Orion Poe and the Lost Explorer by Will Summerhouse

Description

Eleven-year-old Orion lives with his stodgy grandfather in eastern Maine, where nothing exciting ever happens. But then a series of strange events draws him into the mystery of a lost explorer, and Orion is swept up in a whirlwind of adventure that takes him to the top of the world. To survive he must outwit a scheming treasure hunter, team up with a gang of flimps, and take on a tyrant with an anger management problem. Can Orion solve the mystery and get back home alive? And just what are flimps, anyway?

Orion Poe is about to find out. Join him as he laughs, cries, bluffs, and shoots his way to the heart of one of the greatest mysteries in the history of exploration. Along the way he discovers that the world is far bigger—and stranger—than he ever imagined.

My Review: Orion Poe and the Lost Explorer by Will Summerhouse

4 STARS

Is a exciting adventure with surprises around every corner. The story as characters that I liked, admired, who I disliked and ones I hated. Had unknown creatures attacking in the fog. Had boat races and fights aboard ships. It is a fast paced adventure for ages 8 and up.

Orion Poe is a eleven year old. He has courage, curious mind and spirit of adventure. He lives with his grandfather in eastern Maine.
He rescues a man washed ashore. Because of that he gets to go on a adventure to find what happened to a famous explore.

Some of Orion Poe adventures having to get stuck in the ice and having to leave the ship. He gets lost, face lots of trials before it is done. You don't want to put the book down.

The setting is to the North in uncharted land and see in the fall with ice already starting to freeze.

There are many heroes that risk there lives for others and what they believe in.

This is a exciting book. A clean read. There is some violence and deaths.

I was given this ebook to read for purpose of giving a honest review of it.
