a Touch of Christmas Magic by Scarlet Wilson

A family to heal him?
After a rocky beginning, midwife Bonnie Reid is surprised when the head obstetrician Jacob Layton offers her and her little daughter, Freya, a place to stay. Bonnie's looking for a fresh start, but she didn't expect it to be with brooding—and totally gorgeous—Jacob…
Family life has never been an option for Jacob—especially after his recent cancer diagnosis. Yet the Christmas magic Bonnie and Freya bring into his home makes Jacob feel more alive than ever! It's supposed to be temporary, but can Jacob really let Bonnie go?

My review: a Touch of Christmas Magic by Scarlet Wilson

4 stars

I enjoyed watching these characters together and how they are healing each other.  There is plenty of drama, cute babies, and one darling little five year old Freya. Pretty clean read.

Bonnie Reid moved with her little Freya from Scotland to England.  It was a fast move.  On her first day she is late to start work.  Boy does she have a tough first day at work. She is a midwife.

Jacob Layton is the head obstetrician.  He is a grouch.  He is keeping his problems a secret from almost everyone.

When Jacob gives Bonnie a ride to her hotel and sees the condition of it, He offers her & her daughter a place to stay until she can find a place.  Bonnie accepts because her daughter's health problems.

I loved how Jacob was opening his heart to them.  They were bringing color into his house.

Does have some problem pregnacies. don't know if I would have wanted to read this if I was close to delivering.

The setting is Cambridge, England.  A lot of the drama happens in the hospital.

I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley and Harlequin.  In return I agreed to give a honest review of A Touch of Christmas Magic.
