Priscilla the Great:The Time Traveling Bullet by Sybil Nelson

5 STARS

This is the sixth Priscilla book I have read and have
enjoyed all of them. I was excited to read this one
when I knew it was coming out May 1.  So I was really
glad to read it early. In fact I read the day I recieved
it.
At the ending Bring on the Pain Priscilla was shot and
then she disappeared.
This one she wakes up naked, confused with a bullet hole
still bleeding.  She heard music that her brother was always
playing she followed to wear a bag was hidden in a tree
with clothes in her size.
Priscilla realized she was only a few blocks from home.
When she tried the door it was locked for once.  She
knocked and a strange girl about her age answered and was
wearing her shirt.
They did not get along especially when they had the same
name. Her mom came and after a few minutes realized it
was her best friend 25 years older Tai and she was married
to her brother Josh.
Thier are a lot of different things she has to get used too.
Priscilla even goes to school with her niece Priscilla and
runs into Xi.  Xi has the gun and she wants back to change
the past. Priscilla tells her her mom Tai has the only bullet.
So only 1 can go back but they need to work together. But
noone trusts each other.
Thier is a lot of action, drama and some humor as the future
and past change. Now I have to wait again for the next book.
This is a fun book that all ages can read and enjoy.

Aunt Dimity and the Village Witch by Nancy Atherton

4 Stars
I remember reading some stories about Aunt Dimity and Lori awhile ago.  I would love to reread them all.
This is a detective story and a treasure hunt from the past. No one was murdered but I got involved in the hunt and could not wait to see how it all ended.
The town of Finch in England's West Midlands like to gossip about each other and spy on one another.  So when someone new was moving in everyone watched to see what the new comer wore and what she was moving into her cottage.
The tearoom had big windows and had a good view of the cottage that Mrs. Amelia Thistle was the new widow who bought the cottage. The tearoom was full of villagers waiting to get their look when she pulled up in front of her cottage.
Lori was sharing her table with Charles Bellingham and Grant Tavistock. After seeing Mrs Amelia Thistle arrive Charles and Grant hurried out to their own house without waiting to see what was moved into the cottage. Lori followed them and they told her that was not her real name. That she was a famous painter and had a following of crackpots who developed a religion around her art.  She could not go anywhere without bodyguards they even bought property in her gated estate to camp out to stalk her.
Lori the next day went to welcome her with a box of cookies and a breakfast casserole.  She was welcomed by a hungry, confused lady. Who took her into the kitchen saying she was starved. Had not found her dishes and the stores where closed last night before she got food.  Lori fixed her tea while she ate and help clean up front room. Then she asked if she was really May the famous painter.
May was disapointed that someone saw through her and recongized her from the first day.
May explained that she moved to town to finsh her late brothers work of find a secret manuscript that was discovered the first page in one of the cottages years ago written in latin from the 1700's. Her brother translated the first page and the author was the preacher of Finch at that time.  Thier was a drawing that was a clue to the next page of a manuscript.
Lori said tomorrow she would help her find out more and keep her identy a secret.  Other neighbors were coming to welcome her and Lori suggested that she have them shop and unpack for her and get settled in for today.
Lori has a relative from the past leave her home and money but also a journal that a ghost of Aunt Dimity lived in and wrote her part of conversations in. Aunt Dimity recongized the drawing and sugested that they look at the painting in the old church tomorrow for the next clue.
The story is engaging as more and more of the town get involved in the search for the missing pages and they learn what happened to the witch at that time when witch trials were going on in the 1600's.
May's crazy followers show up in town and try to find where she lives now.
Its a fun hunt to find the truth about the rest of story. I will read more from Nancy in the future.

Review: The Prophet by Amanda Stevens

3 STARS
This is the third book in the series. I have read the second and now this one.
Parts of the story I got lost in and understand it all. Which could be because I did not read the first one.
Amelia Gray restores cematarys and sees ghosts. She has pretended not to let them know she can see them or react to them. Her father warned her to never react to them.  But the first book she did something that changed the rules on her.
She fell for Devlin in first book but all of the ghosts around him draineed her. His dead wife, hated her with a passion and actualy pushed her down.  His dead little girl wanted Amelia to help her some how and would hold her hand. Another ghost wanted her to find his killer so he could move on.
Devlin does not belive in ghosts. He really misses his daughter.
Their are talk about different powers like voodue & rootwork things I don't understand.
Even though Amelia talks about her love of Devlin thier is not  much business of them even being together.

She walked 31/2 miles to the farm and after picking all day walked back to the town. But she was happy to be able to support her children better.
Tom had been away from the apple farm for 10 years, 4 years of school and 6 years as a marine. He was home to stay at  the apple farm. His grandparents raised him. Tom was ready to get married but he did not want
one with baggage.

Review: Baby's First Homecoming by

4 STARS
This is the third book in the series that I have read and like them.
It opens up with Sierra  Powell coming home for her brothers double wedding, and bringing the son she never told them she had.
Sierra was alone and depressed and gave her son up for adoption under pressure and they gave her back her son three weeks ago.
Sierra thought it would be safe to bring him home because the father of her son was married and lived in Texas, or so she thought.
Her family was glad to have Sierra back and threw her a surprise home party. Everyone was surprised when Jamie started crying at the noise of everyone shouting surprise. Jamie being a little over 1 and just gone to his mother 3 weeks ago did not do well with others.
Clay having gone in business with her brothers, divorced and got over thier family feud was thier for her welcoming back. Figured out fast that he was the father.
Thier is a lot healing and forgiveness on a lot of the different characters in the book.  When different people learned what had happened in the past from other point of views.

Nikki Youngblood is out drawing in the woods when 4 big dogs or wolves she not sure but they are scary and chasing her. When Mace rescues her. They don't know why the 4 hellhounds were sent to kill her. They are just to protect her but not be seen by her.
After the second time they rescue her she figures out who or almost what they are anjd tracks them down in thier house.
Raven,Mace & Vine are all big goodlooking teens and are now in Nikki's school. Thier have wings and can fly, fast ,strong.
Halflings are not supposed to love humans because it falls into Lucifer plan.
Mace is really falling for Nikki she likes him but also likes Raven even though they are opposites of each other.
It deals a lot about choices we all make lead us to one side of the war or the other. We all have to choose for ourselves.
It will be interesting where the next book in the series takes them.

Review:Talisman Of El by Alecia Stone

4 STARS
It will be interesting to see where the rest of the books take place. Talisman is a three book storyline. This does stand alone.
Talisman of El is hard to describe its an adventure, children, YA,fantasy, mythical and even a little Religious.
As the story unfolds I was lost for awhile but it all unfolds a little at a time.
The story starts with Derkein in New York finding his father getting into a safe  and telling Derkein he caused a earthquake in Brazil. When they are attacked but he can't see anyone and then he is knocked out.
Then it switches to Charlie waking up from a Nightmare with his foster father thier in England. Charlie has been an orphan since he was 10 years old now he is 14 he has lived with Jacob a week and hope this time it will work out.
At school he becomes friends with Alex. She stands up to the bullies to.
I don't want to say much more about the story lines. But Charlie & Alex meet a lot of intersting characters and learn that Charlie is different.
Its hard at time to tell who the good characters are and who not to trust its is a complicated story line and I look forward to reading more.

Return to Grace by Karen Harper

5 STARS
I was really into this story.  I believe this was second book in this series. Now I want to go back and read the first book.
Hannah Esh  has left her amish home a few years back after a fight with her father the Bishop and after her long term boyfriend who told her he got someone else pregnant and was going to marry her.
Hannah was back with friends on halloween they all are goth and are at a amish cemetary after they had broke in a closed corn maze. A couple of her friends where dancing around the cemetary and drinking and it just happened it was on Seth's wife grave.  Hannah was upset and homesick when all of a sudden shots where fired at them. Kevin was dead and tiffany shot and then she realized she was shot.
While she was on her cell to 911 Seth heard screaming and loud music as he was going home from hunting and even recongized Hannah voice talking.
Seth quickly found Hannah and wrapped her wrist to stop the bleeding and then stopped Tiffany's bleeding with preasure bandage.
The Bishop and his wife did not live far from the cemetary and when they found out Hannah was wounded her mom got in the ambulence with her. Hannah thought she could die after seeing her parents and Seth.
While Hannah was in the hospital her mom stayed with her.  They were going to take her home with them.
The sheriff and FBI were waiting to talk to her about the night.
Hannah was so a shamed about the trouble she brought home to her family.
FBI agent Link was interested in Hannah.  So was Seth he never stopped loving her and felt guilty in his part why she left to go out into the world.
This was full of drama finding dead bodies and people where disappearing.
Hannah was trying to solve who killed her friend. Seth was trying to find out what was happening and trying to protect Hannah.
