My review: Field of Graves by J.T. Ellison (Taylor Jackson #8)
4 STARS
Field of Graves is a good title. There are a lot of murders in this police detective story. This is book 8 in the Taylor Jackson series. It takes us back to when Taylor meets John Baldwin. So J.T. Ellison fans will love it. New fans can easily pick it up and meet the characters.
Lieutenant Taylor Jackson is head of her unit that gets the cases no can solve or harder ones. She gets attacked in her own home and has to kill someone. She is haunted by nightmares. She is a good cop.
Dr. Samantha Owens is the medical examiner and Taylor;s best friend.
FBI profiler Dr. John Baldwin. He feels guilty for surviving when his team did not. He is giving up.
Someone has killed a young women. and left her to be found naked. Taylor has a feeling that this won't be the last murder. She is determined to find and stop him.
This is not a light read. It is a good police detective novel. You can feel the tension mounting as more and more it becomes a race to stop the killer.
I like to read books by J.T. Ellison. Her stories work. Parts of this story was hard to understand, but the killer was not rational either.
I was given this novel to read by NetGalley and Harlequin. In return I agreed to give a honest review of Field of Graves.
