Becoming Beauty by Sarah Boucher Giveaway 3 Amazon gift cards
Claws. Long, filthy, and dangerously sharp.
They’re the first thing Bella sees after what has easily been the worst day of her life. Careful not to alert her captor to her conscious state, she glances past the matted fur-covered arms and expanse of chest to the face. If something surrounded by tangled black rattails can be called a face.
Perhaps if Bella were the quintessential Beauty—gorgeous, kindhearted, and self-sacrificing—she might have a fighting chance in transforming this monster into a man. But she’s never been the toad-kissing kind. Obsessed with landing a wealthy nobleman and escaping her humdrum life, she will stop at nothing to achieve her goals. Which is precisely what landed her here, at the mercy of the Beast.
In this imaginative retelling of Beauty and the Beast, Bella's strong sense of entitlement stresses her family's meager finances and as punishment she's sent into the Beast’s service. As Bella improves circumstances in her new life, she also finds herself changing for the better. Bella must choose whether to follow the path she’s always dreamed of—or risk it all for something even greater

About the author:
Sarah E. Boucher spends her days instilling young children with the same love of literature she has known since childhood. After hours, she pens her own stories and nurses an unhealthy obsession for handbags, high heels, baking, and British television. Sarah is a graduate of Brigham Young University. She lives and teaches in Ogden, Utah. Becoming Beauty is her first novel.
My review: Becoming Beauty by Sarah Boucher
4 STARS
This is a fresh slant on a old beloved tale of Beauty & the Beast. It worked really well. It kept my attention and me wanting to know how it all worked out. I really like Jack, & Cassie right off the bat. Bella & the Beast took time to become likeable.
Bella is the middle child. She is spoiled and wants to have new dresses all the time. She does not feel or act Beautiful. Bella is a daydreamer & lazy.
The Beast is not happy in fact he is full of angry. He lives alone except for Jack.
Cassie is Bella's older sister who is beautiful, talented and a hard worker. She is made to go to the balls with Bella. She always wears the same dress and draws all the gentleman to her.
Jack is the beasts friend since childhood. They learned lessons together. He won't be scared off like everyone else in the beast house.
Bella is pushed out of her house to take her father's place as a servant to the beast, because it is her fault the trouble her father got into. Her father is very sick.
It was hard to guess exactly how this story would work out. Did like the lessons that Bella and the Beast learned along their journey. This book is aimed at anyone who likes fairy tales like the Beauty & the Beast. It is a clean read.
I was given this ebook to read by Cedar Fort Publishing for the purpose of giving a honest review and being part of Becoming Beauty blog tour.
