Review:Beside a Dreamswept Sea by Vicki Hinze

4 STARS
I only  got teary eyed in this last book Seascape Inn. I know that they were written long tim e and under a different name. But I wish Selena got her own story.
Susie breaks your heart with nightmares every night. Jeremy would get on anyones nerves once in a while but he is so loving. The baby likes to put weird stuff in her hair.Bryce is a widow raising his three children and trying and like anyone else feel like failing sometimes. Br yce loves his kids and is their for them.
While they first came to  Seascape Inn instead of sleeping in his own bed he slept out in the hall so he would hear Susie when the Nightmare comes.
Newly divorced  Callie gets drawn to Seascape Inn.  She was verbily abused and husband only agreed to alimony because his lawye set it up. (Which of course being Bryce) Callie never  came to any of the divorce meetings.
Both Callie & Bryce swear never to love again.  Both of thier spouses took all their love and did not givthie love back.
It had some nice drama to this last book and had some answers as well.  Too like all the characters of the town.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from netgalley.

Review:Popular Clone by M.E. Castle

4 STARS
I liked it but wonder about what age would read it. Their are a lot of big words. I am not sure if the kids would know the words or would look them up. I know I was bad at looking up words when I was in school
Fisher is a 12 year old who is really smart. His parents are too in fact they are all scienists and inventers. Even have won a noble prize. Fisher is picked on and bullied by the vikings 3 bigger kids. He is shy and wants out of school maybe start collage.
His mom invented a flying pig because his dad said when pigs fly so of course they invented FP. One of his parents invented talking appliances, big vegatables that could only come into the garage they were so big. His mom was working on a new chemical that made things grow fast.
Fisher got the idea to take a little and break it down so he could make more and clone himself. So the clone would go to school and deal with the bullies and other problems their. Fisher through trial and error made a clone of himself in a three day weekend.
The clone Fisher calls him Fisher two or just Two for short.  Well Two saw a commercial and thought the mom on it disappeared was their mom. Two also read wikipedia got a lot of knowledge from their.  Two became popular fast made lots of friends, fought the vikings back, played jokes got called to princable office.
Doctor X was evil scientist that was trying to find out the formula His mom invented. Two different times his spies tried to break into house while Fisher was hiding and scared them off.
It used science, and smarts to invent stuff, action to take care of bad guys and stand up too bullies.

Review:Three the Hard Way by Matthew Iden

4 Stars
I am enjoying a new feature on my kindle where it reads the books outloud to you.  I can read or listen to alot more books this way. I listened to Three the Hard Way last night when my eyes were too tired to see the words clearly.
Their are three short stories in this collection that make you think it does not give you all the answers.
The first story is very up todate. Unfortunatly I can see this really could happen.
A couple bought a new house a year ago and now they are going to loose the house.  They are at the bank trying to get them to help them to keep it.
Where a year ago the bank manager could not have been more happy to deal with them whereas now he is all hard nose bank manager.  When the bank is getting robbed.
These stories are not the Happy ever after stories but could really happened and in some ways are happening now. They are short stories easy to understand and follow. I was given this ebook from the author in exchange for honest review.

Review:Upon a Mystic Tide by Vicki Hinze

5 STARS
This is the second of three books in Seascape Inn series.  Well scince I cried in it I have to say I was feeling this story.  Was not sure how much I would like this one but I did.
Tony the matchmaking ghost is back and so is the townsfolk who we met in the first book.
Dr. Bess Cameron is getting divorce really soon even though only lived with her husband one year but seperated 6 years. She was seperated when she got her job at a radio dJ she is psychoiogist and cancells on talk radio her boss lets her know that the owner will let her go when she finds out.
Right after that conversation Tony calls the show live and lets everyone know her divorce will be final soon. Tony also talks to her in her head at same time.
Bess visits her friendsT.J. and Maggie  finally look at seascape painting and feels she has to go their right now.  T.J. & Maggie fell in love at seascape inn with Tony's help.
John Mystic still listens to his wife radio show and feels  concern about the weird telephone call Tony had made.  He never wanted the divorce and does not why Bess left him.  He has had a case over 6 years ago to find Elise's daughter she thinks was kidnapped but Bess & FBI think she eloped. John has put Elise's case first in his life even over Bess. Elise has been more to a mother for John and she dies and Bess does not even go to funeral.
John & Bess fight through their lawyers about who wants what. Bess nothing John wants her to have half.  Their Judge is ready to put Bess in jail or pay 10,000 fine. John can't pay it for her. So John follows her up to Maine and Tony starts to talk to him in his mind and fixes Bess car so she can't leave.
I can't wait to read the last book next. Hope I don't cry in that one too.

Review: Tyler Palewhite: Soft-Boiled Detective by Joseph valentinetti

4 STARS
I liked it but is not a book I will reread again. The characters took awhile for me to care about them.
Tyler is a salesman who is always toward the bottom in sales. Tyler is always making excuses why that is. Plus he is always asking his friend to cover for him. Tyler wants to be a writer in fact he wrote one detective book and sent it off to lots of publishers. No short stories or articles just the one novel. It keeps on comming back rejected.
Tyler gets the idea to fake being a real detective to help sell his book. He then uses sales training to sell himself. He makes business cards, stationary and advertises. He starts getting a few cases that he does find the people by using  computers.  Then he gets cases that he bumbles through and with his friends gets over his head in trouble.
The ending was okay but I wanted a little bit more from it.

Review:Accidental Bride by Denise Hunter

4 STARS
I felt for Shay in so many ways. I could not believe how Travis had left her on the court steps in her wedding dress with no money or change of clothes at 18.
Shay was trying on wedding dress for founder's day ceremony when Travis walked into the shop were she was trying it on.  Shay was not happy to see him after all these years and especially wearing a wedding dress.
Travis had regretted leaving Shay and how he did it.  He came back six months later and Shay was married to someone else and soon to be a mother. So Travis had not been back since until his mom called and asked him to watch over their ranch.  Travis started to say no but his mom told him Shay was single again.  Travis jumped at the chance to come back and try with Shay again.
The groom for founder's day ceremony had to step out and they got Travis to do it.  Shay only found out when she got to the preacher.  Turned out their wedding license from years ago that they had both signed got brought to ceremony and preacher signed it and mailed it with others he had.
Shay was loosing her family ranch and had broken her foot.  Travis offered to carry ranch for 5 months if she will give him a chance to be together again.  Shay had to accept his help.  Oliva liked having Travis around.
It was a good story.  Easy to see what happened in the past and future mistakes.  Was fun to watch them work things out. Good clean story.  I would read more books from 'denise again.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review.

Review: Fire elements of the Dead by William Esmont

3 STARS
My review is not totaly fair because I only heard 9% of the book.  I was listening on my kindle when I realized I kept cringing with all the swear words and I really was uncomfortable and did not want my ADULT children even to hear.  The story was getting really interesting when I decided it was not for me.

Review:Effie at the wedding by tracy Marchini

4 STARS
This is a very short story.  Deals with Effie at her big sister's wedding.
I can see this story could be real.  Effie is always counting down 3 reasons why or why not how she feels about something.
Like what she does like about the groom and three reasons she is not happy her sister is getting married.
She is dealing with some real issues. How she feels about her weight how her mom feels about her weight.
I would read more of Tracy's work. it is easy to follow, seams real, clean now swearing or sex scenes. I wash given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Librarythings.

Review:Roman Solaire and the Crystal Towers by Mobashar Qureshi

  4 STARS
I enjoyed Roman Solaire.   I tried something new with my kindle I turned the audio on and it read the book to me.  Not as well if I bought a audio cd but it let me listen to the book while I was able to do other things at same time.  I think I am going to do this a lot and be more productive and read more books than I can do other wise.
Roman Solaire gets things done, he does not work for any goverment and does what he thinks is right.  He took months to figure out how to get a key off one person by being a waiter and by helping custome lifted key from around his neck. But later pictures showed of him doing it and he was blackmailed into doing another job with expenses paid. He took them up on that.
It was a well written story that made it easy to follow Romain and made sense of how he set himself up to get the information he wanted.  I will read more of his books or listen to them. It kept my attention in the story.   I was given this ebook from librarythings in exchange of honest review.

Review: The Best Bad Dream by Robert Ward

5 STARS
It was a little different the villians of the story. I guessed some right and a whole lot wrong. It kept me guessing and surprised me at the end.
Their were a lot of characters that I did not admire and a few I did, but they where all were different.
Michelle and Jennifer were out riding bikes to Taos Publeo. Jennifer was mad at her sister so she wanted to think and be alone for 20 minutes and would meet her sister at Keva.  Michelle went into one of the rooms and smoked a joint and fell asleep so she was late to meet Jennifer. Jennifer had disappeared but the bike was still there.
Michelle did not want to call the cops because she was a criminal and had a relationship with Jack from FBI. So called him. Jack was on vacation but she saved his life once and used that.
Jennifer was a nurse at a senior spa in New Mexico. So Jack was asking questions their. Also Michelle had come to N.M. to see her sister and do some business with bike gang. Their is also another bike gang in the aera so lots of suspects.
So Jack calls his partner that is also on vacation and talks him to come help. With some grumbleing he does come.
Jack left his 15 year old home with his father why he was away and the new libarian seduced him and got him to do a lot of things.
Their were prostutes, drug dealers, robbers, business leaders,dr.and nurses saw and heard a lot of terrible things that are out their in the world. But did not put the book down till I was finshed.

Review:Desperate Housedogs by Sparkle Abbey

5 STARS
I enjoyed Carolina Lamont who counsil dogs and their owners.  She goes to their homes and helps train and figure out dogs bad behaviors.  She also has a feud with her cousin their grandmother left a pin to her favorite grandaughter with gems in it. They both think they should own it and go after it in serious way. They are fun to watch.
One customer that Carolina had was Kevin and his two dogs. after she left his house he was murdered.  Detective Judd Malone questioned her they think she was last one to see Kevin.  She realized the next day that her pin might have been lost their so she snuck back in and searched Kevin's house till she found where he put it. She actually picked up a book and took it with her that had everyones names in it with a code after each name.
Caroline started to try and figure out the codes in the book that she copied before giving it to Detective Malone.  Detective Malone kept telling her to leave it alone and let them do their job. Caroline could not stop and she found a lot of secrets that Kevin had written down in code.
It was a good detective book. Had lots of dogs and told a little about each breed.  Caroline seems like a real person with good and bad habits and history with families.  I would love to read more stories with her in it and Detective Malone.

I's a little different romance novel but good. Like to read the other two books in the series.
T.J. MacGregor is a well known artist.  He came to Maine to heal from the tragic death of his fiance Caroline.  T.J. has been at the bed and breakfast for 9 months. He tried to leave lots of times, but everytime he came to the edge of the property he would blackout. T.J. had to be dragged back into the property before he would come too.
Maggie has lots of questions about her cousin Caroline death two years ago.  She was in bad car accident that caught on fire so bad she had to be idea by her dental records.  The painting of Seascape Inn was not burned even a little bit.  The Gallory said that she had stolen that picture the day of the crash.
Maggie for the past 2 years has been taken care of her mother after a bad injury of falling down the stairs. Now her mom could take care of herself she was going to look at Caroline fiance T.J. to see if he had any part of her death.  She saw the painting of Seascape Inn and felt she needed to go their.
First she runs into T.J. at the inn. Then she see's T.J. passing out every day as he tries to leave. Then she keeps hearing a voice to help him. Caroline told him that she had no relatives even though she had lived from 12 to 18 with her aunt and Maggie.
Lots of weird things are happening at Seascape Inn now and in the past. Charming town is full of characters to get to know.

A romantic comedy reunion made for a fun light hearted book with meaning.  I felt good reading and hoping things would all work out. Their were more than one couples story to route for.
Keri Daniels is a writer for a magazine in LA who's boss Tina wants a story about Joe Kowalski.  Joe Kowalski does not do interviews any more. Joe writes scary horror novels.  He lives in his hometown back East close to all his family.
Tina just found out that her writer used to date Joe back in high school 20 years ago and wants Keri to get the scoop on Joe.
Keri wanted to be a writer and famous not loose herself in being Joe's wife.  So she left after graduation leaving Joe behind.
Joe agrees to interview with conditions.  He will answer a question everyday if she can stick it out with all his family on their two week camping trip.  She can not bring phone, computer, camera or any electronic devices.
Keri used to be good friends with Joe's twin sister Terry up till high school when they had a falling out.  Terry's husband had left her 3 months ago, so she is in a trailer with her teenager Stephanie.
Kevin is Joe's younger brother who is divorced now and owns a bar.
Mike and his wife have 4 boys the youngest will be in school this year.  Mike does not want any more kids. His wife does and they are having issues.
Joe's parents have a big RV that they are using and his mom and Keri's mom are still good friends.
I like that we learn a little about more than just Keri and Joe's story. How all relationships change and marriage is work not just the end of the story.  I want to know more about them all and hope to read more about the Kowalski family in the future.
I had a great time readimg about them all.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review by Netgalley.

I enjoyed reading Dead Head. It is the third Dirty business mystery. I now want to go back and read the first two and look forward to the fourth one coming out soon.

Before Paula could except Caroline was arrested for a jail break.  Monica was her real name and when she was a cheerleader busted for selling drugs and got 40 years sentence.  After 18 months she was on a work release job and got away.
Grant Caroline's husband had no idea that his wife had hidden such a thing from her.  Grant hired Paula to find the mystery caller that turned his wife in.
Than Grant and most of the town thought it was Paula herself who turned Caroline and Paula was looseing lots of business. So to clear her name she needed to keep looking.
It was a good mystery that kept you guessing who was doing what and why.

Review:They Stood Alone! 25 men and women Who made a difference bh Sandra McLeod Humphrey

5 STARS
I found this book to be simple and easy to use. It tells about 25 men, and women who made a difference.
I needed to read this. So many facts and information I had forgotten and some people just know the names and others nothing. I was especially bad about the women.
Harriet Tubman all I knew was a slave escaped. I had no idea that she went back to rescue other slaves 19 times and led over 300 slaves to freedom.
Clara Barton I just new she was a nurse. She fought for the right to go to the battlefields and treat soldiers their and saved many lifes. She started American Red Cross. Taught school and helped women to get voting rites.
I enjoyed reading these short biographies about what these 25 people did when everyone said they were wrong they continued on and made life for me a lot better.

Review: Forever and a Day by Delilah Marvelle

4 STARS
I liked it and wants to know more about some of the characters in the book. Did have a couple of love scenes in it.
Roderick was in New York park and tried to introduce and invite Georgia to have coffee with him at his hotel. Georgia was not interested and told him to leave. As Georgia continued a child thief stole her purse and took off. Roderick gave chase and got run over by a omnibus and ended up not knowing who he was, how to shave himself or tie his tie.
Georgia ended up after 9 days in the hospital taking Roderick back with her to her rooms to stay. She knew that he was rich by his clothes and how much money he had on him.  Tried to protect him and his money from being robbed, cut off his silver buttons, took his silk cravat and threw coffee on his face and shirt. Too make Roderick fit in. He thought his name was Robinson Crusoe and remembered being shipwrecked.  In fact a lot of parts of books he could remember but not his name or family.
Has a lot of characters that I am sure they are going to get their own book in the future. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.

Review: Helius Legacy by S. Alexander O'Keefe

5 STARS
Action packed, greed, power hungry, bad guys and good friends.  It never stops or drags. You don't want it to put the book down till its over.
A reporter Richard Steinman working on his own found out about a  billion dollar fraud by Helius Energy and Mason family for decades.
A property that the mason family bought in 1890s would be returned if any minerals were taken out of the land.  In the early 1900s oil was discovered and drilled on the property it has made billions of dollars it is the 5th biggest oil field in US. Carter Mason's grandfather had all the descendents murdered or so he thought.  They also got passed a law that all previous land deeds would be sunset in after the upcomming at the beginning of the year.
Richard was looking and found that their was one heir left, he tried calling and left a message to John Caine. Also called a lawyer friend to know whats going on. When Richard learned that the Helius company learned he was looking into the records. Why Richard left the bar he noticed a guy acting suspicous and communicating to a car. Richard made it to his car and a car chase started. He tried to call Andrea again only to leave a message. He had a package almost ready to mail with Fedx  to get proof to Andrea as back up and was able to throw into a delivery truck of another companie.  Richard was able to do that without the car chasing him see. Then after his tires shot out and he was killed.
Helius has a private security that handles a lot of problems for the international company.  If he needs someone to disappear or be bribed or made to look unreliable. They did what ever they had to.  Their orders were to get rid of Richard Steinman and evidence of the story.  They got Richard's cell phone and reciept for fedx delivery before car exploded.
They learned that John Caine was a heir to the property.  So He was marked for death and Andrea was bugged to find out what she knew and to get the package.
John Caine was up at his cabin when a helacopter woke him up.  On his way to kitchen he saw movement in trees and realized a team heavy armed was getting into position around cabin.  Unknown about John was that he used to be a member of US army. Later John was a member of French Foreign league in a very secret top level assault team.  John was trained and did many top secret missions for USA and other originations. He also had a backpack with weapons ready to go at minute so he figured away to distract team while he escaped on snowmobile.  Then the real chase begins with many cars, helacopter, buildings destroyed ,kidnapping. While John figured out what was going on.
I would read more S. Alexander O'Keefe books in the future. I was very well entertained and into the story.  I would recommend this book  a lot. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

Kerrick plans to make her heal Ryne.  So why he is treating her bad they are also running from the town guards and mercenaries. Trying to convince her that Ryne might be able to stop all the wars and killings.
It has a lot of action, fun, magic, heroes and bad guys. It flows from one action to another but their is also humor, love, friendship and sorrow. We get to know a little about each character a little bit at a time.  I hope their will be more books from this series because I don't want it to end.

Amber is a curse breaker but she pays a big price for it. Each time she breaks a curse she pays with years of  her life. Her biggest one so far cost her 5 years of her life and it also effects her animals and those she has ties too. Amber learned that lesson the hard way.

Rafe family curse is the first male dies by his 33 birthday. Rafe is 32 and has money and plays hard.
Amber tells them she can't help and finally is willing to do their geneolgy and see if she can tell them anything about their family curses.
Their is a lot of magic, elf, drawfs brownies and bad guys and quests.
I really love all three of the brownies and others that bond with Amber and their relationships. I think its the interaction of the characters that makes this a book I did not want to put down.  Hope to read more about Mystic Circle residents.

Annabel, her two older brothers and her mom where on trial for not working the land for the last 3 years. When Annabel father was alive they were rich and spoiled. With her fathers death and loss of his ships they were poor.
Her brother accepted the baliff offer of marrying Annabel forgiving thier debt.
Annabel did not want to marry someone old as her father and would rather she worked their family debt by being a servant for 3 years to the new Lord Ranulf.
Annabel dream was to join a nunnery and be able to study the bible for herself.
Lord Ranulf has scars and injuries from saving a servant from a wild animal. His wife and child died 3 years ago. He is building a big home and brought of workers when he moved to the area. Lord Ranulf also lost his eye in the accident and asked if anyone could read.  Annabel finally volunteered to read to him.  He wanted someone to read the bible to him.
So Annabel got her prayers of reading in the bible.

Every Other Day by Jennifer lynn Barnes

I have to admit that I was moved to tears in a few places. I know its just a book but I find I can't stop them. So the Character changed and developed in a growing way.
Kali D'Angelo was the new kid in school. She did not want to be notice, she was used to being alone. Kali is a normal kid well at least every other day. The other day she is something else. Kali does not know what she is and has told no one. Kali hunts and kills creatures like zombies, hellhounds, dragons and other things that prey on humans even if its against the law. She is stronger, faster and  heals so much faster.
Skylar talks a lot and fast. She took to Kali and introduced her around. Skylar was one of the kids that popular kids picked on.  Even though one brother was dating a cheerleader and was part of the group. She has 5 older brothers. Skylar is also pyschic though her brother Elliot does not believe her.
Elliot is a popular student and doesn't understand skylar not trying harder to get along. He is dating Bethany a cheerleader.
Bethany has a lot of secrets too. She was mean at first to Kali and I thought I would not like her but I do. Her dad in now Kali's father boss. Bethany had a tattoo on her back meaning that she would die that day unless Kali steps in on a day she   is normal. Bethany could quit when she kept going and trying to help I liked  her more.

The book was engageing, action and even a mystery thrown. I would read more of their story if they continued it. I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review.

I have enjoyed all of Bev's books that I have read so far.  They all have to do with horses and horse racing. Their is a mystery to solve too. Some of it I guessed but not all of it.
Becky has worked for three years as a nurse to Martha. The last little while since her husband has died Martha's health as gone down fast. Martha has leaned more on Becky.  In fact she is using Becky as her eyes and ears about her horses and how they are doing.
Becky is shy especially around guys. She was a foster child and got to go to horse camp one summer and loves horses. Becky is getting more confident the more she has to go and interact with others. Plus Martha keeps conning her into different changes, like clothes ,haircut and makeup.
Dino is a ladies man since his divorce, and never plans on getting married again.  He is also Martha's horse trainer. Dino has slept with 6 of Martha's nurses in the year he has been working for her.
The story keeps your attention and draws you into horse racing business, I really liked Becky.

Review:All Fall Down by Megan Hart

My emotions were all over the place with this story.  I think because I know it happens all the time, or at least most of the story.
Sunny is a teenage mother of three in a cult that she has been raised in.  Her mother wakes her and her children and tells hers she has to take the kids now . Her mom has packed two backpacks, gave her some money and tells her her real dad just lives a little away. To take around the back fence their is a whole in the fence and not look back.
At the same time their are lots of sirens and recording of the father calling them all to the chapel. Sunny does not know why her mom wants her to disobey and runnaway with her children.  Sunny has been raised to obey or your punshed.
Sunny shows up at her father's door with three young children in thin and worn out clothes.  Liesel is married to Christopher.  Liesel badly wants to be a mother but Christopher does not ever want children. Liesel is not having any luck getting pregnant and right now she found out again that she is not.  When Sunny shows up.  Christopher has not told Liesel that he did have a child with first wife or at least a possible child.
Sunny has  different beliefs and traditions from always living her life in the cult.  When they find out that all hundred of the people in the compound have committed sucide.  Sunny thinks she must be bad for her mother not to want her to go through the gate by drinking the rainbow punch.  They have practiced many times to take the punch that might kill them so they can leave their vessels and go through the gate.  The other times when it was just practice they did not know if it would be real or practice till it was over.  They were told that the reason was some of them were not worthy and any to confess or report on others who might be at fault.
Too see what life that Sunny lived is hard to take.  The abuse physical ,emotional and sexual everything her whole life is sad.  How she teaches the same thing or starts to with her young children. I had a hard time reading this book, because of the subject matter it is too believeable and well told story.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review by Netgalley.

Could not put this book down. Stayed up reading till 3:00 AM and could not read the last 50 pages. Mind was willing eyes not.
I definately want to read more of L.J. Sellers works.
This is a book in the near future. Major homeless problem.  Lot harder to find a job, especially a job with medical insurance.
Lara used to be a detective and now is paramedic. Less goverment, less police, teachers and gas over 8$.
Lara gets called to a house and treats the man with gunshot wound does want to go to hospital. Says it was his lover because he cheated on him.  He is overseeing the gauntlet in two days.  Lara is in it. So she agrees to not report it but does not want his help to win.
The gauntlet is in its 3rd year.  One person from every state competes in the game. Lara won the competions to compete for her state of Oregon. The winner wins 10,000$ but also wins more Jobs for police and teachers for their state.
The shooter was not his lover and saw her at compition was stalking the Comissioner and killed someone else and Lara is prime suspect.
The story is written from two characters points of view. One Lara's and the other is Pauls a federal worker in D.C.
I really enjoyed reading  rooting, caring  for both Lara and Paul to win.  Lara is strong women who has overcome a lot and still has issues and cares for others. Paul I felt sorry for him.

Review:The Kissing Tree by Prudence Bice

5 STARS
I loved the Kissing Tree it brought smiles and tears but mostly smiles. Clean old fashion romance.
At the start Georgie has been dared to steal a kiss from Ridge under the kissing tree. Georgie got Ridge thier and kissed him on the lips and ran away. Than her and Sammy left to go home. Georgie was almost 13 and she thought she was leaving for a month vacation to her Aunt's house back east.  Then she found out they were not comming back at all.
Georgie's mom has been a widow for a year and could not handle still living on the ranch any longer. So when her sister Cecelia invited them to live her back in the family home she left her in-laws and took her three children away.
Georgiana wanted to come back to Colorado for over 5 years.  Her Aunt Cecelia paid for her schooling and clothes but was cold. At least the last three years she lived at school.  Now her grandma had passed away and her grandfather wrote and asked if she could come out and help.
Georgiana was glad to come home and when the stage coach pulled in and she saw her grandfather for the first time in 5 years she ran to him.  She started to fall and someone caught her.  Ridge was their and started to tease her right off the bat.
Georgiana was surprised to find out he was working for her grandfather as foreman at the ranch. Georgiana had written Ridge and Samantha but neither one had ever written her back.
Georgiana loved cooking and taking care of the house for her grandfather.  She loved being needed. She would paint while the men were out working.  She found Samantha and picked up their friendship fast. Georgie found out that Samantha had written and she never got her letters either.
Georgiana had left a good friend Dawson back east. Dawson wanted to marry her and wrote her lots of letters. Georgiana was still drawn to Ridge but did not think he cared about her even though he kissed her.
Just thinking of this sweet story brings a smile on my face. I hope to read more books from Prudence Bice. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

This is the second book about the town of Virgin River that I have read and enjoyed. I want to read the rest of the books sometime. Thier's a few love scenes in it. Virgin River community is what is ideal about it. They all pitch in and care about each other. Makes me want to be a better nieghbor.
Conner Danson owned a business and worked hard. Conner help take care of his widow sister and their twins. One night he was taking trash out the back of his store when he saw a murder take place.  Conner called the cops and was willing to testify than his store was burned down.
the DA called his sister and hid Conner Danson in Virgin River and his sister in the East Coast. Dan Conner was his new name and worked construction for a job.
Conner was also divorced after catching his wife with another guy and found out their had been lots of guys.
Leslie Petruso moved to Virgin River after her divorce and his remarrage. She was still hurting to see her ex with his wife everywhere she went. Leslie ex still wanted to be good friends with her. So she told her boss of ten years that she was quitting. Her boss got her a job with his son who split off to start his own construction business in Virgin River. Paul Haggerty worked with dad some of the same time with Leslie and was glad to hire her. Paul knew she could do the job and his wife was glad to not do office work for him.
Conner and Leslie both did not want relationships right now with all their baggage. They made he each other laugh and grew closer.
I like the community and how welcome the people of Virgin River were. They helped each other when they saw the needs. I read it without putting it down.

I really like this series about the town of Sweetness was destroyed by a F5 strom.  Only the water tower survived.  The Armstong brother came back home to rebuild the town.  They brought in lots of workers that lived in a bunkhouse. Review:Three- Day Town by Margaret Maron

5 STARS
It kept me interested and guessing the whole book. I like Deborah and Dwight.  I think their must have been other books written with them and I would read them.
Deborah and Dwight after a year of marriage are finally going on a honeymoon to New York City by way of train.  Leaving Dwight son with brother and sister-in-law. They are staying in an apartment for a week while renter is out of town.
Dwight is second in command of the Sheriff's Dept. in Colleton County, North Carolina.  Deborah is a Judge.
Their first day in New York they are invited to neighbor's party in the next apartment.  They where asked by a distant relative to give her daughter a package since she lived in New York. But the daughter was out of the country for a month and left her daughter's phone number. So Deborah called and told her about the package. Sigrid Harald called back and asked what was in the package her grandmother sent her mom.
So Deborah opened it and it was a statue of bunch of men making love. So Sigrid arranged to come pick it up that night and meet them at the party.  When Sigrid and Deborah went back to their apartment the door was open and the statue gone. Dead building super on balcony. with door opened. In the bathroom Deborah was last to use it before they went to party and seat was up and she knew others had used it. Turns out a lot of people kept going in and out of that apartment.
Everytime I thought okay maybe its him someone else dies.  The super Phil's wife has mental problems and she stills little shiny stuff useually animals. Phil is always returning them. She never leaves the building and doesn't talk to others but does clean some of the apartments.
The building has a old elevator that the doorman is sopposed to run at all times, but because their was a party lots of people crowded in hallway ended up lot of people came into the apartment to use the bathroom.
Easy read murder mystery. Likeable characters.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

Is the 3 book in the disguarded heroes by Ronie Kendig.  It is the first book that I have read I believe from her but not the last.  The book had lots of action it also had almost another story going on at same time that was a little confusing but worked out great in the end.  It is a clean romance with human beings making mistakes.
Roark has been kidnapped and held in a Venezuelan rebel army. She been beat up and raped many times.
She was able to escape finally and brought with her proof of what was going on down their. In testimony on the hill they thought she was the traitor and working with General.  Roark father is a US Senator and looking for a run to the White House.  He volunteered her to go back with Special OPS team and get proof.
Canyon Midas Metcalfe was also testifying on the hill but he kept the secrets he was ordered to. About a operation that went wrong in the philippines. He was a former Army Special Forces Group.  Because of what happened he was maybe facing charges and was kicked out of Army.  But he was a member of Nightshade team a Black OPs team. Not even his family knew what he did now.  He was listening at Roark testimony and was attracted to her and she to him.
Canyon brother a member of Coast Guard rescued her out of ocean really liked her and asked her out. While at his parents house at a party Roark got word they wanted to send her back to get more proof she slit her wrist. Canyon a medic sewed her up . They had a few encounters and it was his team sent in to escort her and get proof.

Review:Turnabout's Fair Play by Kaye Dacus

4STARS
It started slowly for me than I got to the point that I did not want to put it down.  I believe this is the first book I have read from Kaye Dacus. I hope to read more from Kaye in the future.
Flannery is moping because her best friend is getting married and her other one is engaged to be married.  She is afraid they will leave her behind like what happened to her when her sister's got married.
Their grandmothers were all moaning that none of their grandchildren were married so they stepped in with a goal of getting at least one grandchild of each of them married. Only Maureen had just one grandchild and Jamie was not interested at the time.
Flannery thought Jamie was stuck up and did not like him.  Jamie was interested in her but tended to be a dork around her. Flannery grandfather Kirby
was comming to visit her each weekend so his church would except his retirement. Because he tried to retire two years ago and church asked him to keep working till they found someone. So he decided to be out of town on weekends.
Maureen met Kirby when he came to church with his granddaughter Flannery and they thought to set up Flannery and Jamie. Jamie noticed how they were interested in each other so tried to arrange them to get together.
Jamie thought he was getting promoted instead their company was sold and his whole department was let go. Jamie was thinking of making some changes and going back to school. Got back with friend who he lost touch with 5 years ago. Jamie asked if Kirby wanted to stay with him on weekends because he had extra bedroom. So they double dated some.
It is a charming story. Its has no sex scenes, talks about church and prayer. Lots of different friendships and how important they are.

Review: A Dixie Christmas by Sandra Hill

4 STARS
Two short stories in one book. Their is a lot of laughter, sex and Elvis in the first story.
Clayton Jessup III just inheritance a hotel themed around Elvis in Memphis, Tennasee. Clayton lives and works back east and can't believe this part he inherited.  The rooms were all decorated around Elvis movies.  His suite was the Roustabout. included cotton cany machine, hotdogs ect.
Clayton was planning on selling the hotel and the empty lot next door.  When he heard animals he looked out the window and saw a living nativity scene on his property included sheep, donkey and real baby.
Annie and her brothers set up the living nativity to earn money they needed for their farm. Their parents died a few years ago and they were trying to keep the farm going.  They needed a new barn roof, money for vet school and her brother just had a baby left for him.
Clayton went to tell them to get off his property but fell and hurt his head and foot.  Then Clayton had a bad reaction to medicines so Annie took him home from farm. They were polar oppisites. Clayton lived in a house with 8 bathrooms, cook, gardner east coast. Annie with her brothers and grandmother and the new baby on farm with one bathroom.
I enjoyed the story but not the sex scenes.
The second story is about Lance Caslow a NASCAR star trying to win his wife back after their divorce 5 years ago.  He did not want a divorce and fought it. He was friends with Brenda since they were 5. had one little girl age 7 who wanted her parents back too.
Brenda still loved Lance but did not trust him with all the pictures of women draped over him. Also after they seperated Lance got drunk and slept with someone else.
Lance asked for help from others and ended up preforming on stage to try and show Brenda how much he still loved her.

Review: Marian's Christmas Wish by Carla Kelly

5 STARS
I stayed up till 3 am was not finshed reading but could not stay awake anymore. First thing this morning had to finsh the book.
Marian is quite the character. She is very smart almost 17 year old. She speaks her own mine, and doesn't let anyone put her down.  She also takes care of wounded animals and makes her own remedies.
Last year her father died on Christmas and he left his property and family way in debt.
Lady Wynswich has written her son Percy to find a rich suiter for his sister Ariadne and bring him home. If Ariadne marry someone rich they could save their home.
Ariadne is in love with local  Vicar Sam. Sam Beddoe  is poor and afraid to face Percy & Lady Wynswich to ask for Ariadne hand in marriage. Ariadne does mostly what she is told to do.
Percy came home from peace talks with two guests, Sir William Clinghorn and Lord Ingraham.  Sir William is not a likable man. Rich though he is. He wants to change everything even Ariadne name.  Lord Ingraham came because he did not want to go home this christmas.  In fact he was burned and scars on his face when the French sunk the ship he was on, while on peace talks with after English torched Washington 1813.
Alistair got kicked out of Eton a week before Christmas and end of the term. Alistair as the youngest and Marian were raised up a lot  by their father so they are outspoken, teases and Mare has free access to all the books. Whereas Percy and Ariadne were more influenced by their mother.
I laughed and cried in reading this story of the Wynswich Christmas.  Everyone seemed to have a plot of somekind going on. I would read more of Carla Kelly's books in the future. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review.

Myles has a teenage daughter. His wife died 3 years ago from cancer. Many women have tried to get his attention but he has not wanted anyone except his neighbor but he wants to go slow their but not as slow as she wants.
Then their is a murder at a cabin in the area and no one is found to have a reason to kill him. Vivian is afraid that the gang who wants her dead has found her again. She was part of witness protection for a couple of years, but when they were found again and marshall killed they went off on their own.  Vivian tries to get information out of sheriff by asking him to fix her fridge that she sabatoged and got wine out too.
Vivian drank to much and asked the sheriff for a one night stand and never again.
Myles can't get her to except dinner or anyother date turns her down because she had too much to drink.  Then another times tries to see her bluff, but than an old boyfriend of Vivian comes to visit and tells her she needs to run again.
Lots of actions, murders and falling in love.  I want Rex to have a story of his own. You want to route for the good guys and hope bad guys are stopped for good.

Review:Twas The Night by Sandra Hill

5 STARS
This was a fun different book. There was three writers writing a chapter at a time about three different men who grew up together at a boys home. They are the best man at a wedding of George a vet who believed in them and mentored them.  They were all trying to get back for the Christmas Eve wedding but the east coast was in the middle of hugh winter storm and all the flights were cancelled.
Sam Merrick was stuck in Philadelphia's airport when flights to Maine were cancelled. Sam is a Navy pilot and a Blue Angel pilot. He was the first to be picked up by the Santa Brigade. Santa Brigade was a group of senior citizens who traveled in a bus visiting homeless shelters and putting on christmas show with presents for the children.  He knows the Santa Brigade members even though he has not been back to Maine since graduating high school. In fact the director was his ex-flame Reba. Sam was excited to see her again especially finding out she was divorced. Sandra Hill wrote the  the Sam's chapters.
Trish Jensen wrote Kevin's chapters. Kevin  who's nick name was JD which stood for Juvenile Delinquent. Kevin was called Juvenile Delinquent a lot in Snowdon by the adults. So his best friends Sam & Stan at the boy's home shorten it to JD. Kevin was a cop for 5 years than a P.I. and part time bounty hunter. Sam was stuck in a train station at Schenectady.  Kevin was after Cassandra Lee Brandt and found her so handcuffed her and ended up taking her too on the Santa Brigade.
Stan Kijewski was a Quarterback for a NFL but recently got in an accident that ended his career. George had asked him to pick up  Dana Freeman on his way to the wedding. Where they were trapped by closed roads, but the santa brigade was able to pick them up. His chapters were writtenby Kate Holmes.
All three guys were   happy to see each other for longer but they also ended up part of the shows.  The senior citizens where a lot of fun. Everyone on the bus ended up helping to give the kids a good show.
I enjoyed seeing all three couples fall in love. They all really enjoyed being part of Santa Brigade.  Made me want to help more than I do.  There was three love scenes that did not have to be thier in so much detail. That was the only part I disagree with. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.

Review: Three Girls and a Baby by Rachel Schurig

4 STARS
It's scary to think your alone and having a baby. I enjoyed Ginny and her good friends Annie and Jen. The story kept moving right along and to advance it. Would have little snippets about stage of pregnacy or what the baby should be doing now.
Ginny had a lot of changes the last year, she moved back to her hometown, broke up with longtime boyfriend Josh, graduated collage, moved in with friends from collage.  Then finding out on one of those visits with Josh whom she still loved she got pregnant.  Ginny did not want to tell him or her parents and kept putting it off until too late. Josh changed his number and moved to a different state with fiance and did not want to see or hear about a baby.
Ginny had to deal with depression over breakup and then fired. Her friends were really their for her as she turned her life around.
I would read more books by Rachel. Liked the dialogs yes some was cheesy but good.  I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review from librarything.

Review: Emmy's Equal by Gruver, Marcia

5 STARS
I really enjoyed reading Emmy's Equal. Emily is fiesty and does not give up.
We first meet Emmy by an old well and she talks Nash into helping her go down the well looking for a hankie she lost.
Her parents and her Aunt Bertha are going on a trip to learn about cattle ranching down to South Texas.  Emmy wants to go visit her friend Charity in St. Louis or stay home while they are away.  Emmy's father William will not hear of her traveling so far or staying home by herself.
Emmy is 21 blond and beautiful living in Humble, Texas in 1906.  She loves her parents but thinks her father does not love her because of his harshness to her.
On the Twisted-R Ranch lives Mrs Katherine Rawson her husband John Rawson owners, their son Cuddy, daughter is Greta. Diego his forman and lives in the bunk house with the other workers. Diego's Mom lives near the big house in one room house.
Before they had guests on the ranch Greta has been flirting with Diego's and Diego's had been thinking to ask her father if he could court her.
Both Cubby and Diego were both taken by Emmy's looks and started to compete for her attentions which left Greta jealous. Diego's mom Melatha was afraid either girl would not be right for her son. Cubby drinks a lot, his father is always holding Diego as an example and wants Cubby to be more like him.
The story keeps you interested and has lots of drama.  Good clean story, has a lot of conflicts with everyone interacting together. Also has some faith but does not throw it in too much.
I would like to read some other books in this series.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest reviews by Netgalley.

Review: SEAL of My Dreams by Stephanie Bond

5 STARS
Seal of My Dreams is an Anthologies with contributers : Jami Alden, Stephanie Bond,Kylie Brant, Helen Brenna, HelenKay Dimon, Cindy Gerard, Tara Janzen,Leslie Kelly, Elle Kennedy, Alison Kent, Jo Leigh,Gennita Low, Marliss Melton ,Christie Ridgway, Barbara Samuel, Roxanne St. Claire, Stephanie Tyler and Loreth Anne White.
All the procedes go to Veterans Research Corporation.
The stories are all different with Seals as the main character some are still in the service and others are dealing with injuries and horror of war.  Some made me laugh, concerned and even cried in some of stories.  I would read a few before bed. This collection of shorts stories about Navy Seals is well worth the time to read them and help at the same time.
One of the ones I cried at a Navy Seal had lost part of his leg and returned to Sweetness, Georgia. His home town was wiped out by a tornado when he was 15. (I remembered reading this book) Barry was at the store when the siren rang and he was one of the few trapped in store basement in the dark.  Two soldiers rescued them. Now people are comming back and rebuilding the town.  Barry is welcomed back and cared and supported by the town.
It just really hit me emotionaly Barry's story.
These 18 stories all have romance in them are about heroes who have paid a price for freedom and wanted to make a difference. I enjoyed reading them.

Review: Brotherband Chronicles bok 1 Outcasts by John Flanagan

5 STARS
As far as I am concerned John Flanagan has another hit series going. It was exciting and drew you in from the first. Did not want to put it down. The only bad thing is wait till the next book comes out.
It starts out 12 years in the past when Erak is still raiding and two warriors are holding off some fighters whill the rest are taking the treasure to the ship. One is killed and he asks his friend to watch over his wife and boy.
Than it tells a little about Hal his mom Karina and Thorn lives. How Hal became good friends with Stig and how he builds his boat .
Then most of the story is about the Brotherband training camp. How their is 3 teams competting to be the best. Wolves led by Rollond, Sharks let by Tursgud and the Herons by Hal. The first two co-captains were picked but no one second the third so the first two teams picked 10 and the ones no one wanted became the Herons named after Hal boat that 5 of them had worked on and sailed with him. They only had 8 to their team.
Right away you want to root for the Herons the underdogs. Tursgud is spoilled and does not fight fair. It build the story very well and you want to see what happens next. See how they come together and become a team.

Review: Alias Dragonfly by Jane Singer

5 STARS
I love how brave Maddie and everyone who was risking their lives for their beliefs no matter what side of the war they were on. Maddie story kept me riveted did not put the book down till it was through.
At the ending are a bunch of study guide questions that help you to think more deeply.  After that is a list of which characters are based on real people. Plus their is a list of books about different subjects of the civil war era.
Maddie was 15 at start of the war. Her mother had died just months before that and her father inlisted in the second New Hampshire Infantry Regiment as a private. Maddie was taken to Washington D.C. to stay with her Aunt at her boarding house.
Maddie could remember everything she saw she wanted to join and fight with her father but no one would let her. While she was out in the city she noticed one of her Aunt's boarders from the south was dressed as a preacher in disguise outside of a famous Rebel's house of Rose Greenhow.
Because she impressed Mr. Webster of her observations she recalled he introduced her to Mr. Pinkerton where she was tested and than trained as a spy.
I hope their are more adventures of Maddie to come in the future. I will gladly read them. It gives you glimpses of what life might be like at that time. Different family members choosing different sides of war to support. Slaves trying to get to freedom and slave traders willing to kill them. Even different cemetaries for black and white. How quilts hanging could tell a message or doll wearing different colors in a window.

I had to wait to read this book for awhile till I was in the mood for it. Then I did not put it down till I finshed reading it. Still want more of the story so I think their will be another story or at least hope so.
Savannah and Tristan got married in 4th grade recess and her best friend where twins.  The next day no one could associate with Savannah and they could not tell her why.
The Clan founding members settled this part of Texas and their were a lot of rumors about them. The Clan families where in leadership everywhere. The Clan adults told their children to stay away from Savannah.  Some of them took instead to teasing her, insulting and pushing her around.
Savannah always knew when Tristan was nearby she would get sick to her stomache.  Tristan could always pick her laugh out of all the noise in school.
They had math together every other day and had to sit next to each other.  Than one day Savannah got really sick and stayed out of school for a week. Tristan tried to find out she was but no one would tell him.
After a few days Savannah woke up and her dad,mom and grandmother were around her bed.  They had to tell Savannah the truth about herself and her dad. Her dad was a vampire and mom a witch. A member of the clan till they were kicked out. The vampire and witches have had many wars and their was a peace treaty but no one wanted the two to get together.  Everyone thought vampires could not have children but Savannah was born.  They had to promise she would never learn magic and had to stay away from the clans.
Each side was afraid she would be a weapon against other side.  So her parents tried to keep Savannah from puberty but now she had to have spells taken off her.  When she went back to school she had changed.  Had to wear new bras and shirts to fit her new body.  Hair color got more healthy, Boys were flirting with her.  She could read emotions.
It was harder to stay away from Tristian. Tristian could not keep attention from Savannah and when boys would become stalking her Tristian learned to make charms for her and  sneak them in her backpack. Everyone was watching Tristian and Savannah making sure they kept apart.
Its a little like Romeo and Juliet but more dangerous all around. I hope to read more books by Melissa. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.

Review:Bring Me Home for Christmas by Robyn Carr

4 STARS
Well this book kept me up to really early AM. I really like the town of Virgin River and how they take care of everyone.  Bring Me Home for Christmas leaves you feeling good and wanting to do more for others in their community. Plus your routing for Becca and Denny to get back together.
Becca showed up at her twin's early in the morning with luggage and gun and told him she was going on his hunting and fishing vacation. Rich Timm told her no its was a guys trip and Denny her ex-boyfriend would be their. Becca told him her Thanksgiving plans cancelled and her parents would not go on their vacation if Becca was staying by herself.  Rich gave into Becca but told her not to ruin his trip.
Becca boyfriend Doug was making lots of plans about them for when he got finshed with law school in Spring. Becca was thinking too much about her breakup with Denny and about him so she needed closure before getting Married.
Denny has found a new home 10 hours away from San Diego in Virgina River a small town in the mountains. He found a family in the community after comming home from war. Six years ago when he was stationed in San Diego Rich brought him home one weekend and for three years Becca and Denny were a couple. Even when he was Irac with Rich. When he got out his mom was facing cancer after she died Denny reinlisted without telling Becca and broke up with her. She did not hear from him while he was in Afghanistan even though she wrote and sent emails. After being home for awhile Denny showed back up and wanted to try again but Becca was still hurt and angry sent him away.
Denny planned a hunting and fishing vacation with three good friends he made in Irac.  He wanted to catch up and have a good time with his buddies even with Rich. He would think of Becca too much with her twin right their.
When Rich and Becca showed up at the bar they were to meet at Denny lost it, Denny got angry when Becca introduced herself to Dirk and Troy and told them she blindsided her brother and would they mind her being their.  Becca was beautful and Dick and Troy flirted with her and told her she was welcomed. Denny lost his temper and was really rude to Becca and was jealous.
First day of hunting ducks she quit early and Denny had to go back to town so took her with him . On the way back they fought and she had Denny pull over. Becca jumped out of the truck planning to walk back to others but she ended up falling down off the side of the road and ended up with a broken ankle and had to be operated on and told she could not travel home for at least 10 to 12 days.
I  liked how Becca found ways to help while she was stuck on crutches and tried to make the best of it.  While she was stuck with Denny they talked about what happened in the past. Becca also got involved with the town of Virgin River and all their service projects doing what she could do.
You cared about the characters and wanted to read more about them, and their town. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

Review: A Touch of Crimson by Sylvia Day

4 STARS
I liked the story line.  But it had too much swearing and sex scenes for me.  The idea of head Angel swearing for me was bad.
Adrian was the head of Sentinels. They were too enforce the punishment of the Watchers or Fallen the Vampires.  They had strict rules when they could kill the fallen and when not. Adrian had fallen in love with the lead Fallen's daughter Shadoe. Her father was in the process of bringing her over to be a vampire but Adrian killed her rather than see her become vampire. Because she was half human and have angel why her body died her sole lives and comes back every so often. Her father still wants to bring her over to vampire. Adrian is still in love for with her. Shadoe never remembers her past and she always looks different. This time she has been gone 200 years.
Lindsay is now the host of Shadoe soul.  Her mother was killed in front of her at age 5 and she can tell when someone is not human and kills them.  Lindsey is drawn to Adrian and goes with him. Lindsey killed a demon in front of him so Adrian told her he was a Angel.
The watchers became the fallen because they fell in love and had human families. They became Vampire and lost their wings.
Some of them became shifters who were bound to serve and protect the Angels but they lived and had children and died. They want their freedom some of them. Elijah is an alpha and their are many trying to get him to rebel and lead them.
Elijah is also Lindsey's bodyguard and friend.  Lindsey saved his life. I really like Elijah.
Their are a lot of story lines that kept getting me messed up. I really want to know what happens next because their are so many lines that continue. But the F word too many times and confusing different lines not sure if I really want to invest in this series. Did enjoy most of it and I probably will read at least one more.

Review: Marrying the Major by Victoria Bylin

5 STARS
I enjoyed reading Marrying the Major. It was a clean romance with humor. I liked how Caroline Bradley faced up to her fears, she was very independant.  Caroline loves children and she did not think at this late that she would remarry and have a family.  So she was going to be a nanny and borrow children to mother.  Caroline has some fears but she is also strong minded.
Major Tristan Willoughby Smith was a major in the British Army.  He is a widower with two small children living on a ranch in Wyoming.  Tristan wife died of Malaria and he has had it off and on for months. Tristan is also the third son of a Duke who does not want his kids to be raised by his father if he dies.
Miss Elizabeth Bradley is a nurse that Tristan also hired to take care of him.  She is the older sister and never been married.
Tristan has been waiting days for the stage that the sisters are on plus his quinine medicine that he needs.  He found that the bridge is out and  Jonathan Tate and the major ride out to see if they can find the stage. Find the ladies and his medicine.
He finds them when Caroline steps out pointing a gun at him.  They have their first disagreement than.
It is good to see how Caroline cares for the children even when its not how the Major thinks it should be. Caroline helps the Major to get closer to his children. Caroline has to learn to get over her fear of horses and how to be the future wife of a Duke and how to stand up to the Duke and his pears when they visit them at their ranch.
I would love to go read the other books in The Women of Swan's Nest. This is the last of the series but the first I have read.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review by Netgalley.

Review: Haunted on Boubon Street by Deanna Chase

4 STARS
A good book to read the day before Halloween.  A good ghost or two haunting two ladies.
Jade had just moved from Idaho to the French Quarters in New Orleans.  She is teaching how to make glass beads. She sales them on the internet and got a job waitressing at a coffee shop part time to make ends meet.
Her boss is Pyper. Pyper partner is Kane and he owns the building and the strip club next door.
Pyper is also being haunted,  Pyper still strips when they are short but mostly she manages the strip club and cafe.
There is pleanty of connections to each other in the story and more connections wanting to be made. Kane is eyeing Pyper but he is close with business partner Pyper. Jade can't keep her eyes off Kane.  Their is Ian who is trying to gather evidence of the ghost.  Pyper ex from Idaho is now in New Orleans living with Pyper best friend Kat.
This has lots of characters that you want to know more about and what their talents they have. The title also has book one so maybe their is more to come or even here.  If so I would like to read it. I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review.

Kelly flies into town plans to sign papers and leave that same weekend but she found out a little about her dad and somethings about herself.
Like I said its short only 130 pages but it packs a punch, Its romance with fishing and lake Winnebago. I enjoyed it except for my crying.

Review: Beauty and the Werewolf by Mercedes Lackey

4 STARS
I liked Bella and how she thought, did not give up. When I first reading I thought it was a version of Cinderella then red riding hood or Beauty & the Beast. It makes sense when you get into the book why it had different bits of different fairy tales.
Bella has a step mother and two younger step sisters. Her father is a business man. Bella has run the house since she was 10. She is very intelligent and likes to care for others. She is learning about healing plants from her Grandmother in the woods.
Bella gets taken and made to stay with the Duke Sebastian for at least three months. She is upset but makes the best of it and doesn't mind telling the Duke or others off. Bella finds ways to make herself useful and learns a lot of new skills.
I don't want to ruin the story surprises by saying to munch but did enjoy them. The story keeps my attention and would read more books from Mercedes Lackey. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley.

Last night did not want to put book down by 1:00 AM had hard time keeping awake, so I cheated and went and read the last chapter than I could sleep and not think this guys bad oh maybe this is what happens.  Than first thing this morning read the rest of the whole book.  Still not guessing all of it even though I knew ending. So it has a lot of suspense, mystery that keep you guessing all the way to through.
The story opens with Anna Pallino just closing the ice cream parlor she works
at. Anna is 16 and her boyfriend Dante not quite 18 comes in as usual with his 3 foster brothers to get ice cream. Some happens and Dante leaves that night and disappears.
12 years later he is back because foster mom Elene asks him to come for her 25th wedding anniversey.  Dante has only kept in touch with his foster parents not even asking any questions about his brothers or Anna.
Dante. Gabe, Roman and Jeff had been best friends and foster brothers till that night.
Now that he is back a crime has happened  at the same place just like it had that night. Dante has a lot of secrets and does not tell anyone where or what he has been up too the last  12 years.
Anne is now a police detective in charge of the scene. But they never reported about the crime 12 years ago. She still has panick attacks and hides them from everyone.
Roman is a cop too. Gabe is now working for the  Mob rides a motorcycle  with lots of  tatoos. He left the same night as Dante been back 2 years. and Jeff is a insurance agent. They all are still protective of Anna
I hope Gabe gets his own book and we learn more about him later.
The Characters are good and you care about them and want to know a bunch more of their lives. It is emotional and I cried a few places.  It is good story their is some love scenes and viloence.  But it keeps keeping you on edge.
