Kiss Me by Susan Mallery (Fool's Gold #17)

Description

Kiss Me by Susan MalleryNew York Times bestselling author Susan Mallery creates the small-town destination for romance in charming Fool's Gold, California—where a loner cowboy finds the one woman who can capture his heart

After Phoebe Kitzke's kind heart gets her suspended from her job in LA, she swears off doing favors—until her best friend begs for help on the family ranch in Fool's Gold. Unfortunately, sexy cowboy Zane Nicholson isn't exactly thrilled by the city girl's arrival.

Thanks to his brother's latest scheme, Zane has been roped into taking tourists on a cattle drive. What Phoebe knows about ranching wouldn't fill his hat, but her laughter is so captivating that even his animals fall for her. One slip of his legendary control leads to a passionate kiss that convinces him she's exactly the kind of woman a single-minded loner needs to avoid.

In his arms, Phoebe discovers she's a country girl at heart. Yet no matter how much the small town feels like home, she can't stay unless Zane loves her, too…but is this cowboy interested in forever?
My review:  Kiss Me by Susan Mallery  (Fool's Gold #17)
4 stars
This has a lot of charming scenes, some that you just have to laugh at. Lots of drama, heart warming scenes and a couple of love scenes.

Phoebe Kitzke is a kind person that always wants to help and people take advantage of her.  She is single with no relatives.  Maya is her best friend.  She is a real estate agent in Hollywood, CA.

Zane Nicholson is a rancher he is 5th generation.  He is raising his young half brother.  He wants him not to regret his mistakes. But his brother has messed up badly.

Chase's has taken money for a cattle drive on his family ranch.  He planned to give money back but lost it. Now his brother is going to make a real cattle drive and he is going to get all the worst jobs.  He tries to get Maya his stepsister to help him out with convincing Zane to make amends for him.

Maya agrees to go on the cattle drive and uses guilt Phoebe to come with her.  In fact she convinces her to go out early and stay at the ranch.

The cattle drive changes and helps bring the people together.  There are two foster children, two senior citizens from Fool's Gold, vegetarian couple, a stand in couple to make sure the children are taken care of, Cookie the cook, Zane, Chase, Maya and Phoebe.

Of course there are other Fool's Gold residents that are part of the story.

I really like the last few chapters of the book.  Not your usual Fool's Gold ending.  Much better.

I was given this ebook to read by Net Galley and Harlequin.  In return I agreed to give a honest review of Kiss Me.
