Lair of the Serpent: Tombs of Terror Series by T. Lynn Adams
5 STARS
I have read all three books in the Tombs of Terror series and have gave them all 5 STARS. This one I was fascinated with all the knowledge about Cambodia that I did not know. Different myths about Naga, animals, ruins, Naga fireballs. I was also horrified to realize how bad the slave trade was their. It is scary to think of it being real.
The plot was good. Jonathon has traveled to Cambodia to surprise Delia for her birthday. When he gets their he finds his friend Severino there but his sister has been kidnapped. Jonathon and Severino plan to find her before they leave no matter what they have to face.
The story has plenty of drama, action and surprises. You don't want to put the book down till its finished. Though I admit to putting the book aside while I looked up some pictures of things they talked about. Like Oarfish & Naga fireballs. It is a clean read.
Some of the characters are back again from Tombs of Terror. Jonathon a American who speaks Spanish, English. He is seventeen.
Delilah who saved Jonathon's life when she found him in the tunnels of the Inca in Peru. She wants to be a doctor so is working for doctors who have clinic in Cambodia. She likes Jonathon too. Her brother is Severino.
Severino was part of a terrorist in Peru trying to find who murdered his father. He also helped save Jonathon's life in Tombs of Terror. He also visited him in Utah and they had another adventure in The Lost Curse.
Juan is a archaeologist we met him in Tombs of Terror he is a friend and co-worker with Jonathon's dad.
He has come to help find Delia and help make sure the boys get back safe too.
Their are some new characters too. Some good, some bad and some you are just not sure which side of the line they are on. They keep you guessing.
If you like adventure, action and some humor, history, myths, friends and fast moving book I recommend this book. The only bad part is that their is truth about slave trade is still strong in places.
I was given this ebook and asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley.
