Tea Cups and Carnage by Lynn Cahoon (A Tourist Trap Mystery #7)

The quaint coastal town of South Cove, California, is all abuzz about the opening of a new specialty shop, Tea Hee. But as Coffee, Books, and More owner Jill Gardner is about to find out, there's nothing cozy about murder . . .

Shop owner Kathi Corbin says she came to South Cove to get away from her estranged family. But is she telling the truth? And did a sinister someone from her past follow her to South Cove? When a woman claiming to be Kathi's sister starts making waves and a dead body is found in a local motel, Jill must step in to clear Kathi's name--without getting herself in hot water.

My review: Tea Cups and Carnage by Lynn Cahoon (A Tourist Trap Mystery #7)

4 stars

I like this series of cozy mysteries.  This is the seventh book in the series but you can read it solo if you want.  I think I have missed a book in the series.  I like the characters, the setting and the mystery.  It is also a clean cozy mystery.

Jill Gardner is the main character.  She owns Coffee, books and More.  She is involved in the city business group.  Her boyfriend is the police detective.

Kathi Corbin has moved to town she is opening a tea shop.  She will sell tea sets, teas.  She is from Texas.  Her family has shown up in town too.  She is not happy about it.

Jill is curious about the Corbin family and can't stop digging for information about them.  Where Kathi came from.

This is more than a murder mystery.  You get involved with the characters,  and see there daily life.  You know all of Jill's co-workers and a little about there lives.  You know the different shop owners.  It is a nice fast book.

South Cove, CA is a tourist town right by the ocean.

I will read more books by Lynn Cahoon in the future.  In fact you can get a look at her new series in the back of the book.

I was given a ARC to read for free from NetGalley and Kensington  Books and in return I agreed to give a honest review of Tea Cups and Carnage.
