I like the Whisper Falls series. The town changed its name to match the nearby falls. Their is a legend going around that if you climb to the top of the falls and go behind them and say a prayer. Your prayer will be answered.

Cassie climbs up to the falls and prays for the numbness is released. Her husband died a couple of years ago on their honeymoon to Mexico.
Cassie cares about her town and family.

Heath came to Whisper Falls for some peace. He is the new assistant police chief. On his way to town has accident and Cassie saw and got help.

Cassie and Heath start as slowly as friends. Neither is looking for more.

This book has some drama, decisions that can affect the future. Mostly it is small town relationships that draws you in and keeps you reading.
It is a clean read. Does have talk about prayer and church. Not preachy at all.

I would come back and read more books like this in Whisper falls series. I like Linda Goodnight stories.

About This Author

Traci Andrighetti is the author of the Franki Amato mystery series. In her previous life, she was an award-winning literary translator and a Lecturer of Italian at the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a PhD in Applied Linguistics. My Review:Limoncello Yellow by Traci Andrighetti

Limoncello Yellow is an entertaining P.I. detective story. It is full of loveable characters, interesting settings, humor and dating woes.

The plot Franki's life is falling apart so she decides to move to New Orleans and become a P.I. with college roommate Veronica. They get a case to work on a murder to solve.

Franki's family is trying to find her a husband, especially her grandmother. Franki likes a banker she has just met. Her dating life is full of laughs and drama.

The setting is New Orleans from the fashion to Voodoo the story takes us.

The characters are fun and unique. From their landlady a ex-stripper who has plenty of stories to share.
To Franki's Italian family. To Veronica lawyer turned P.I.. A Nun, Goth, and Voodoo Priestess. Plus everyone else is special too.

I would definitely read another book in the series. A light hearted cozy mystery indeed.
This is a clean read too.

About This Author

Michele Lynn Seigfried is an award-winning novelist, children’s book author/illustrator and public speaker who was born and raised in New Jersey. In her mystery novels, she draws from her personal expertise in the area of municipal government, in which she has served for over 15 years in two different municipalities. She holds a B.A. in communication from the College of New Jersey with a minor in art. She obtained the Master Municipal Clerk certification from the International Institute of Municipal Clerks in 2010. She also holds the Registered Municipal Clerk certification and Certified Municipal Registrar Certifications from the State of New Jersey.

My Review: Tax Cut by Michelle Lynn Seigfried

Good mystery. Fun Characters, Good plot twists. Well told story that keeps your attention. Also a clean read.

I was always trying to figure out who or what was going on. It unfolded the mystery a little at a time.

Chelsey Alton heard through a friend that a job in her field was open because the last one was murdered.
Chelsey decided to go back to work because of the job opening. As a Municipal Clerk for Coral Beach. It was close enough to commute to work and her parents could babysit her daughter. Chelsey's finds a letter from the previous clerk that say's if he is dead it was his bosses fault.

Chelsey is a single mom of a two year old. She is excited to date a guy she met at New Year's Eve party. He is a single father too. Her first day on the job she meets a guy who starts stalking her. A Seenior citizen that has memory problems calls complaining about too many birds, tooth fairy, dead bodies. Her bosses are not that friendly. Maybe the mob is involved with the clerk's death.

Also the previous secretary had quit before she came to work so she told her friend Bonnie about the job who she worked with before about it. Bonnie is married to a Doctor but she likes to look and flirt with other guys. Bonnie is funny and likeable.

The setting is on a island in New Jersey.

The pacing is good and unfolds the story at a steady pace. I think I would have reported her stalker right away when he would not take a no.

I would like to back and read the first book Red Tape in the series and see how it all unfolded too. I would read another book in the series.

Their is drama, action, romance and lots of humor in Tax Cut.

My Review:Hidden Falls: The Mayor's Quandary - Episode 5 by Olivia Newport

I wish the cliffhanger resolutions were longer. I am still addicted to Hidden Falls. Do think the storylines are rushed.
Their is so much going on in all the episodes.

I like the characters so far. I like that the town is worried about Quinn and Dani and want to help.
I hope that what ever Quinn is up to is on the positive side. If he changes their will be a lot of unhappy people in the town of Hidden Falls and a bunch of readers.
Their are new dramas, mysteries popping up. The whole town of Hidden Falls is starting to worry and are being stressed.

I like reading Olivia Newport books. But I do wish these episodes were longer. I feel like they are a 30 minute tv show when I want the hour long dramas compared.
It is a clean read. Another cliffhanger ending that wants to make you come back and read what is going on.

My Review: Delivering Hope by Jennifer Ann Holt

Need lots of tissue. I cried sad, happy, joyful, compassion and grateful tears. This story touched me in so many different ways. These have not been my trials, but know a lot of people that have or had to deal with these issues.

These characters felt so real to me. Boy did I go on a rollercoaster ride reading this book. I hope I am not the neighbor that says the wrong thing to someone and brings more pain to their table. Or that I am not the one that keeps someone away from church for a hurtful remark about being a teen mother. So many people that I know I have thought of while reading this story.

I like what Olivia tried to do to get over her anger and disappointment, especially on Mothers Day.

Olivia always wanted to be a mother but month after month the answer was no. People in her ward thought she had chosen to be a career nurse instead of a mother. They would say things that really hurt Olivia.

Allison Campbell made a mistake one time and ended up being pregnant. She went right to her Bishop to talk to and get counseling. When she showed finally she heard women talking bad about her and just wanted to stay away from church because of it.

This story is written in three parts. The first is Olivia story of what she is going through. The second is Allison's story. I cared for both Allison and Olivia and what they were going through the highs and lows of their stories.

This book talks a lot about the love the Savior has for each of us, The Atonement, free agency. It is a very clean read.

The pacing was good. I only put the book down to blow my nose and grab more tissue.
I will be reading Jennifer's new book Discovering peace real soon!

My Review:Do NOT Attempt in Heels: Mission Stories and Advice from Sisters Who’ve Been There

Title is so true. Reading this book brought a bunch of memories back from 85-86 when I served a mission. The timing of this book is off for my family. My youngest got home in Dec. from her mission. It would have been nice a couple of years ago.

Do Not Attempt in Heals is a bunch of essays written by different women who served a mission and a couple that did not go.
When one young woman was trying to decide if she should go or stay home her father said, " You may regret not going, but you will never regret going." So true.

This book is geared toward young woman who are trying to decide if going on a mission is the right choice for them. But I think it can uplift anyone to read these essays that tell a brief glance at one event or lesson learned. Weather it is learning to get along with a companion all the time, or learning service, love for the people, getting answers from prayers, growing stronger or humbling themselves.

These Sister Missionaries served all over the world, in different languages. All learned many things from serving a mission.

I enjoyed reading Do Not Attempt in Heels. Sharing their love of the Savior.

My Review:Stephanie Boyd's Touching Sky CD

I have enjoyed listening to Touching Sky. It has a good mix of tunes.
I really like the beat of Today and find me moving to it.
Then their are songs that have a special message that can uplift you. Like I am Divine, or He will Provide the Way.

If your having a bad day this would be a good cd to listen to. It makes you smile inside. I have listen to this cd a few times and have enjoyed it each time I have listened to it.
