DINER IMPOSSIBLE (A Rose Strickland Mystery #3) by Terri L. Austin

The much anticipated third Rose Strickland Mystery **

After shunning her overbearing parents’ wealthy lifestyle, waitress and part-time college student, Rose Strickland, is drawn back into their world when she tries to prove the impossible: the innocence of the town’s crooked police chief. He’s suspected in the gruesome death of Delia Cummings, his secretary and mistress, and all the evidence points to him.

While she tracks down clues with the aid of her anime-loving bestie, Rose’s pal, Axton, and his Klingon gang are feuding with their Starfleet rivals. Things get hairier than a pile of well-fed Tribbles, so Rose gets involved. In between interrogating Trekkies and quizzing socialites at high tea, she discovers the secrets Delia Cummings took to her grave. Suspects abound, but when Chief Mathers threatens to bring down Rose’s criminally mischievous and maybe boyfriend, Sullivan, she makes it her mission to find the real killer before Sullivan finds himself in prison.

My Review: Diner Impossible by Terri L Austin

4 STARS

Diner Impossible is the third book of the series but is the first one I have read. It was entertaining. Part of the story was light hearted and part was sad. The Characters were all over the place. I was surprised about what ones I liked. I would have thought I would be on the trekers not Klingons side. Like the crooks over police chief. Daughters side over mothers. Also clean read.

Lots of drama of all kinds. Plot was good never show who the guilty party was till the end or the motive. Waitress Rose was asked to look into the murder of police chief secretary with proving the police chief was innocent by two different people. One was by a cop who did not think he was guilty but was not working the case. The other was her mother.

Roseland mother does not approve of her lifestyle. It was sad that no one really knew she was her daughter. Her parents do not approve of her dropping out of college and working as a waitress and not living a high society lifestyle. Their are a lot of relationships that are having trouble in this story.

Another mystery that she is trying to help is between the Klingons and Starfleet officers. They had a laser completion and winner's prize was stolen. Everyone's honor is at stake. Lots of humor coming from them. I admit I like Star Trek but had no idea about their clubs.

Rose's boyfriend runs gambling games and clubs and The police chief owes him a lot of money. Rose's coworkers are a lot of fun too. While her family is high Society and a lot of suspects are also part of Country club set.

I would read more books about Rose Strickland in the future. Would love to read the first two books of the series someday.

I was given this ebook to read and in return asked to give honest review by NetGalley and Henery Press.
