Review:Black deeper than Death by M.E. Purfield

3 STARS I liked the story idea, the characters but hated all the profanity. So I would rate a lot higher except for that. Miki Radicci is a 16 year old living with her grandfather and friend. She is an artist makes a lot of money. She drinks way to much. She was made an adult from the state. She is psychic and feels the violence around her. She is on the street when she felt someone stabbed to death. The police questions her about the death. Miki wants to find and stop the man who killed Kathaleen and herself in that dark alley. The killer knows who she is and sends email to her. Miki meets a rich collage student after the funeral for Kathaleen. Christopher and the next day he shows up at her art showing. The story has a few surprises that I did not see. I like it that way. I was given this ebook by author in exchange for honest review.

Review: Zero Visibility by Sharon Dunn

4 STARS I liked this fast paced book. I had many start and stop on this book because my town was evacuated for fire. I had to take my kindle. I liked the characters especially Nathan & Merci. Merci is putting herself through collage. She works for 1 year and than does a year of collage and than over again to work. Her parents are not going to be in the country for her break. She failed a class & her car broke down the week before school was out. She is looking for a ride to her Aunt's place and Lorelei offers her a ride to where she wants to go. Lorelei knows a shortcut through the backway but winter storm is here and she drives off the side of the road. When she goes to start the car it won't start. While they are seeing what they can do to get it unstuck a car with two guys come around. They put the girls in thier car which is on and heater is working. They open the car hood and trunk and Merci can't see what they are doing so she gets out. One of the guys is going through her bag. He sees her and pulls a gun on her. Then the other guy pulls a gun. Nathan was up to his family cabin saying goodby before he has to sell it and the ski resort and summer camp. Nathan is on snowmobile and sees the guys pull the gun on the girls. He races down and knocks one down and gets the girls to jump on behind them. He takes the girls to his cabin and calls to the sheriff that the girls were robbed by two gunman. After the girls are warm they try and make it down the mountain in his four wheeler and have to turn back. The phone does not work and roads are too snowy. Lorelei for some reason goes outside amd Nathan goes after her and gets knocked out. The gunman takes the snowmobile and Lorelei with him. Nathan and Merci try to find them and rescue Lorelei with his knowledge of the area. The adventure keeps going on the whole book. Lots of surprises in store for them during the spring blizzard. Lots of questions that finally get answered towards the end. I would love to see Nathan's twin get his own book. Thier is nothing in the book that needs a warning for. EVACUATED FOR FIRE

Been watching the fire outside my window since sat but today my whole town of Fairview got evacuated. Not a good time to be without a working car. This has been a big fire before today over 100 buildings and they think of those 25 to 30 houses destroyed. 1 death of someone who did not get out when they said too. They were hoping to get exact count but had to do more evacues. we are a small town but fire is on at least two sides and a new fire up the canyon got started now . we need rain. woodhollow fire they are calling it.

Her Cowboy Distraction by Carla Cassidy

4 STARS I liked it. Like the characters and would love to see more about them in the future. Part of the mystery is still unsolved the other part I really had no idea and was surprised. Its a quick read. Thier are a few love scenes. The story was quick paced. Daniel Jefferson comes into the cafe every friday night that Lizzy Wiles has worked in the cafe. Daniel orders two pieces of peach pie and a cup of coffee. He puts the pie on the other side of the table as if waiting for someone. He does not look up at the door just looks sad. Lizzy was tolld to go on break and she did something unuseal she sat down by Daniel and started talking to him and ate the pie. Lizzy even told him she liked apple pie better. Daniel sat thier stareing at her and then just got up and left the cafe. Lizzy felt terrible and went and told her boss what she had done. That is when Lizzy was told that Daniel and his wife came into the cafe every friday night and ordered two pieces of peach pie till she was killed in a car accident 18 months ago. Two women died in that accident. The next day all Daniel thought of was lizzy sitting down by him and smiling, talking to him. That next friday night Daniel came in and ordered 1 apple pie and 1 peach pic. When Lizzy came over to apoligize to him, Damiel interrupted and said he got apple pie for her. Most of the workers at the cafe live in little cabins in the back of the restraunt and one day Lizzy was asked to go get Candy she was late for work. Lizzy knocking hard on the door, it opened and she walked in and found Candy sitting on the couch with her throat slit. Later a couple of days after work Lizzy was on her way to her cabin and she was attacked and threatened. He was chased off when another waitress opened her door to talk to Lizzy saw and screamed. Lizzy was let go. The story was engaging and I hated to put the book down to keep answering the phone. I look forward to more stories about Grady Gulch, Oklahoma. Review:The Last Single Maverick by Christine Rimmer

3 STARS I liked Jace and Joss. It takes a lot of nerve to go on the honeymoon without the groom & marriage. Jocelyn Marie found her groom to be in a closet making out with her bridesmade cousin. Jocelyn threw her ring at him and called of the wedding. Joss decided to still go on the honeymoon by herself and figure out what to do next. He decided to go to the family reunion first in Montana. He thinks thats a big mistake because everyone wants to talk about him staying with the company if not in texas than the new branch office here. Jase knows he does not want to be in the oil business any more. He has not even dated for over six months. He escaped the reunion to go to a bar in the resort that only has one consumer at the bar. Jason goes to sit at the bar and over hears Joss on the telephone telling Kenny to stop calling her. That the wedding is off. Joss and Jace strike up a conversation and Joss tells him she is not going to sleep with him. Jace says just want to talk. When a one night stand from a year ago tries to draw Jace back to the reunion Joss pretends that Jace is with her. Review:Leaving Lancaster by Kate Lloyd

3 STARS It was a good story but for some reason I just did not feel connected to the characters. This was clean read not swearing or sex scenes. Deals with real problems. Esther Fisher gets a letter from her mother whom she has not seen since she was 16, when her and Samuel ran away from home. Her mother is in her 80's and wants to see her. Esther needs to tell her daughter the truth she has hidden for all these years. Holly Samantha Fisher at 37 has just lost her job. Holly has never married. Esther tells Holly that her grandmother is still alive with her uncles and family. Esther wants Holly to travel with her from Seattle Washington back to her Amish relatives in Lancaster. Holly can not believe her that her mother has been hiding that her relatives were alive. She wonders at what other lies her mother has told her. Did her dad really die during Viatnam. Esther runs an Amish goods store in Seattle, but she buys her products mostly from Ohio not the area she grew up on. Esther has raised Holly all by herself. She was born after Samuel went MIA. She feels guilty for the death of her husband because if they would have stayed and been baptised than he would not have been drafted. Holly finally agrees to fly with her mom to Lancaster and meet all the relatives she did not know she had. She always wanted a grandmother. When they are in a rental car Holly finds out her grandmother has no idea that they are coming. Her grandmother does not have a phone but her menonite neighbor does so they call her and she invites them to stay the night with her. Holly feels really close to Beth and meets her single son who is a vet. Zach. Esther has been jealous of Beth and Beth has had bitter feelings toward Esther . Grandma Anna is so glad that they have come especially when in a little while the whole family is going to move to Montana to buy land. They have sold this farm if they accept the offer. It shows you a slim glimmer of what life is with Amish. Deals more with issues of family and thier secrets, forgiveness, love Christ. Just dealing with regular family problems that come up in life. Review:Everything to Me by Simona Taylor

3 STARS Everything to Me is a spicey novel set on a island Tobago of the caribbean. The plane is full of people going to the Jazz festival. One person on board is not happy to see was Trent Walker music producer. Dakota Merrick last year wrote and broke the story about his top preformer being on drugs and getting someone else to really sing at her concerts. Then they were at the same party and Trent called her names about what a sleaze reporter she was. Dakota threw her glass of red wine on him. They are not friends. Dakota after waiting a half hour for her ride from her hotel is wilting in the heat. Trent comes up and asks her whats wrong. He lends her his phone to call the hotel and she finds out that she was not confirmed to coming and they dont have room. She tells Trent she will be fine and goes into the airport to call other hotels. Trent rental car is taking forever to be ready for him and its dark before his car his ready. He is driving away and sees Dakota out on a bench by herself. He stops and again asks if he can help and tells her he is staying at a cabin with two rooms. she is welcome to one. Its called Rapture adult only resort. It is don't need swimsuit for pool. rooms have jar fulls of condom, couples massages. Its full of x-rated items. Their is lots of sex and sex talk very little about the jazz. I guess I wanted more conversation than sex talk. My favorite part was taking the kids to dine with them instead of just giving them a dollar. It has mysteries, romance, caring community, no sex scenes or swearing to make me cringe. Loved the characters and can not wait to meet the others brothers & see why it happens. It looks like thier are 5 books in the series by 5 different authors. Violet Colby's come to the big city of Fort Worth, Texas to see if she can find who and where her father is. She stops first at a coffee shop she needs the caffine to help her think what to do next. Violet is sitting by the window looking out when A guy comes in and starts to talk to her in a rude way. Violet thinks this guy is crazy and tries to leave and he grabs her by her arm. She has no idea who this guy is. Finally he realizes that she is not Violet and asks her to give him 5 min. to explain. Landon Derringer makes a call and tells who ever is on the phone that he might have the answer to the letter she got awhile ago. To come to the coffee shop right away to meet someone. Landon tells Violet to wait till Maddie comes. Maddie is still mad at Landon when she walks into the coffee shop and stares at Violet. Violet stares back at her in shock. Except for hair and clothes they are the exactly the same. They figure they are identical twins. Maddie dismisses Landon and invites Violet to her apartment to talk. Violet tells Maddie that her mom is in a hospital in a coma and she knew she was born in Fort Worth. Violet looking at a picture on the wall and asks who the younger guy is. Maddie tells her thats her big brother. Violet gets her phone out and shows a picture of her big brother Jackson. They are the same another set of identical twins. Bet on a Cowboy by Julie Benson

Review: Bet on a Cowboy by Julie Benson 4 STARS Bet on a Cowboy was fun, warm hearted , silly and sad. It was a fun quick read. Thier is some sex scenes that I skipped over. I would read more from Julie in the future. Maggie Sullivan is the director of Finding Mrs. Right. They have to find a new bachelor in just 2 weeks. They decide to try for Rory McAlister but found out he was married but he had a single good looking brother Griffen McAlister. When Maggie called him to offer him the role he hung up on her, in fact twice. Maggie does not give up though so she flew to his ranch to explain he was not interested till she told him that he would be paid 3,000 a episode a total of 30,000 dollars. That got Griffens attention. He was willing to listen to more. Griffen was a rodeo bull rider till a car wreck injury made him quit riding. Since then he only worked on the ranch as a ranch hand. His mother was fighting cancer and Her only hope was a expensive treatment that was expensive and not covered by insurance. For his mom he could go on tv and make a fool of himself to pay part of the expense. Griffen thought that if he picked someone who would turn down his proposal that way he would be able to keep his word and could not be sued. He figured that if one he chooses won't want to live on thier ranch it would work. Griffen was full of charm and got away with lots because women would fall over to help him. Maggie was not going to give into Griffen especially when he would use his charm. Maggie knew she was a plain looking women. She was teased so bad in school she gave up trying to look good. She was thinking of becoming a single mother. She did not trust Griffen's flattery at all. She was starting to like him too much if she was not careful she could be fired and sued. Griffen thought Maggie had beautiful eyes and was enjoying her company more and more. He thought the women who were on the show were all alike. Not too smart even the lawyer asked dumb questions. Late one night Griffen and Maggie slept together and the condom broke. Both new that they could not afford to get caught and that one night was a big mistake. Because Griffen had to propose to one of the ladies or be sued. He had already spent the money. Then things got even worse for them. Review:Mariah's Quest by Dianna Crawford and Sally Laity

4 STARS
I was afraid that I wouldn't like Mariah but I do.  She grew up and I was impressed with her. Now
thier is Lily story to read hopefully soon.
Mariah was sold into bond to a handsome young man and taken to his family's plantation.  He did
promise her older sister that she would be safe.
Colin did not have good intention in mind first but he was taken with her beauty.  He told his mother
that he was thinking of his sister's and thier wish to be taught at home instead of away to school.
Mariah played music instruments, spoke French, had lovely handwriting, and good to sums. So Mariah was soon the teacher for 3 young ladies the youngest 8.
Mrs. Barclay did not like her and made sure that Colin did not spend much time at all alone with her.
Even sending her son on a long trip selling thier horses and going to England to buy more stock for
thier horses.
Colin while over in England looked up Mariah's father and let him know the girls made it safely to
America and bought an engagement ring for Mariah that her father even made.  He also went with her
father to hire a lawyer to handle his sueing the estate for payment of jewelry that he made for them.
Mariah was a vain and self centered at first with dreams of marrying rich but as she faced trials she
grew and turned more to prayer.
You do get to see and hear from Rose and her family a few times and finally hear a little about Lily.
I was fasinated from the glimse of George Washington when he was younger.  also learned a little more
what life was like at the times.
This was a good uplifting book to read this sunday afternoon.  Did not want to put the book down.
Now I really want to see what happens to Lily. Find out if thier father and brothers are doing okay and whats been going on with them next.
I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

Review:Antiques Disposal by Barbara Allan

4 STARS This is my first book of Trash to Treasure series I have read. I liked it but did not really connect to the characters. Sometimes it was charming. Sometimes silly. With two different writers made it interesting. I did not figure out who the killer was and why he did it. Vivian Borne is the mother-grandmother who buys the auction of a storage contents for her business. She has been a widow for decades. Had many men through the years. Her oldest daughter Peggy Sue just became a widow and found out that she was in debt and had to move back in with her mother. Brandy Borne was divorced and moved back with her mom-grandmother the last 2 years. I guess in a previous book found out that her sister was actually her mother and her father was now a Senator. She joins in business with her mom-grandmother selling stuff they find at a booth in antique mall. So Vivian and Brandy win the bid on the contents of a storage unit. Vivian cheated and made people think it was full of mice.(threw chocolate sprinkles around). They have 24 hrs to get contents moved. On the second trip to the storage unit they found the rest of the unit was stolen and owner dead body was left in it. When they finally get through with the police that night thier house was broke into. Peggy Sue was knocked out and Brandy's blind dog was kicked and stopped breathing. Thier old cornet was stolem from the music room. The cornet from the storage unit was in the garage. So why was the cornet stolen. This is the 5th book in the series and does stand alone but I think it would be better if you have read the previous books. Review:Promise Me a Rainbow by Chery reavis

5 STARS Well I laughed, cried and smile through the book. Thier are some sex scenes & swearwords in the book so beware. Catherine Holben saw gnome in the front of a window at a store by her bus stop. She ended up buying it. The store owner asked if she could give the man who had to sell them her address. He did not want to part with them but he needed the money. Catherine agreed. Catherine is a nurse who is teaching pregnant girls how to take care of thier baby now and when they came in the future. Catherine husband divorced her because he wanted children and she could not have them. Her husband John still wanted them to be friends. Even invited her to his wedding. While she was yelling at her ex-husband for leaving her because he wanted children. A man and his little girl were outside her apartment and heard some of the fight. The man turned to the little girl and said lets go. He told her now was not a good time to talk to Ms. Holben. The little girl wanted just to give her his business card. He said no. The man dropped his daughter off at home and went back to work. Fritz the little girl waited for her Joe to leave. She then went and got on a bus a stop away. Then she rode another bus and got off at the apartment building. Fritz went up and knocked on the door. She handed the business card to the lady. Catherine invited her in. She was cold and wet, so Catherine put the afgan around her and let her the see the humble figurine that she had named. Finally Fritz gave in and called her brother but her dad Joe was home. Joe wife died when Fritz was just 2.Fritz was the youngest of three at 7. Della the oldest 16 Charlie at 15. Right now his business of construction was slow right now. Fritz called Joe by his first name a while back he doesn't know why she did. Fritz told Catherine all about her and her family. That she called her dad Joe so he would not die on her. Fritz tried not to be any trouble. She loved the figurine and had voted to sell them when they had a family meeting. Joe could not believe that they meant so much to Fritz but he really did not have a choice at the time. He agreed that Fritz could come and visit the gnomes when Catherine invited the little girl. Fritz is a cutie. Della is a spoiled brat. Charlie is usually in his own world. Sasha the 13 year old who is one of the pregnant girls in Catherine class. You just want to hug her. I liked the story and cared about the thier world and what happens to them. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 05/07/2012 PUB Bell Bridge Books

Redemption of a Hollywood Starlet by Kimberly Lang

4 STARS This is a fun romance. Thier are a few sex scenes that I skipped over. I enjoyed the story line and the characters. I did wonder if Finns brothers had books with their story. Caitlyn Reese has been working and taking acting classes thier for the last few years. She wants to make a comeback. Her parents are stars in thier own rights. Before she ran away to London she used to date Finn Marshall. Thier lives were too much in the spotlight. They partied a lot together and were not good together. Finn comes back to his movie and finds the actress he hired had to be let go and Caitlyn was the new hire. Finn thought Caitlyn would have come back after thier last fight but she never did. He is not sure that she is right for this part. Finn'a family is famous in the politcal scene. His grandfather Senator Marshall. He is not close with his father the senator. The Hermitage House Miracle by Malcolm Ater

5 STARS I had to give it 5 stars because I got so emotional in a few places. Cried lots of tears, sad tears, joyful tears. So yes I got lost in the book and cared about the characters. I liked the characters. The children who opened their hearts to the new orphans. The Sisters who took care of the children and loved them and worried about them. Jamie is brought to the orphange after his mothers death and when they could not find any family for Jamie. Jamie loved having his own room. He never had his own room or a bed so nice. Jamie is 12 year old boy. He was used to moving every six months to a year. He would write letters to his friends giving them his new address and he never got any letters back. Antonio was a little younger than Jamie and had the room next to him. Antonio was showing Jamie around. They promised they would be friends forever. Starting that first night Jamie began dreaming of a little boy with freckles and green eyes and someone who was calling him son. Sometimes the dreams would have a little girl,a mother and a dog named Scout. The sisters told Jamie that they were just dreams. They worried about his dreams. Jamie had never had friends to play with after school, never went to parks, fishing or anything. With Antonio he fished, played with and came out of his shell. Jamie still had dreams all the time and they seemed so real to him, but he did not tell anyone except Antonio about them any more. I liked the story but could have done without the tears. I would read more from Malcolm. Thier were some twists to the story that I did not expect, some that I did guess. It was nice to hear about an orphanage that cared about the kids. Though it did have problems and I still wonder about them. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley. 05/26/2012 PUB Blue Ridge Mountain Books Acorn Book Service

She takes care of her the best she can. Everyone is surprised to see her daughter, even her Aunt did not know about her. Though one look at her face and lots of people guessed who the father was. Clay keogh owned a ranch with his mother. He brought a lot of horses that were on the way to be canned dog food. He works on the side shoeing horses and floating their teeth. A Smudge of Gray by Jonathan Sturak review

3 STARS i am so tired of foul language. I remember the saying that swearwords show a lack of creative words or something like that. So thats why I only give 3 stars. Sorry the more books I read with so much strong language the more intollerance I have. Detective Brian Boise is handed a new case of a serial killer. Brian is up for a promotion. Brian family is getting tired of his always at work and never takes the time off. He promises to go to his sons game and than does not make it. Trevor Malloy is a hire killer. His family believes he is a business consultant. He has twins girl and boy. He spoils his family with material things. The two men are on a collision course. Both love their families. Thier are twists that I did not expect. Thier is quite a bit of drama in this book. I was given this ebook to read from Librarything. Pendan Publishing; 1st edition (January 31, 2012)

Review:Courageous by Diana Palmer

. 4 STARS Peg Larson is determined to catch her boss Grange. She is only 19 been kissed once but she knows what she wants. She tries flirting, suggestive talk, talking about collage. Peg is his cook and her father is his manager. Its a small ranch that Grange's boss gave him after he rescued his wife. Pegs talks all about her experience since she had sex at 14. Which got Grange kissing her hard and scared her. Grange realized that she had been lying to him. Grange asked her to the Cowboy ball dance. Peg felt like cinderella with all her borrowed clothes. Grange was leaving the country to lead a rebel army to put the displaced leader back on his Presidency. They only had a small army but they hoped they could use some of the people who were loyal to the President Emilio Machado. Arturo Sapara took over the goverment when the President Emilio Machado was out of the country making deals and trade agreements. Arturo prisoned and killed a lot of people who were protesting against him. Closed churchs, tv channels and all but a few newspepers with his people in charge. He is also addicted to drugs. Grange has had a rich journalist that has been chasing him for months she even followed him to South America to record the coupe. Grange shot her down really hard this time and told her that he had a innocent girl who works for him that he was going to marry when this was all over. Clarisse has been over taking her medicine and not thinking to clearly. She was angry that Grange had turned away from her. She was going to get Peg and leave her in the jungle here and than let Granger know but not where she was. Clarissa used the excused that Grange wanted to see her and she owed him a favor and Peg just left with her without telling her father where she was going and with whom she was with. Thier is a lot of drama, a lot of people coming together to deal with those who are taking advantage of others. I liked the story. Thier was a few love scenes at the end of the book. Review: The Wrangler by Lindsay McKenna

4 STARS
I enjoyed reading the Wrangler.  Had strong characters, western romance and bad guys.
Griff McPherson has moved back to Wyoming after living in New York since he was 6 years old.  His parents died and his uncles split up Griff and his twin Slade. Slade was raised on the family ranch while Griff was raised in the city with money.
Griff lost all his millions in the stock market problems and decided to come home to the ranch now that he was broke. When Slade years ago had asked Griff for a loan to help get the ranch out of trouble he said no. Griff feels bad about that now and realized the pride he had than.
Val Hunter was back home in Wyoming where she did not want to be.  Her grandmother had health problems and asked her to help with the ranch.  Her father Buck was abuser he beat Val and her mom. Now both are dead and her grandmother owns the ranch. Val got out of the intelligence business in the airforce on family hardship discharge.
Gus had sold her ranch when her husband died and moved in with them on the ranch to stop Buck from abusing them when she found out what he had done to them. Gus wants to get the ranch fixed up and then turn it over to Val when she is ready for it. Buck had let it get so run down.
Griff is recommended to them as a hard worker. He does not have all the skills to be a wrangler but he is a fast learner and hard worker. They are only paying him min. but he gets room and board included. Plus he found that he really likes being back in Wyoming and working with his hands. He has a MBA from Harvard which also helps get the ranch on track.
Griff is working hard to make amends to his brother. Plus he feels guilty with the part he had in the econimic hard times.
I always enjoy reading Lindsay McKenna stories and will read more in  the future.  I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

The Unholy by Heather Graham

5 STARS
This was the most entertaining of her books. I really liked it.
The ghosts were the best part.
Alistair Archer was all by himself in his dad movie theater watching old movie one sunday. His father has a old theater that shows old movies and its closed on sunday. Thier is a tunnel that runs from the theater to his adjacent studio where they make special effects for different movies. they sit on two acres next too very old cemetery. Down in part of the tunnel is set up old movie scenes a museum. Some of the time you can go from one building to another but security is tight when they are working on blockbuster movie.
Alistair is surprised by a actress who says the door was open and begs him to let her see some of the props maybe help her get a small roll.
So Alistair let his girl talk to let him in through the tunnel. while by the scene of the movie they are remaking he sees that the locked door is open and hears Jenny scream and as he turns sees her get her throat sliced and runs slips in blood and knocks himself out.
The police arrest him for the murder of Jenny since he was alone with her in locked building.
Eddie Archer calls in some favors and gets a FBI special group to come in and help. The first one he calls his a old special effects employee that is part of this Krew. Sean Cameron does not believe Alistair would kill someone either.
Eddie also asks his employee Madison  to take Sean around and show hims the changes since he worked thier. Eddie told Sean that Madison is like him special.
Madison sees ghosts but a lot of time she does not realize they are dead until someone else wonders who or what she is talking about. Eddie saw her a couple of times talking to know  one at the cemetary. Madison since she was real young learned not to let anyone know she sees people that others dont see.
In fact she saw an actor that looked like Humphrey Bogart and had a nice  talk with him till she realized it was really him. In fact Humphrey Bogart ends up living with her and watches old tv shows.
Sean after taking Madison to the morgue goes back to her apartment and sees Bogie and talks to him. Madison has never told anyone about her ghost and had never met anyone like her. Sean also asks what Jenny told her at the morgue.
Infact most his group of FBI agents can see ghosts. Jenny likes that she is not alone and they believe her.  Madison had someone sneaking around her place and Bogie was able to set off her car alarm scared someone off and woke Madison up.
Since the FBI agents can see the ghosts Bogie and Jenny help to try and find out who killed Jenny and how they got in and out of locked building.
Thier are some love scenes. and some scary scenes in this book.

Review: Bane by Trish Milburn

4 STARS Wow! I want book 3 now. Was not ready for it to end. Bane is the second book of the Coven series. The first is White Witch and the third is Magick coming out in sept,2012. Bane takes off just awhile after White Witch. Jax and Egan have left thier friends in North Carolina and are in Salem. Where it all started looking for answers how to stop thier Covens and how to control the evil within them. Jax is not finding out much searching at the library but she does come across the librain who is a little too helpful with asking again what she is looking for. Jax also meets a boy her age Rule who says he is doing homework. He shows her a map with names of who owns it at time of the Witch trials. Jax and Egan are feeling hopeless that they can't find anything. Then they see Rule go into a herb shop and follow him inside. They are offered a drink of tea that makes them sick especially Egan. Later that night they break into the herb shop for answers and find Rule's mother and grandmother. Who are witches but have no power. But they have a library of information in thier basement that after they test them show them. They are willing to see if they can help stop the covens. Thier is a lot of drama that keeps you on the edge of the seat and doesn't quit. Read it in one sitting. Rule is willing to be more to Jax but she can't get over the love she feels for Keller. Jax misses Keller and her friend Toni. Egan has a computer to alert them if anything mentions Keller and Toni's name. When they show as missing Egan and Jax are torn for they left to protect them and now they were gone missing. If you read and liked White Witch you need to read Bane and then you will wait for Magick. They are good books to read. Bane is fun, powerful,no sex scenes or swear words. Full of magic and choices we all make all the time to do whats right or whats wrong. to be selfesh or unselfesh. What they are willing to fight for or die for. I don't want to give away anymore of the story and lessen the tension for you. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 06/01/2012 PUB Bell Bridge Books

Review: Hunters Prize by Marcia Gruver.

4 STARS story starts 1904 It made for a nice sunday read. It was also a clean read, no sex scenes or swearing. Just an old fashion love story. The characters were loveable especially Ceddy. Cedric Whitfield a little boy who became an orphen in South Africa. He has a disorder that today would probably autism. He does not talk, let people touch him. Has fits but loves rocks and really knows them. When Ceddy finally gets on board a boat to take him to Texas. Thier escort Denny Currie & Charlie Pickering 2 rough guys find that the glass was cut and they realize that one of his rocks is a big diamond. So they hurry to follow him to Texas because they want his diamond. Addie McRae decides she wants to take the job in Texas she hears about and her mother escorts her to meet the family. Pearson Foster from Galveston, Texas is teasure hunter he has been looking for Jean Lafitte buried treasure with no luck. His good Theodoro benardi goes with him. He hears of a sunken zhip the Mittie Stephens that was full and had lots of gold for payroll but it caught on fire. everyone died about 20 feet from shore. Marshall. Tx. in 36 years no one has found her. So they decide to see if they can find her. Miss Whitfield has never married. She agreed to take care of Ceddy if anything happened to his parents. Mariah McRae and her daughter Addie traveled from Camton, Mississippi and when they got to Marshall Texas off the Train with their luggage two men offer to carry thier luggage. Which were Pearson and Theodore they joined them for lunch and then helped them to get to Miss Whitfield's house. Preston wrote to Mrs. McRae when he went to visit them and found she had already left for home. They had enjoyed each other company. When Addie heard that he had come to visit her mother and then wrote a letter to her got the impression that he had fallen for her mother. She was not happy at that idea. Theodore convinced Preston to go to church with him. Preston has been mad at God for five years since he lost all his family in a hurricane. Durning church his heart softened. The Preacher touch his heart and welcomed him. After church they found Ceddy hiding under his bed and he had bruises on his arm like fingers and a cut under his chin and very frightened. Miss Whitfield was afraid the Preston might be the one to hurt him. Thier was a lot of rushing to judgement against Preston from people around the town. Somethings were stolen and they were the new ones around town. The story moved along at a good pace and I did not put the book down till I was finshed. I believe this is the 3 book in the series but the only one that I have read. I would not mind reading the others sometime in the future. The Golden Flute Adventure of Lilli and Zane by Catherine Lanigan

4 STARS
What a fun adventure book. Love Lilli & Teddy characters.
Lilli is not afraid to be different. She decides to wear different costumes like she is a french one day. She is in high school and the only friends she has is Zane and Teddy who live next door. Though they all walk to school together Zane pulls ahead of her so other kids don't see her with him. Lilli's mother was murdered years ago. Her father and mother traveled all around the world finding artifacts and legends. Her father is in Cairo and will meet her in London for her spring break.
Teddy is 8 year old genius who takes cares of his family. Getting them up for work & school. Lunch money out even for his parents.  Reminds them of things when they have to go out of town.  He loves Lilli
Zane is 15 and Teddy's older brother. He likes Lilli but is embrassed by her at school. He is on lots of sport teams and popular and Lilli is picked on. They live next to Lilli in Texas. They have spent every spring break together except this year. Lilli is going to London with her nanny/housekeeper.
Zane is grounded and has to take Teddy everywhere with him. Thier parents are away at a conference.
Her father is in danger. Lilli has a dream that seems like her mom is telling her something and she tells her dad about it and what she discovered about the gold flute her mom sent her the day she was murdered.
Two different groups hears that Lilli has the flute and will take it with her to England.
After Lilli heads for airport Zane and Teddy see some people break into her house and room. They think Lilli is in danger and decide to go to London to keep her safe. They make it on same flight but don't let Lilli and especially her nanny see them on the plane till they get to London airport and tell them about the break in.
The three kids sneak away and get to meet her moms old friend and other places by themselves to solve problems.
I did not want to put the book down. Can't wait till the next book. It is a story that tells about some real history but it blends into a fantasy with Evil men killing and stealing to gain power and riches. Others are willing to do anything to save lives. Thier are magical powers that are used.

The line Between Here and Gone by Andrea Kane

5 STARS
Since I have read Twisted I have enjoyed being a fan of Andrea Kane.
Her newest book does not disppoint.
This is the second book of Forensic Instincts that I have read.
F.I.  is Casey Woods dream.  She has gathered together a team
of investigators who have different skill sets that work together
in a different way than the authoritys can.  Casey is a profiler
and lives on the top floor of the building.
Marc Devereaux is a former FBI and Navy Seal very
skilled and doesn't mind bending rules.
Claire just joined the team after working with them on the
kidnapping case.  She is psychic.
Also new after working with the kidnapping case is Retired
FBI Special Agent Patrick Lynch. Patrick does not like
to break the law and joined the team to bring order.
Ryan McKay is techno genius and strategic whiz.  He
builds little spy robots has very complicated computer
system down in the bottom floor.
They all work well together and solve their cases.
Amanda Gleason has a one month old son Justin who is
fighting for his life and needs a bone marrow transplant to
survive and he needs it fast.  Amanda can't do it and her only
relative is not a match.  Justin father Paul is the best chance
to be a good match, but Paul was murdered before she even
knew she was pregnant, or so she believed.
Amanda was sent a photo from a cell phone from a good friend
who knew Paul and saw him down in Washington D.C.
Amanda took the picture and went to F.I. to hire them to
find Paul and help her save her sons life.
Marc was the only one thier and took the case instead of
waiting for the whole team to gather and decide.
With Ryan's software they believe that Paul is alive but
they don't know if he faked his death or someone else did.
is he criminal or honest & scared.  They are determined to
find him no matter what gets thrown in their way.
The drama and suspense is good you don't know who are the
good or bad guys all are till the end chapters. Justin has so
many setbacks and problems.
I look forward to more stories from Andrea in the future.

Review:Old Loves Die Hard by Lauren Carr

5 STARS Well now this week have read all 3 Mac Faraday novels and have really enjoyed them. They are full of twists and turns you might guess some but you won't guess all its secrets. They are clean as in no sex scenes or any vulgar langage but a lot of murder. This book Old Loves Die Hard is the second Mac Faraday novel. Mac is enjoying a visit with Archie and his half brother David when his ex-wife knocks at his door drunk asking for a second chance. Mac does not want another chance after 20 years of marriage his wife kicked him out of his house. She got the house and he got the credit cards bills he did not charge. Then right after he was told he inheirited millions when mystery writer Robin died. Mac was her son that she gave up for adoption 40 years ago. Mac took his ex-wife up to the 5 star inn he also inhierted to check her into. Mac found out at that time that he actually had his own penthouse suite that only for his & his guests use. Before Mac could take her up his ex-wife Christine took off when she saw the guy who she left Mac for and lived with till her money was gone Stephen and had a yelling fight with. After Mac took Christine up to the suite made arrangement to have breakfast with her in the morning when she was sober. When she was not down to meet Mac for breakfast he went up to get her and found Stephen dead and then he found Christine dead in the tub. Even with Mac working as a homicide detective for 20 years he made many mistakes before he called the murder in. Mac was now a suspect in the death of his ex-wife and her lover. It was a media circus that the murder took place in a 5 star inn in the owner's private suite who just inhierited millions 3 months ago. David the new Police chief is also Mac half brother though they just met months ago. David won't answer Mac's phone calls. Mac finds out some of whats going on from the man who is in charge of security. The more they find out why Stephen was here and staying at Mac's inn the more questions they have. The more they find the more dead bodies show up. Someone even takes shots at both David and Mac. Thier is humor in this mystery and part of it is with Mac's dog that he was left. Very smart dog who was a thief. I am sad that I have read all the Mac Faraday mysteries that are out. I look forward to reading more in the future I hope. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 04/26/2011 PUB CreateSpace Acorn Book Services

It Murder My Son by Lauren Carr

4 STARS This is the first Mac Faraday Mystery. It's the second one I have read this week. I have found a new writer I like to read. Her Mysteries have lots of angles and lots of bad guys but thier has been lots of good guys too. In It's Murder, My son Mac Faraday just got divorced. His wife of twenty years as left him for another guy she was having an affair with she got the house and he got her credit card bills that he did not know about. After the divorce a lawyer came up and told him that his birth mother was famous mystery writer Robin Spencer and she died and left him a fortune. A 5 Star hotel & restraunt too. Mac quit his job and moved to the town of Spencer where Robin's family was named after. Where also a policeman was his half brother David lived. Mac found out his father died 5 years ago and he was the Chief of Police. So Mac did not know who or what his parents did also became a very good Murder detective for over 20 years. with his mansion came a smart trouble making dog named Gnarly and a guest house with Arche living in it for her life. Arche was his mother's editor and also helped do her research for her books. Mac found out his mom only had Gnarly for a little while because his owner was murder two houses away. Her husband did not want the dog and would not pay the vet bills after he almost died after his mistress was murdered. The story kept me up way late untill I could not keep my eyes open and finshed first thing this am. It has lots of humor along with all the mysteries going on in the story. Its entertaining. I guessed some of the answers but by no means all the answers. I badly wanted to go to the end and cheat late last night but I did not give in. Mac is not used to having money and what it can buy for you. I wished to find out more about his grown kids. Maybe in the next book that I read of his. If you like mystery story than I recommend you read Its Murder, My Son. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 06/28/2010 PUB CreateSpace Acorn Book Services

Shades of Murder a Mac Faraday Mystery by Lauren Carr

5 Stars Shades of Murder is a great mystery story that takes place with more than one set of detectives investigating a case and how it all melds todgether. It kept me guessing all the time. I did guess a small part but no where near guessing all that went on. This is my first Mac Faraday Mystery and I think I am going to buy some of Lauren Carr's other books today. Thier were no sex scenes they showed the couples together but thats all maybe a kiss or waking up alone. I really like that at the beginning the story she has cast of characters, who they are. So if you forget who that person was you can flip to the front and be able to place the character. Which I did at one point. The first story took place at Deep Creek Lake, Maryland sept 6,2004 with David O'Callaghan as one of the Officers who worked the case before it went cold. He is now chief Police. Ilysa Ramsay was the victim and married to a rich rocket scientist that had a lot of defense contracts. Mac Faraday's just inheirted a painting that was stolen when Ilysa was murdered and sold to a fence to a Mob boss. So Mac wants to solve the cold case. Mac's half brother is David. Everybody is excited about the painting showing up thats leads to some clues to what happened the night of the murder. Joshua Thronton Hancock was asked to go to a prison to help a serial killer Oliver who was found guilty of 6 women's murder but everyone thinks it was 7. Oliver wants to do some good before he dies. He wants Mac's help to solve who victim #4 was and who murdered her because no one was looking thinking. Because everyone believes he killed her. Mac believes him and will do it for victim #4. Mac who is on vacation he is a proscuter asks for files on victim #4 but Lieutenant Sherry Bixby does not want him to look into it. far as she is concerned its a closed case and kicks him out. Detective Cameron Gates who worked the case slipped him the files behind Sherry's back and was willing to work to solve it they never did believe it was Oliver but a copycat. Cameron sees something that helps open that cold case up. Thier are a lot of unanswered questions in all 3 cases that become opened and lead to other questions. Its a fun mystery like the characters and the animals that are a hoot too. I want to read more books like this one soon. I was given this ebook to read in exchange for honest review from Netgalley. 05/15/2012 PUB Acorn Book Services

Review:The Lost Curse by T. Lynn Adams

5 STARS This was good adventure story. I knew some of the history but learned a lot that I had no idea about about what happened in my state years ago. This is second book with a couple of the same people as first book. I did not read it but now I plan to. Severino is from Peru and is flying into Utah to visit Jonathon and his family. Severino I guess saved Jonathon life twice when he was in Peru. Severino was part of terrosist group trying to find the guy that killed his father Both boys are in thier teens. Jonathon wants to take him camping around Hell Hole canyon by Kanosh, UT. where his grandma and good friend Tallie live. Tallie is a year older than Jonathon. She is Paiute Indian. Her father disappeared when she was only 8 years old. She is a waitress and plans to spend time with the boys when she is off work. On Severino plane was also a older gentleman who wore expensive suit with a butterfly ring. He was doing business the whole flight his name is Cole. Also on the plane a few rows behind Severino and Cole was Ryan he was spying on Cole with his phone. Ryan hates Cole and has plans to take his revenge on him. Both Cole and Ryan want to find the gold mines down by Kanosh that the Spanish explores had found and used Paiute Indians as slaves to mine and killed a lot of Paiute Indians. Ryan actually found a spanish turtle rock that was marking the way to the treasure. Severino and Jonathon while camping actually found some spanish artifacts and knew not to take them anywhere. So they took picture with cell phone and buried them but marked the spot and sent pictures to Jonathon dad for him to see and tell them what it is. His dad showed the picture of spanish mine stamp to others. Both Cole & Ryan group knew right away that the boys had found Spanish artifacts that might lead the way to the mines. The book keeps you involved in the story waiting to see what happens next. Thier is nothing you have to worry about your children reading this book. No sex, no swearing. I really enjoyed it and did not want it to end. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 07/10/2012 PUB Cedar Fort

Blazing Midsummer Nights by Leslie A Kelly

3 Stars I have to admit that I skipped over a lot of the book because of all the love scenes in it. It really fits the Blaze line of books. To me I really did not connect to the characters very much. The story line that Mimi Burdette works in the advertising for a chain grocery stores for her father. She is dating Dimitri a guy from work to make her father happy. She is thinking that tonight is the night they would sleep together and than thought oh I need to wear sexy underwear so she goes into her room to change. Xander was just moving into the old house and his apartment and locked himself out and he had taken off his shirt. So he goes to the party outside for the landlady gives him a key to a secret door of the patio through the closet to his room. In the closet he hears voice talking about would he like her sexy underware? and then saw her naked from the waist he trips and ends up looking at her from the floor. They end up sharing a passionful kiss. Mimi goes back to the party and forgets her plans for Dimitri. Xander has just moved to Atlanta from Chicago to be a fireman. He has lost both of his parents within six months. He keeps rescueing Mimi. Mimi's father wanted a boy but all he got was Mimi. He is oldfashioned and doesn't think a women can run a business and does not respect Mimi. Warning again lots of sex scenes not much plot around them making love. Review:Threat of Darkness by Valerie Hansen

5 STARS
Samantha Rochard is a nurse is in ER when she hears sounds coming from the curtain area so she looked and saw thin boy with a gun doctor on the floor. Samantha called 911 and dispatch new her voice.  She went into the room and new the boy and talked him into trusting her to help the little boy. Give her the gun.
The cop that came was her old boyfriend that has been gone for the past 5 years.  He wanted her to go with him. She wanted him to stay here with her. Lots of hard feelings.
After working till midnight as she was walking to her car her purse was snatched and told where is the package that the gunman gave her.  John was waiting for her to get off work so they could talk and chased the mugger and got her purse back.
Then eveytime she turned around something else happened to her or her property. Even with the cops around and in police parking lot.
They did not know why things kept happening to her and who was doing it.
Besides being a nurse she was also childrens advocat and turned suspected child abuse in.  One case that she was worried about was a 7 year old boy.  Who the doctor did not believe his friend would do that. Also the police did not think he would. The second time he was brought in the doctor admitted him and they were working on getting paperwork to keep him from going home right away.  The father and the doctor were arguing in the childs hospital room when John stepped in and as he protected Danny from a hit he was knocked out and his gun stolen from him.
The story was good. It did talk about prayers being answered and praying for help. No swearing or sex scenes but their was violence but not a lot of gory details.
I would like to read more books like this one. It kept my attention, had lots of action & drama.

Yesterday's Stardust by Becky MelBy

4 STARS
I admit to listening to the book on my kindle and sometimes I got lost for a few seconds as it switched back and forth from the 1920's to 2012. If I was reading I would not got lost as often.
One thing I loved was the questions they ask you at the end makes me think of the story a little different way.
Dani is a reporter for a newspaper and gets involved in her stories. While they are discussing story ideas she gets a phone call from a teenager she interviewed a few months ago China. China is mad that Dani told her to leave her abusive boyfriend and she did. Now her boyfriend shot himself because she left. China blames Dani.
Dani goes back to where the shooting happens and realized China was taken in for questioning by the police. After the cops left the apartment Dani went in and then realized it would not look good if she is caught their. She is worried about China.
She decides after dinner at the Italian restraunt across from China's apartment to stake out the apartment from her car.  Dani finds a journal from the 1920's
The story goes from the 1920's to now and how the people are going through some of the same problems.
Nicky is a chef at his family restraunt that has been in his family for  generations. He is also the manager.  He calls the police because he thinks someone is drunk or dead parked in front of his restraunt in a stolen car owned by Vito.  Dani had fallen asleep in the car that she borrowed while hers was getting fixed. The policeman is Todd Nicky's cousin.  After they called Vito and he confirmed that he loaned Dani his car they let her go.
Vito and his wife had Dani over for dinner and set her up with Todd but also was Nicky and his sister Rena was their.
Francie was raised on a farm in the 1920's. She spied on her father and his business of selling moonshine.  She wanted to go to Chicago and help her sister with raising her nephew. Her parents were keeping it a secret that her sister Suzette wanted her help. Francie saw two of her dad customers in his barn while he was gone and decided to help them with buying the moonshine and when she over heard them saying they were going to Chicago she asked if she could go with them. They said yes if your ready to go in 15 minutes.
Francie age 15 went with them and found out they were crooks and was almost killed. She had to do what they said or else they could kill her or her family especially her nephew. Also was given lots of stuff so she could play certain roles they wanted her to play. Francie could not figure a way out of the mess without having to leave her nephew and sister their.
back in the present Dani is looking to help China. She knows about the gang she is in. She also finds out that Rena is in a gang and feels trapped in it.
Nicky has no idea his sister is in the gang. Dani shares the journal with him but they only read in order no skipping ahead. Nicky wants to date her. Todd wants to take Dani on a ridealong and show her the neighborhood. Dani and Evan her cameraman go undercover. They are both Christians and Dani decides she wants to help the kids more. She does not let anyone but Rena know she is moving into the now available apartment across from the restraunt.
The two stories come together really good and you get drawn in Francine story and want to know what happened to her did she ever get out from the mob?
Can Dani help Rena, China and some of the other teens or are they stuck in the gang for life.
I really enjoyed reading Yesterday's Stardust and look forward to reading more books from Becky. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley.

A Secret Disgrace by Penny Jordan

4 stars It's sad that this is the last Penny Jordan novel. I have read her books for years. She passed away on Dec. 31,2011. She will be missed. Louise Anderson is trying to get her grandparents ashes buried in the graveuard of the church of Santa Maria. It was thier last wish. Louise has not been back to Santa Maria since 10 years ago she had shamed her family and they were asked to leave thier rental. Her father whos attention she has always tried to get said he was done with her. Her mother too did not want her. They wanted to get rid of her baby which she would not do. Her grandparents welcomed her and helped her. Duke of Falconari Caesar remembered her well and knew she had not forgiven him since she never answered his letters 10 years ago. Louise was surprised to hear Ceasar had recieved a letter after her grandfather died telling him he was a father and how good a mother was but her son needed a father figure in his life. Caesar asked if it was true? and when she said yes but they did not want anything from him. The Duke demanded a DNA test and if she tried to leave the island he would stop her taking his son. Thier are some love scenes in this book. I like Louise she admitted her mistakes than she got over them and made a good life for her and her son. Also feel bad about the way certain people treated her. I would like to go back and read the Penny Jordan books that I have missed sometime in the future. Review: Valley of fire by Janelle Tayor

4 STARS The story of the Valley of fire has a lot of mistakes they are always jumping ahead trying to out figure the other person so they don't risk thier hearts. They also have people trying to hurt someone because of jealousy. Kathleen Alexander is visiting the Valley of Fire when her car breaks down and her jug of water is empty. She passes out in the middle of the road. Steven Winngate was riding his motorcycle on his way to a business meeting when he almost hit the car in the middle of the road. He could not wake the blond and he figured out the car was not working. So he locked up her things in the trunk and tied her to him on his bike to take her to get help. Steven finally came upon cop car and flaged them down and told then where he found her. They asked for his id and thought he was not The wealthy oilman. They also saw his gun in his boot so they cuffed him, when he got angry at them. Before they could get him to the jail they found out he was telling the truth. Kathleen also goes by the way Brandy Alexander writer but she does not like to tell people who she is. The ER Doctor comes on to her and she says not. Review:Exiled by J.R. Wagner

4 stars Exiled is a about a power fight, prophecy, magic and the boy it all falls around. This story jumps all around in time and place. I listened to it on my kindle and sometimes got lost because I did not realized it had jumped again. So I recommend just read it, don't listen to it. The story starts in 1989 in South America during a hearing. James Lochlan Stuart IV is on trial for murder. He is found guilty and sent to the Never. No one comes back from thier. James wakes up and has none of his powers and is in a strange and dangerous place. The 3 chapeter takes place in December 1894 England. the last chapter takes place in June 1626, Ireland. Akil Karanis wants to find the person who the prophecy says will save their people. For many years the ones who do not believe in magic kill those who do. While thier laws prohibt fighting back. The prophecy says the fourth of the name with strong magic will save them. James the third is told about it and shown the world of magic and tells him his son will be the one it speaks of. So James third learns magic so he can teach and protect his son. Anyone can learn magic if they believe in it. They can use this powder to go to anyland that they have been before. You can transport to a place you dont know. This tale is good but I hate when you finsh a book and the story is not done and you have to wait for it. James when he gets to the never he meets the people that have been banished to thier and when they hear his name recognized him as the one who can save them. No one can drink standing water without dying. They can't travel across the ocean it spits them back out or they drown. There are a lot of different creatures and dangerous plant life. But they believe James can change that. In fact they build a small boat and have him sail across the bay and he survives and give the people hope. So they build a bigger boat so a group and can try and gather the things they will need to leave. Thier is so many unanswered questions that I want answered. Oh well I will have to wait for the next book. I was given this ebook to read in exchange of honest review from Netgalley. 05/05/2012 PUB Greenleaf Book Group

Review:Always in My Heart by Kayla Perrin

4 STARS You never know what a person is feeling or why they do something without asking and being honest yourself. I liked Always in My Heart the first book about 3 sisters who have been away from each other over 8 years ago. A lot of the Hart Sister's problems are thier mom dropped them at her sister's and told them she would be back soon. So far they have not heard from her since she abandon them. Callie Hart has just arrived to her Aunt's funeral she has not been back for over 8 years, She only saw her Aunt & Uncle when they came to visit her in Florida. Now it was too late see the women who raised her and her sisters. She has not seen her sisters either. Callie was the oldest and when her sisters were feuding she was in the middle and they were making her choose. At the time she was having problems with her boyfriend and she was pregnant and did not tell anyone for awhile. This past week Callie and her son were in a car wreck after being forced off the road. Callie knew the time to tell her son's Kwame father about his son. Detective Nigel Williams was surprised when his old girl friend appeared on his door step. He had loved Callie and was hurt when she ran away. He did not want to let her back into his life but finally invited her into say her piece. Never expecting she would tell him that he was a father of a nine year old boy. Nigel wanted to get to know his son. Callie is glad that Nigel and Kwame can start building a relationship and accepting each other. Nigel wanted to be a good father but he was so hurt and mad that she kept his son away for 9 years. Thier are a lot of drama going on with Callie reconnecting with everyone. Her sisters and thier fight. Her Aunt's death and finding out thier mom might have left them for a good reason. Thier are a few sex scenes in the book that I skipped over. Did enjoy the book and can not wait for the third sisters story and hopefully they can learn more about thier mom. Review: Surrender my Heart by Kayla Perrin

4 STARS This is the second book of three about the Hart sisters. But I read it first before I realize that. So I know what I will read next. The story line of what happened to thier mother has been in the first two books and I bet it will continue in the last book. It was not the main focus of the book. Natalie Hart is the youngest of the three sisters. They have not talked to each other for years but I guess in the first they came together for thier Aunt's funeral that had raised them after thier mom left them. Now Natalie gets a surprise from her husband that they are now divorced. She is shocked they seperated only two months ago and this was the first she knew he wanted a divorce. He was a professional basketball player and had an affair with her bestfriend. Now he divorced her and proposed to fiance that same day it was all over the media. While out shopping as therapy she saw a reporter outside a store talking to someone good looking and found out he was a professional football player. A little while later trying to avoid the same reporter she bumped into him Michael Jones. Michael did not mind her running into him and started to flirt with her but she brushed him off. Noway she wanted to get involved with another athlete. Later they were both asked to help out on a chairity event and Michael kept asking her out every time they met. Natalie has a hard time not comparing him to her husband and quite a few times jumped to judgement against him. Michael had never been so attracted and worked so hard for someone attemtion. He admits he was a player but he was single but he had changed after his mom was in a bad accident. He wants to be thier for Natalie if she will let him. I can see why Natalie was having a hard time getting over a marriage in just two months would be hard. Especially with all the other factors going on in her life. No wonder she did not want to get involved with anyone let alone a athlete. Thier was a couple of love scenes that I skipped over. Thier was a lot of the book that was fairy tale romance, plus the mystery of her mother and why had their never been any other family besides her Aunt & Uncle. It kept my attention from the start. It is a quick read. Can't wait to read the first book in the series and the third one comes out in June sometime. Murder takes time by Giacomo Giammatteo

4 STARS BUT ONLY READ 20% because of a lot of bad language, sex scenes & violence. Okay without all the swearing in it I would have finshed the book. I was getting more uncomfortable as I was listening to the book on my Kindle. I decided that finshing a book that was bugging me more & more was stupid and I love books had plenty more to read. I love the writing, the characters, storylines. It was drawing me into the stories. It jumped from now to the past trying to figure out what path brought them to this point. The cop was trying to figure out who the murder was and what the clues left for him personly meant. Like I say if you don't mind the swearing its a really good story. I was given this ebook in exchange for honest review from Librarything. Publisher: Inferno Publishing Company; 1 edition (April 15, 2012) 421 pages
