Author Jeff Gunhus
jeffJeff Gunhus is the author of the Amazon bestselling supernatural thriller, Night Chill, and the Middle Grade/YA series, The Templar Chronicles. The first book of the series, Jack Templar Monster Hunter, was written in an effort to get his reluctant reader eleven-year old son excited about reading. It worked and a new series was born. His book Reaching Your Reluctant Reader has helped hundreds of parents create avid readers. Killer Within is his second novel for adults. As a father of five, he and his wife Nicole spend most of their time chasing kids and taking advantage of living in the great state of Maryland. In rare moments of quiet, he can be found in the back of the City Dock Cafe in Annapolis working on his next novel. If you see him there, sit down and have a cup of coffee with him. You just might end up in his next novel.

My review:  Jack Templar and the Lord of the Demons by Jeff Gunhus

4 stars

I really want to know the mystery of Jack's parents.  What are the secrets that people are hinting at?
I have enjoyed reading this series.  In the last couple of days I have reread the first 3 books and the 4 th book and now this one.  They have all been constant and exciting.  There has been plenty of drama, monsters, demons and teenage heroes as the sixth main characters continue on their quest to find the Jerusalem Stones. There are lots of fights between different creach and the Black Guard.

Jack Templar is a fourteen year old boy.  Who might be the chosen one to reunite the Jerusalem stones and the Templar ring, so they can stop Lord of the Creach, Ren Lucre.  Who plans to get all the creach (monsters) to war with the humans.

The Black Guard fight against monsters.  Jack has been one for less than a year.  Jack also learned that Ren Lucre is his grandfather and tried to kill him.  His father has been in Ren Lucre's prison for the past 13 years.

Eva is one of the instructors a teenager.  She has been turned into a vampire against her will.  She hopes with the stones reunited she can be turned back.

Will and T-Rex were Jack's best friends in school.  They decided to go with him to school to become a monster hunter.  There home life was bad.

Daniel has become a werewolf a week ago.  He was a instructor and likes Eva too.  Werewolves and vampires are sworn enemies.
Xavier was at the school too.  He is small but smart an inventor.

It has been said by an oracle that at least one of the six will die while on this mission.  The friends are there for each other and mankind.

I thought one fun scene is a guard where the gate to the underworld might be is reading a Percy Jackson novel.  I was thinking earlier it reminded me a little about that book too.

I will be looking forward for more books in this series.  They have at least two more stones to collect.

I was given this ebook to read and in return agree to give a honest review and be part of it's blog tour.
