 STARS I liked it. Like the characters and would love to see more about them in the future. Part of the mystery is still unsolved the other part I really had no idea and was surprised. Its a quick read. Thier are a few love scenes. The story was quick paced. Daniel Jefferson comes into the cafe every friday night that Lizzy Wiles has worked in the cafe. Daniel orders two pieces of peach pie and a cup of coffee. He puts the pie on the other side of the table as if waiting for someone. He does not look up at the door just looks sad. Lizzy was tolld to go on break and she did something unuseal she sat down by Daniel and started talking to him and ate the pie. Lizzy even told him she liked apple pie better. Daniel sat thier stareing at her and then just got up and left the cafe. Lizzy felt terrible and went and told her boss what she had done. That is when Lizzy was told that Daniel and his wife came into the cafe every friday night and ordered two pieces of peach pie till she was killed in a car accident 18 months ago. Two women died in that accident. The next day all Daniel thought of was lizzy sitting down by him and smiling, talking to him. That next friday night Daniel came in and ordered 1 apple pie and 1 peach pic. When Lizzy came over to apoligize to him, Damiel interrupted and said he got apple pie for her. Most of the workers at the cafe live in little cabins in the back of the restraunt and one day Lizzy was asked to go get Candy she was late for work. Lizzy knocking hard on the door, it opened and she walked in and found Candy sitting on the couch with her throat slit. Later a couple of days after work Lizzy was on her way to her cabin and she was attacked and threatened. He was chased off when another waitress opened her door to talk to Lizzy saw and screamed. Lizzy was let go. The story was engaging and I hated to put the book down to keep answering the phone. I look forward to more stories about Grady Gulch, Oklahoma. Jocelyn threw her ring at him and called of the wedding. Joss decided to still go on the honeymoon by herself and figure out what to do next. Jason has been unhappy with his life and he decided to quit his job with the family company and sell his house. He is not sure what he will do now or where he will live. He decided to go to the family reunion first in Montana. He thinks thats a big mistake because everyone wants to talk about him staying with the company if not in texas than the new branch office here. Jase knows he does not want to be in the oil business any more. He has not even dated for over six months. He escaped the reunion to go to a bar in the resort that only has one consumer at the bar. Jason goes to sit at the bar and over hears Joss on the telephone telling Kenny to stop calling her. That the wedding is off. Joss and Jace strike up a conversation and Joss tells him she is not going to sleep with him. Jace says just want to talk. When a one night stand from a year ago tries to draw Jace back to the reunion Joss pretends that Jace is with her. Jace talks Joss into being his best friend for the week with no benafits just fun and companionship. So Joss and Jace go to the reunion.Joss is made very welcomed and gets lots of invitations for the week they will both be thier in town. They start a real friendship till their last night in town. Jace's mom catches them at the hotel and sees Joss with a wedding dress and jumps to conclusion that they are going to be married. Thier are a lot of sex scenes in the book. Review:Leaving Lancaster by Kate Lloyd

3 STARS It was a good story but for some reason I just did not feel connected to the characters. This was clean read not swearing or sex scenes. Deals with real problems. Esther Fisher gets a letter from her mother whom she has not seen since she was 16, when her and Samuel ran away from home. Her mother is in her 80's and wants to see her. Esther needs to tell her daughter the truth she has hidden for all these years. Holly Samantha Fisher at 37 has just lost her job. Holly has never married. Esther tells Holly that her grandmother is still alive with her uncles and family. Esther wants Holly to travel with her from Seattle Washington back to her Amish relatives in Lancaster. Holly can not believe her that her mother has been hiding that her relatives were alive. She wonders at what other lies her mother has told her. Did her dad really die during Viatnam. Esther runs an Amish goods store in Seattle, but she buys her products mostly from Ohio not the area she grew up on. Esther has raised Holly all by herself. She was born after Samuel went MIA. She feels guilty for the death of her husband because if they would have stayed and been baptised than he would not have been drafted. Holly finally agrees to fly with her mom to Lancaster and meet all the relatives she did not know she had. She always wanted a grandmother. When they are in a rental car Holly finds out her grandmother has no idea that they are coming. Her grandmother does not have a phone but her menonite neighbor does so they call her and she invites them to stay the night with her. Holly feels really close to Beth and meets her single son who is a vet. Zach. Esther has been jealous of Beth and Beth has had bitter feelings toward Esther . Grandma Anna is so glad that they have come especially when in a little while the whole family is going to move to Montana to buy land. They have sold this farm if they accept the offer. It shows you a slim glimmer of what life is with Amish. Deals more with issues of family and thier secrets, forgiveness, love Christ. Just dealing with regular family problems that come up in life.
