Blog Tour Wedding Cake by Josi Kilpack(A Culinary Mystery, #12) Giveaway $25 Amazon Gift card or Paypal card

After years of mysteries, murder, and mayhem, the big day has arrived, and Sadie wants nothing more than for her wedding to Pete to be completely uneventful. When she receives a threatening, anonymous text message just days before the ceremony, she’s determined not to let it interfere with the celebration she has carefully planned for months. But as the threat escalates from a distant fear to a frightening reality, Sadie realizes just how much she’s underestimated the situation. Desperate to put an end to the games, lies, and manipulation that has shadowed her life, Sadie, her fiance, Pete, and her children pull out all the stops. What they don’t know, however, is just how far Sadie’s nemesis is willing to go to make good on the thread she made to Sadie three years ago.
Will the wedding go off without a hitch, or will “’til death do us part” come far too soon? There’s no turning back for anyone in the riveting conclusion to this twelve-volume culinary mystery series.

Author Josi S. Kilpack
Josi S. Kilpack hated to read until her mother handed her a copy of The Witch of Blackbird Pond when she was 13. From that day forward, she read everything she could get her hands on and accredits her writing “education” to the many novels she has “studied” since then. She began writing her first novel in 1998 and never stopped. Her novel, Sheep’s Clothing won the Whitney Award 2007 for Mystery/Suspense. Lemon Tart, the first book in the Sadie Hoffmiller Culinary Mystery series was a finalist in 2009. Josi currently lives in Willard Utah with her husband, children and super-cute cat.

My review: Wedding Cake by Josi Kilpack (A Culinary Mystery, #12)

4 stars

This is the last book of the series. Lots of familiar characters are back. She warns you that if you have not read the previous books wait to read it.  I have only read four of her other books and by the time I get to read them I will have forgotten the spoilers. I like the characters. They have history, faults, good relationships and are likeable.

Sadie and Pete are planning there wedding. Wedding is almost here and things are going really wrong. Sadie is getting threats texts from a person in her past.

There is a lot of wedding drama, action, danger and worry. As having a wedding in a few weeks for my daughter this might not have been a book to read.  Sadie did a good job not falling apart.  Sadie is  not going to stay out of the investigation of her case.  The police detective is not happy with her.  Pete is willing to work with his former co-workers.  The tension is really felt in this book.

If you are a fan of this series you will definitely want to read this book. It makes a good ending for the series and you will see what different characters have been up to as they come for the wedding.

This is a clean cozy culinary  mystery and I want to pick up the books that I have missed.  The recipes are at the end of the chapter they appear in.  I have book marked the ones I want to try.  I personally like the recipes at the back of a book so easier to find or skip over. They take me out of the story too much at times.

The setting is small town Garrison, Colorado where Sadie and Pete live.

I was given this ebook to read by Net galley and Shadow Mountain Publishing. In return I agreed to give honest review and be part of it's blog tour.
