Division spy Christy Hadden can’t wait for her latest assignment posing as a student at a prestigious New York City academy and car thief extraordinaire.
The best part of the mission is her attractive handler, Jeremy, and her new team. The worst part? The sociopath masquerading as the academy’s most popular guy.
But soon she realizes the car thieves are much more than they seem. Her simple spying mission becomes more dangerous than anyone imagined. If the organization discovers her true identity, they won’t hesitate to kill her, and if she fails, others will suffer the same fate.
Young Adults, teens and adults will love this exciting suspenseful adventure with a dash of romance. You won’t want to put it down
Author Cindy M. Hogan
Cindy M. Hogan graduated with a BA in education and is inspired by the unpredictable teenagers she teaches. More than anything she loves the time she has with her own teenage daughters and wishes she could freeze them at this fun age. If she’s not reading or writing, you’ll find her snuggled up with the love of her life watching a great movie or planning their next party. Most of all, she loves to laugh.
She is the bestselling and award winning author of the Watched trilogy, a YA suspense series with a dash of romance. She has since branched off to write a mystery, Gravediggers, that won Best YA novel of 2013, a contemporary romance, Confessions of a 16-Year-Old Virgin Lips, and two in a spy series, Adrenaline Rush and Hotwire.
My review: Hotwire by Cindy M. Hogan
4 stars
I liked it so much I went and bought The Watched Trilogy last night. Which is the first three books about Christy I believe. I enjoyed the characters I read about. Sorry to see that one won't be coming back. I thought it was exciting story. Sad that so many students were sucked into making wrong choices so young. This is a clean read but their is a lot of violence in it..
Christy Hadden is nineteen and just got a new spy mission. She is going back to high school in New Your City. Where they think a bunch of kids are stealing cars. Their mission is to find one certain car and get it back. Why is a mystery. Christy likes her handler Jeremy. She can remember everything she sees because of her photographic memory.
Agent Halluis Moreau, Agent Amedee Renaud and Jeremy are all working together to find the car. Halluis is Jack-of-all-trades spy. Ace is tech genius. They were working the case by themselves. Once they figured out the school was center they got Christy because she is one of the youngest spies out there. Jeremy came next and because he was Christy's handler was in charge.
The suspects they have gathered are two guys who both are attracted to Christy. Christy does not want to have anything to do with them but must. She figures out early who some of the ring are.
I am excited to read the early books their are talked about things that happened to Christy when she was younger. I read 5 books in a couple of days that feature Christy and wish there were more to read now.
The setting for this book is A.G. Bell Academy, an engineering prep school in New York School.
Some of the kids going to this school come from big money. Some others are their on scholarship.
This story is fast paced, lots of drama, action. Christy gets into trouble but she can out think and is fast. Every time it starts to be slowing down and safe something else happens.
I was given Hotwire to read so I could give an honest review and be part of Hotwires blog tour.
Praise for Hotwire
