Lifestyles of the Great and Spacious by John Bytheway blog tour & review

Lifestyles of the Great and Spacious by John Bytheway

With every passing day, the unforgettable imagery in Lehi’s dream becomes more real and more relevant. In our modern world, we can literally hear the taunts and see the pointing fingers of people like those in the great and spacious building. We find ourselves clinging with greater energy to the rod of iron as we work through the massive mists of darkness toward the tree of life. In Lifestyles of the Great and Spacious, John Bytheway looks at Lehi’s dream, and with his characteristic humor, comments from Church leaders, scholarly insights, and personal experiences, he expands our understanding of these precious verses of scripture.

My Review Lifestyles of the Great & Spacious by John Bytheway

This is the first book I have read by John Bytheway but not the last. It is a small book only 157 pages and they are short pages. So I thought I could just hurry and read through it. But no it made me think of Lehi's dream in more detail and look at each verse different ways.

It is a book to read and reread and I could learn more each time. One example the iron rod. When I hear that phrase I also hear the word of God. Which is the answer that Nephi received. He suggests that one it leads to the Tree of Life. But it also protects us so we don't fall into the river or get lost. Its also a guide-rail. It opened my eyes to more detail into the scriptures in a way I can understand.

He quotes lots of scriptures, Prophets and General Authorities and brings them all together to help me to better feast on the scriptures.

So why is it important to understand Lehi's dream because it can help us be strong not to fall for Satan tricks. Too keep our children safe and help us get back to our Heavenly Father. The truth is power so we can make the right choices. That we know how to get to the tree of Life and stay their and not get lost in the Great and spacious building.

I was given this book and asked to give honest review of Lifestyles of the Great and Spacious.
