My Review:Navy SEAL Surrender by Angi Morgan

4 STARS

I enjoyed the Navy Seal Surrender it was full of drama, action, fights and characters that I liked. I also want to see the characters again. Right from the first pages starts the drama and does not slow down. Has good humor and friends who stick with you in hard times.

John Sloane got message that his dad home in Texas was ill. He rented a truck and drove straight to the ranch. He waved at people in town as he passed through. Waiting for him was his old girl friend Alicia of 12 years ago. She slapped him then kissed him and welcomed him home.

John's dad had a stroke. His twin was not to welcoming home. They had not seen each other for 12 years. They both blamed each other and the town blamed Brian for a fire that happened back then.

Alicia picked up her daughter Lauren from day care and then she was attacked and her daughter kidnapped. Alicia was left for dead.
Her step mother-in-law and her new husband blamed Alicia for Lauren's kidnapping. Then they blamed Brian. The police arrested Brian.

No one knew that John was home. He knew the only way to keep Alicia out of jail and get Brian out was too keep Alicia safe and find Lauren. He got a trusted neighbor to stay with his dad. He got Alicia to lay false trail where she was and called a member of his Navy Seal team to get him a ex-Navy seal who could give him backup and dig safely for information.

Dev instead of getting him help showed up with the gear to help find Lauren and get his brother free.
When they had found no evidence of Brian helping Alicia they let him go. His neighbor got Brian's hair like John's. So if anyone saw John they would think he was Brian. Brian could have a good alibi when needed.

It was funny in a way because everyone in town knew that John and Brian were identical twins. But since everyone knew that Brian was in the Navy and could not get home to find out about his dad's health earlier most expected only Brian for being in town so he was clear.

I really want to see Brian and Dev again with their own books. I really like them. I also wanted to see John and Alicia back together again. Alicia's husband had been dead for a few years. Then her father-in-law killed himself and left all his money to Lauren instead of his younger wife.

The setting for the book is Texas. It is fast paced and does not slow down. Did not put the book down till I was finished reading it.
The suspense was good you knew who the bad people were right off. But they needed to be got. The crime and setup was done with lots of planning and would have worked except that John came home at the right time.

Their is one love scene.

This is the first book I have read I believe of Angi Morgan but I will read more books by her based on this one in the future.

I was given this ebook to read and in return asked to give honest review of it by Netgalley and Harlequin.
